sickness Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 Swedish metallers IN FLAMES will release their new full-length CD, "A Sense of Purpose", in Europe on April 4 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Come Clarity" was recorded at the band's own IF Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. The group received assistance during the vocal-recording sessions from producer Daniel Bergstrand, who previously produced the vocals on "Reroute To Remain", "Soundtrack To Your Escape" and "Come Clarity". All artwork for the album was created by Alex Pardee for ZeroFriends. "Blooddrunk" was recorded and produced by Mikko Karmila at Petrax and Finnvox studios in Finland during October, November and December 2007, except vocals, which were recorded by Peter Tägtren, and keyboards, which were recorded by Janne Wirman at Petrax studios, Finland, during October, November and December 2007. "Must k*ll" Inflikted' is the debut album from Cavalera Conspiracy, the Cavalera brothers' (Max and Igor) first record together in 12 years - since the release of Roots by Sepultura in 1996. Max Cavalera has indicated that the music on Inflikted will be similar to Sepultura's early death/thrash-metal recordings but it will also have a heavy hardcore punk influence, as well. In addition to Max and Igor Cavalera, Cavalera Conspiracy also features lead guitarist Marc Rizzo of Soulfly and Joe Duplantier of Gojira on bass and backup vocals. Rex Brown from Pantera and Down cameos on bass on one track, and another track features a collaboration with Max, Joe and Max's stepson Richie Cavalera (of Incite) on vocals.
