pogi1119
Hopefully he remains in the light heavyweight class, unless he wants a similar beating like that from Crocop at K1. Wanderlei will debut on UFC 79 and yes Serial Killer, it will be on December TBA pa ang opponent Quote Link to comment

JustSmile=)
Don't know about you guys, but I really agree with Dana's decision to release Babalu... Damn!! He really went over the edge in that match.. Maybe he just went berserk when he saw tons of blood coming out of Heath's head.. but then again that's no excuse.. :thumbsdownsmiley: Quote Link to comment
hardtohandle
Sa Sunday na pala yung UFC 75 ah! Magandang panoorin na naman ito. Rampage will be lucky if it will go to the scorecards, but I doubt it... It will be Hendo by KO or referee stoppage... Sa Solar sports pa rin ba ito? Quote Link to comment
Larry
is dan henderson really that good? aside from what was already mentioned Dan Henderson has: competed in the olympics in Greco Roman wrestling (AFAIK the only other MMA Fighter to be on an Olympic team is Mark Coleman, no wait that Judo guy from Pride, f*ck I forgot his name, competed in the olympics too) beat:Yuki KondoCarlos NewtonRodrigo "Minotauro" Noguiera they first fought in Rings, Nog owned his ass twice in Pride, though.BabaluVitor BelfortMurilo 'Ninja' RuaMurilo Bustamanteamong others won UFC 17 (way back when the UFC had a last man standing tournament format. only other MMA fighter to hold belts in two weight classes (he competed in 205 at first as there was no 185 division in pride then) the other guy is Randy Couture. it's also notable to say that he beat Renzo Gracie via KO, and KTFO Vanderlei Silva at a time when Silva was widely considered as one of the most brutal MMA fighters to step into the ring. *edited for retardation Edited September 5, 2007 by Larry Quote Link to comment
_eRon_
who did dan henderson beat to get his two belts?..the current MW champion in the UFC is anderson silva right? who is the LW champion? or is it supposed to be light heavyweight (LHW)? if its LHW champion its quinton jackson.. i'm really curious if he really is that good or is it really just hype.. i was watching highlights&fights of fedor emalienenko (tama ba spelling ko?) in youtube&dailymotion yesterday, magaling tlga siya, he armbarred mark coleman, submitted kevin randleman, beat mirko cro cop in his own game (stand-up) & beat the living crap out of minotauro..i really hope he signs with the UFC, if dana white really loves MMA & for the good of MMA, he should sign the russian despite his demands, i'm really curious what fedor will do to randy couture in a fight, what a dream fight would that be.. HEAVYWEIGHT UNIFICATION MATCH FEDOR "THE LAST EMPEROR" EMELIANENKO - PRIDE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION VS RANDY "THE NATURAL" COUTURE - UFC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION damn! .. Quote Link to comment
Larry
who did dan henderson beat to get his two belts?.. Hendo got his belt when he beat Murilo Bustamante for the vacant championship Welterweight (183lbs) was new then and they needed a champion He got the Middleweight (205lbs) championship by beating it out of Wandy at the last Pride show in Vegas. Watch him fight, and you'll believe the hype. He's strong and quick, and he's not afraid to trade, nor fight at a heavier weight class (he's a natural 185lb'er but will gladly mix it up with Light Heavies, even Heavyweights like Nog) he's the real deal IMO. submitted kevin randleman, what's notable here is that randleman just administered to Fedor one of the most earth shaking suplexes I've ever seen (it's on all Pride Highlight reels) and The Cyborg just shook it off like it was nothing while proceeding to kick Kevin's ass. beat the living crap out of minotauro to mino's credit, even if he got the ever living crap beat out of him by fedor he refused to get knocked out. I've never even seen Mino get knocked out come to think of it, hell even a truck couldn't take him out (insert trivia here: when mino was a child he got ran over by a truck which is why he has this nasty scar on his back) ----- Couture/Emelianenko is a fight I would really like to see. Randy and Fedor are two of the most intelligent fighters in the game today, and it would be great to see that intelligence pitted against each other in the cage. I'm slowly leaning towards Randy to win this if ever because of three things: 1) When Fedor and Lindland fought, Lindland took him down twice, and Randy is a hell of a lot better wrestler than Matt. (and yes I score those as takedowns as Fedor just grabbed the rope twice to