brian
Damn! Machida was excellent! He not only won but beat the crap out of loud-mouth Evans. That was a devastating defeat from the hands...and feet of the Dragon. I wanna watch that knockdown all over again. Quote Link to comment
textickles
The Machida Era has now began!!! Quote Link to comment
brian
^Right you are! It would be interesting to see a Spider & Dragon match-up. So we could know who really is the best right now. Quote Link to comment

pogi1119
Sugar would win by KO over Rampage. What does this tell you?... A. SIlva vs. Machida? If Silva plans to stay for the next 5 yrs., this is possible. But he has repeatedly hinted on retiring soon. And if this happens? With similar styles and speed, size will matter. Also, Silva's specialty is his Muay Thai clinch. I just can't see Lyoto getting into this AT this point the only fighter left that could have a chance against Machida would be Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Machida will next face Rampage. :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: I know it's a little premature but if you compare the fighitng style of Jackson and Machida, I'd say Machida. Perhaps Rampage would land a few good shots but I think he'll get knocked out by the Dragon. Quote Link to comment
yuuto
you lucky one!!!!!! Im a big fan of amir sadollah!!!!!he's my teammate in grappling hehe There's no way A. Sila and lyoto will fight. Silva said the LHW division is for lyoto. Who is the best guy to fight lyoto? Shogun? he only have 3 fights in the UFC so far and he had a lackluster performance on his 1st 2 fights.Rampage? Probably but I go for MachidaA. Silva? As I said its impossibleJardine? NahThiago Silva? he has to prove moreForrest Griffin? I like Forrest but I think Lyoto will win if they fight on the octagon soon Quote Link to comment
JediMasterTebs
I thought Machida was plain boring but lately he showed some spunk.. The guy has precise striking and in my opinion an underrated fists.. I didn't see the KO coming.. Quote Link to comment
pogi1119
Just to add: Anderson Silva has stated that when he and Machida spar, Machida always gets the best of him. Quote Link to comment

maddromeo
Patay na! Just like Joe Rogan said "the start of the Machida era begins"! Yikes! Looks like Machida's gonna be Champ for a while! :hypocritesmiley: Quote Link to comment
Kyle_Rayner
Can't think of any fighter who could really match well with Machinda except for A.Silva. I'll go for Machida with the fight against Rampage. Rampage has power on both hands but what can his power do if he can't hit his opponent. Karate is back... so have your kids start waxing on and waxing off. Edited May 25, 2009 by Kyle_Rayner Quote Link to comment

The spider has long legs which could cause problems for Machida but then again Machida is unpredictable; you don't know when he'll strike. I don't see Rampage winning against Machida. I would go as far as saying that The Dragon will knock Rampage out in 3. Rashad vs. Rampage would have been an interesting match since they're both power punchers and wrestlers. Machida is in a class of his own in the lightheavyweight division just like Silva in the middleweight division. Quote Link to comment
