cheesekeso2004
I have a question guys. I am finding a very suitable laptop or notebook of mine as an extension to my desktop PC. Can anyone recommend me of what brand with specs will suite me? Here is what I find: 1. Is upgradable 2. Quite good in gaming.. 3. Not that large but if there's no such, it will be ok 4. Power efficient 5. Can have wireless internet and the last 6. Affordable kaya? Kung possible kung may mga nasa 50k lang kung wala basta di lalagpas ng 100K kung wala parin e d upgrade q nalang desktop ko. Plano ko kasi sa Japan maghanap pero tagal pa kaya ask q lang.. If ever may suggest kayo, can u post it here with the pics and specs? Thanks a lot..<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suggest going to Cooltoyz They're one of the best and cheapest branded laptop sellers out there Im a Dell fan boy I like their warranty and support Cheap too If you want a desktop replacement laptop for gaming, get the one I bought (read a few pages back ) since it is very cheap If not, stick to anything that has dedicated video card. Power efficient? well, so far, the best laptop proc out there is Intel, of course, your power efficiency will depend on the hardware of your laptop my E1705 lasted for 30 mins with intense gaming of Counterstrike: Source w/ full volume the one I bought was above 100k, but its because of the 2gb kit upgrade (which is 16k) so its only around 98k when I bought it Quote Link to comment

Thanks a lot..<{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1 not sure abt upgrades.. eitherway i think it would b better to purchase a new laptop if time comes to upgrade..2 get a laptop with a dedicated video card.. do not get ATI.. i researched a lot before purchasing my laptop.. and it seems that Gforce i the better choice..3 not large? go for 14-15" LCDs.. 12 i think is too small unless ur really going for mobility.. get widescreen.. looks cool..4 power efficiency? go for centrino procesors.. most power efficient mobile procesors.. or anything with M.. celeron M pentium M but i think centrino is still better power and performance wise..5 most laptops come with wireless capabilities.. shouldnt b a problem..6 where r u buying? here or abroad? if purchased localy, it can b xpensive.. id say for decent specs, 60-80k.. suggest ko lang na build..1) centrino single or dual core 1.6ghz (go dual as the price difference from single is manageable)2) 1gb memory should b enuf.. purchase a 1gb memory in 1 stick so u can keep ur other slot free for upgrades in the future.. (2 slots available am i right?)3) for the hard drive, u decide how much u need.. but from wat i knw, 40 to 60 to 80 to 100 gb intervals are manageable.. the price jump from 100 to 120gb is xtreme!4) or u can keep ur HD at around 40-60 gb then purchase a DVDRW and just burn watever u have..5) get dedicated video card if ur gonna play games.. Gforce and not ATI.. if u can, get gforce 7800 or 7900.. if not, 6800 should b fine.. did i miss anything? feel free to PM me if u have any questions.. Quote Link to comment

ultimomachismo
LOL I would've ordered it thru dell too, only that when shipped to this place (of course, thru my cousins ) I might get dead pixels hehehe Vaio is not worth the price kasi but it really looks nice I own a Sony VAIO GRX560PI had it for 4 yrs and now its Kaput!Saw other forums and apparently, Vaios have a design problem. This really sucks... all of the owners complain that when their warranty expires, the laptop expires with it. Grrrr..... Quote Link to comment