avoid being taken down) 2) These are the two's last six fights: Fedor:Matt Lindland Submission (armbar) Mark Hunt Submission (kimura) Mark Coleman Submission (armbar) Zuluzinho Submission (punches) Mirko Filipović Decision (unanimous)Tsuyoshi Kohsaka TKO (doctor stoppage) Couture:Gabriel Gonzaga TKO (Strikes) Tim Sylvia Decision (Unanimous) Chuck Liddell TKO (Punches) - lossMike van Arsdale Submission (Anaconda Choke) Chuck Liddell KO (Punch) - loss Vitor Belfort TKO (Doctor Stoppage) Now this is arguable but I would say that Randy, who lost twice in the last six, has had more quality opponents than Fedor. Randy got Chuck (twice), Gabriel Gonzaga, and Vitor. Fedor had Mark Hunt who is an MMA noob, two fighters past their prime in TK, and Coleman, Zuluzinho who's a f*cking tomato can if I ever saw one, and a severely overmatched Matt Lindland. The only quality opponent that you could consider is Mirko and it went to a decision. More quality fights, equals more positive experience and added MMA knowledge. 3) Randy has been working on his standup as of late, head movements, great footwork, and is developing a killer right. Now we've seen Fedor rocked already by Fujita, IMO Randy can do the same thing except that Randy is smart enough to capitalize if ever that would happen. regardless of whatever my opinion might be, it's still going to be a great match, and if it ever goes down it will prove to be very exciting and no doubt, very very close. Larry
FEDOR NEWS from MMA Weekly The Ultimate Fighting Championship has taken over the worldwide mixed martial arts landscape, signing a majority of the premier fighters in the sport. But there are still a few notable fighters out there that have yet to call the UFC, or anyone else for that matter, home. Chief among them is Fedor Emelianenko, nearly universally regarded as the #1 heavyweight fighter in the world. That situation isn’t likely to remain so for much longer though, as speculation has swirled around Fedor’s contract status, or lack thereof, as of late. The hot rumor over the past few days has been that he has inked a deal with the UFC. Not so says Reed Wallace, President of White Chocolate Management, who represents Fedor Emelianenko in the United States. [uPDATE] “Fedor has not signed anything [as of Tuesday afternoon],” Wallace informed MMAWeekly. “He’s going to do something soon. They can’t negotiate forever.” It’s quite obvious that the UFC would have to be the leading candidate for Fedor’s services, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t still other suitors vying for the world’s top heavyweight. Fedor’s managers, Vadim Finkelstein and Apy Echteld, met with the UFC late last week, but a signed contract has yet to materialize. “UFC discussions went very well according to Apy,” said Wallace in reference to the meeting. Initially it seemed the UFC was unwilling to make any modifications to their contract, but it now appears there has been some movement. “I can say that they are very close to a deal, but some last minute players have stepped up as well,” he said. Speaking of his opinion on the interests of Fedor, Wallace continued, “I’d be happy for him to go to the UFC. He would get great exposure there. The world need’s to see Fedor fight. I get excited when I watch him. He’s the greatest. I’d just love to see him fight.” [uPDATE] Wallace confirmed, however, that there are at least two other major players vying for Fedor. One of those is Mark Cuban, billionaire owner of the National Basketball Association Dallas Mavericks and the HDNet television network. Upon discussions with Echteld, Wallace verified that the other is an undisclosed party that has already presented a major competing offer to Fedor’s management. Wallace indicated that he would be approaching Fedor’s management with an offer from Cuban’s group this weekend, assuming that he does not sign with the UFC or elsewhere prior. Regardless of his contract status, Wallace did mention that Fedor will attend UFC 75 in London on Saturday, but don’t assume that his attendance is indicative of the UFC winning out amongst other suitors. Wallace said that Fedor recently signed a sponsorship deal with Affliction, makers of the popular clothing line, and will be in attendance this weekend, along with UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture, for promotional purposes. ---- this might be it Edited September 5, 2007 by Larry Quote Link to comment

clubber_lang
Fedor vs Couture would be the pinnacle of Dana White's tenure as UFC head, not the signing of Wanderlei Silva... Quote Link to comment
