What does it mean when the laptop says it's hibernating? Mine's a Hewlett Packard.

Need a reply ASAP!

its one of the power management options of windows xp. Hibernate saves an image of your desktop with all open files and documents, and then it powers down your computer. When you turn on power, your files and documents are open on your desktop exactly as you left them.

i plan to buy a laptop pero pagka umalis ako for the us next year. dual core na lang ang bibilihin ko ung. gamit kong celeron sa bahay ok naman sya unless games ang gagamitin ko e hindi sya maganda

you should definitely get a dual-core notebook. i'm not sure of the prices back in manila but you can get a good dual-core notebook for a reasonable price when you get stateside. of course it depends on your use and purpose. dell has some pretty good deals all the time. you can also check this site to compare prices and good deals: Deal News

for myself, i have a dell XPS M1210, dual-core, lightweight, built-in webcam, wifi a/g, bluetooth, 1gig ram, 80 gig hdd, nvidia graphics. since i am often mobile its really great for me. dati i had a sony vaio pcg frv-37, desktop replacement nga pero ang bigat!

Hi, how much does it cost? Are there other choices when it comes to gaming laptops?

I got mine for $20,648 HKD - the standard price of the Dell M1710 is $19,999 but I increased the HD capacity (80GB - 120GB) and the soundcard options (to Audigy) so the price jumped up a little. Promo from Dell at the time was the double memory upgrade (1GB - 2GB).

Regarding other choices for gaming laptops... several officemates of mine bought the ASUS A8JN, while most of my bosses use a Sony VAIO. We all play World of Warcraft so there really is a variety of choices available. Nagustuhan ko lang talaga itong laptop na to so I got it hehehe.

Check the system requirements of the game(a) you're planning to install on the laptop and just look for a laptop that works best.

Heard good reviews about it.

How's the performance man?

How much did you get yor toy? :upside:

Its a great laptop.

I got it for 66k. Promo price at that time sa accent micro.

Although there are some technical problems, the service center changed all the problematic parts for free.

To be sure you got the problem free macbook, be sure to buy the Intel Core 2 Duo and not the Core Duo.

Its suppose to be the same price ( but some resellers sell the core 2 duo at a more expensive price ).

Performance wise, its ok even with the shared graphics.

Run all office files with no problems (under rosetta). But it will get faster once office 2007 for mac is out.
