1. once again, Randy Couture made me look stupid. tama nga, he's a freak of nature! and he proves that Greco-Roman is the best form of wrestling for MMA. forget the broken nose, that modified single Randy did that caused the breakage is amazing as it is.

2. GSP did win, pero somehow Mr. Kos (eeew) earned my respect. though he was taken out of his gameplan he didn't panic and gave GSP openings, he made him earn the win still.

3. why do i find it much funner if taller guys fall and get knocked down? i mean, y'all saw naman how Patrick Cote floored Kendall Grove, and Grove flailed like Gumby... :lol: seriously i'm happy for Cote, one of the nicest guys in the UFC roster. after making his debut against some big headed (literally & figuratively) dude named Ortiz now he's making ripples after being in the finals of TUF 4. kudos!

4. some people may hate Roger Hutera for being "overhyped" (he's the Great Latino Hope daw :lol: ), but i just loved what he did against Alberto Crane. akalain mo ba naman, gamitin ung big screen to set up elbows! :lol:

5. Marcus Aurelio, although losing in a close split decision to Clay Guida, was still owned.

Guida: "This ain't PRIDE anymore. This is the UFC!"

6. was there any Brock Lesnar sightings in the entire PPV?

7. Renato Sobral should (and probably will) be removed from the UFC roster. it's one thing to unintentionally not let go of a choke, pero when he admitted it was intentional, he's gonna get his a** handed to him now. after that stunt he pulled (and the complementary media backlash soon after), no American MMA organization will be sane enough to sign his stupid a**.

8. i read in some wrestling & MMA sites that the whole Brock Lesnar to the UFC thing was an "angle" Brock & Dana White were playing. WTF?! <_<

9. dun sa nagtatanong ng MMA shirts, punta ka sa K-1 Shop sa may Gilmore. take ortigas ave. papuntang san juan, tapos pag nasa intersection ka na with a gas station on your right, go straight. malapit na ung K-1 Shop dun.

10. UFC 75 is next, & as each of these UFC PPV's roll off the assembly line, it's becoming more apparent that Dana White & the Fertitta Brothers have completely KILLED the PRIDE Fighting Championships.

^ what i mentioned about Babalu, yung nakalock na ung hold at either nagtap na ung kalaban or wala na sa ulirat ung kalaban... kung ndi napansin na nagtap, or ndi napansin na out na ung kalaban, no harm no foul yun... e kaso yung kay Babalu, tinignan pa nya ng derecho ung referee habang ayaw alisin ung choke... ayun out ng ilang minutes ung kalaban nya... pag nagkataon pwede mamatay yung kalaban nya kasi choke yun e, pag nagtagal na walang oxygen ang utak delikado...

I was amazed at the reactions to Napao's broken nose. A lot of people said Randy cheated and the headbutt was illegal, what they forget is that the accidental head clash was Napao's own fault. If he hadn't held on to the cage as he was being slammed he could have controlled his fall better and avoided the top of Randy's head.

I have to disagree here. GSP owned him through and through, he was playing with Kos like a child, taking him down at will, combos with punches and low kicks (which was very fun to watch), and it was pretty obvious that GSP held back on that kimura, if he finished the kimura Kos would go home with a broken shoulder. Kos got schooled. I still LOL at his earlier interviews "GSP!? Take ME down!?" ---- LOL whatf*ckingever!

that was nice, I'm surprised that this was the first time I saw the big screens being used.

Lesnar was at the post fight interview. I hope that when Brock gets signed (and he will) they don't let him fight a top tier guy. Let him run through the ranks like everybody else did, have him fight Herring, or some other great UFC Gatekeeper like Forrest, hell have him fight Cabbage, then let's see if deserves a shot at Mino, Randy and Mirko

Babalu was obviously pissed at Heath. It was probably Heath's shirt (which was Babalu's mugshot from when he was arrested) that ticked him off. Heath was looking smug at the start of the fight and was (reportedly) trash talking Babalu at the weigh ins. I would have been very pissed off too if someone did that to me, it was very disrespectful and that could only explain why Babalu showed a different kind of intensity during the fight. I'm not shocked that he held on to the choke longer than he should, BJ did it, Kid Yamamoto did it, there are far worse things such as Vanderlei's soccer kicks and head stomps to a downed opponent, Sakuraba breaking a Gracie shoulder with a spinning kimura, etc. It's MMA, not softball. Guys get choked out in training (if they train all out) all the time. If Heath mouthed off and tried to play a mental game by disrespecting Babalu, he should have been able to back his talk up, but alas his GnP defence consisted of using his forehead. I'm glad Babalu is back, I've always liked this kid.

Following yet another feather-in-his-cap performance Saturday at UFC 74 in Las Vegas, real life superhero Randy Couture (16-8), was informed Sunday by doctors that he'd broken his arm during his third round TKO stoppage of Gabriel Gonzaga (8-2).Couture, 44, sustained the injury Saturday blocking a Gonzaga right high kick with his left forearm, cleanly separating the ulna bone with a "nightstick fracture," a break common in law enforcement circles. The injury placed the UFC heavyweight champion's arm in a splint for six weeks. The appendage will not need a cast.

Regardless of what Heath said to him, what Babalu did was downright dangerous. There is no place for that kind of behaviour in the MMA world, especially for teh UFC that is seeking more acceptance from many bigots...

ok, i've been doing a lot of reading on the whole Babalu thing, and i still believe he's at fault. contrary to what was reported about David Heath wearing a t-shirt with Babalu's mugshot...

[RETRACTION]

The original publication of this article included an inaccurate statement that David Heath wore a T-shirt with Sobral’s mug shot on it in an effort to get under Sobral’s skin. Heath DID NOT wear such a T-shirt. In fact, he was wearing a shirt representing his sponsor Warrior Wear and it had no reference whatsoever to Sobral. MMAWeekly would like to apologize to David Heath and his camp for the error and any unwarranted attention that it reflected upon David Heath.

Let's get straight to it and say that Randy did a phenomenal job at UFC 74 in defending his title. As a fan and a fellow Washingtonian I was happy to see him win. But as for the title itself -- it still sits in my house. No one in UFC ever beat me for it, and as far as I am concerned, no one in the UFC can be the heavyweight champion until they take that belt off of me in the cage.

At the post fight press conference, Dana White said "there isn't anyone in the world that can beat this guy" in reference to Randy. All this because Randy beat a guy that had less than ten fights and only one noteworthy win? That's not even a world championship level fight, let alone reason to proclaim the winner as "unbeatable". This comment was made even more ridiculous by the fact that I was standing right there, living proof that Randy Couture is definitely beatable.

"Unbeatable", Dana says. If he actually believes that, I'm more than willing to step into the cage and prove him wrong. It wouldn't even have to be for the belt. I already got the real belt. They can keep their pile of brass they purport as the UFC Heavyweight Title and put it on their next paper champ.

^ wow. bring on the Baby Faced Assassin!
