utin_gahi
Guys what do you think of Chevrolet Optra? It's distributed by GM. Dati may Opel ako, also distributed by them and found it expensive to maintain so I sold it. I'm about to get a 2nd more economical car. My current one is a Camry. Quote Link to comment

Pasaw2
I highly recommend 2005 Hyundai Matrix, 1.5 turbo diesel. sobrang tipid sa diesel. at first, di ako makapaniwala, 1 full tank runs for around 750 km. sobrang sulit, lalo na pagnagboost na. Quote Link to comment

Ferrum
Altis 1.6J M/T - Matipid sa gas (comparing same 1.6L cars), mura (cheapest 1.6 ng toyota sa phil.), maganda resale value, maraming parts available, di mahal magpaservice sa casa at matibay. Quote Link to comment

airchicken
based on experience mas matipid ang 2.0 kesa 1.6 or 1.3. ang tendency kasi is you step up more kapag mas mababa ang displacement, unlike pag naka-2.0 ka na konting apak mo lang hataw na, so you end up consuming less gasoline than on a 1.3 or 1.6L car. i started on a 1.3L then shifted to 1.6L. pareho lang ang gas consumption ko. when i swapped cars with my sis for a week, mas lalo tumipid (1.8L naman siya). as long as you dont use automatic transmission para kontrolado mo pa rin hataw. pero if gas consumption is really a concern, kia picanto would be your best bet. from sucat to quezon avenue and back to sucat - halos hindi man bumaba yung fuel indicator! my two cents... Pasaw2
di maingay makina?yung typical clatter ng diesels?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> di nman maingay, kala nga ng mga friends ko gas. kala din nila nagpalagay ako ng intercooler sa harap. sabi ko stock ung intercooler... if your really interested, pm mo ako. bigay ko # ng agent ko from hyundai, pwede ka nya pa test drive. basta bro, sulit talga, inggit nga erpats ko. he drives a CRV kse. sobrang lakas sa gas... 2FaSt
jazz pa rin pre...resale value na lang tignan mo wla na tatalo sa honda...performance and engine? i challenge anyone to test their non honda's for a race..with cash involved ofcourse..stock sa stock lang...testing natin yung lynx mo sa vtec...pm mo ako kung laban ka...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> drag ba? ala kasing skills sa drag eh... proper shifting lang.. all depends sa lakas ng makina talaga.. as for speed matulin talaga honda.. but kung torque na pag uusapan.. ill bet on a mazda... try to test both a mazda 323 1.6 and a civic vti 1.6 .. fill it up with weight.. for example put 1000kg on both cars and then go uphill sa baguio. lets see kung which car ang mahihirapan.. swerte lang ang mga honda fanatics dito kasi they have the SIR's which is fast enough and also they can put any engine they want on their hondas whether its a b16,b18,b20 and the recent k20 madali mag engine swap kasi halos lahat bolt on.. as for the mazda ala kasing nilabas dito sa pinas na turbo variants. unlike sa japan or sa states.. ill give you a link na tinalo ng mazda ang well famed hatchback ng honda with a b18c engine..imagine ha b18c engine ng integra its a 1.8L.. versus a 1.6 b6dohc mazda miata .. kasama na din dito ung ae86 toyota trueno ni KT(drift king).. and also some other cars. check out the link.. https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/msatlas/web/bes...ng_roadster.wmv Para sakin get a car na suitable sa lifestyle mo on how will you make use out of it..wag mo isipin muna ung porma.. try to evaluate and compare every car on your list.. this are the things na dapat mo evaluate.. 1. gas consumption2. cost ng parts.3.availability ng parts.4.resale value kung plano mo i benta later on..5.comfortability ng oto..(suspension,interior) just my two cents....
