Duterte's Presidency : Expectations, Controversies, Rants, Etc.

Recommended Posts

On who's perspective? Definitely not ours.

My perspective, DUHHH! Ala nga naman perspective mo eh ako yung nag sulat. Hahaha

Mr. Wala Akong Alam / Boy Sisi.. Pero puro credit grabbing ang ginagawa with this so called "Build Build Build" (funded by international debt pa lahat ng bagong projects).

Gotta love how you still support him even though we're at year 2.5 and other than the war on drugs, what has he accomplished? Is the war on drugs even successful? 6 months pala ah. Dami niyang sinabi sa campaign and what has he delivered? I don't think he has even accomplished 10% of his promises. 2.5/6 years and 10%?

DOLE orders Jollibee to regularize over 6,000 workers

https://www.rappler.com/nation/199531-dole-contractualization-jollibee-regularize-workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Wednesday, April 4, ordered popular Philippine fast food company Jollibee Foods Corporation to regularize more than 6,000 workers, as the agency continues its campaign against contractualization.

DOLE National Capital Region Director Henry John Jalbuena said in a press statement that his office ordered Jollibee to regularize 6,482 workers deployed by two contractors.

DOLE also ordered Jollibee to refund 426 workers more than P15 million in "illegally collected payments" from the company's "Coop Share, Coop Christmas Paluwagan Fund, and Coop Savings Fund."

In a statement sent to Rappler, Jollibee said it is following the process DOLE had prescribed to appeal the order.

Jollibee said it remains committed to “complying with the law and DO 174, which allow contracting arrangement with legitimate Service Provider.”

“In compliance with regulations, we only deal with reputable Service Contractors that have been duly accredited and registered with DOLE. We have been cooperating and will continue to cooperate with DOLE," Jollibee said.

Economy gusto niyo?

GDP is going up (sana naman kasi over spending na tayo), BUT it's just at par with the past administration. The forecast for GDP will be pretty much the same.

Have you checked the inflation rate? Forecasts? 4 months into 2018 palang and its already obvious. Ano pa kaya in the coming years! JUSKOLORD!

They have yet to explain the current high ratings of this foul mouthed president. But they settle to accuse the pro digongs as bots.

Instead of reading daphnes multi post about the current accomplishments, the classic butt hurt settles for QQs and bypass all of it. I mean iba ang idiot sa nagpapaka idiot.

Maganda pala palakad hah siguro sa iilang nakikinabang gaya ng mga ito.

May picture ako with Leila De Lima when she visited our University, I took a leave from work just to hear her side and perspective. So base on your Logic and reasoning, nakikinabang din ako sa illegal activities ni De Lima? Si Trillanes V kaba?

A mere picture doesn't prove anything, only speculations and assumption.

Maganda ang sagot ng Jollibee.

Why would you be unhappy if our GDP growth rate is at par with the past administration?

What is your problem with inflation rate? The inflation rate of basic goods consumed by the low income groups are still within the 2-3% range.

The increase in inflation rates to 4% due to rising fuel cost is due to dollar exchange rate and international supply and demand on oil and are not within the control of the government. Anyway, this rise in fuel costs affects the rich A & B sectors who can absorb the increase. It does not affect the CDE sectors so much because they are mostly commuters, not car owners.

Compare that with Argentina's 27% inflation and India's 5% (down from 9.5%).

Yes, the government has no control over the oil prices because the oil companies base their prices on the world market. There used to be an OPSF to subsidize oil companies when fuel prices go up. I don't know why Ramos took this out.

Basically, he doesn't know what inflation really is.

ano ang basis ng 2% to 3% inflation on basic goods na sinabi mo?

from a news clipping wherein it reported feb 18 inflation reached 4.5% ...

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Tuesday, March 6, said higher prices of food, drinks, and tobacco were the biggest factors behind the jump.

"The uptrend resulted from the faster annual gain recorded in the heavily-weighted food and non-alcoholic beverages index at 4.8% and the double-digit annual increment in alcoholic beverages and tobacco index at 16.9%," Deputy National Statistician Romeo Recide said in a statement on Tuesday.

Go over the CPI (Consumer Price Index) of basic goods and food items purchased by the most households.

You'll see that they are within the 2-3% range. The overall inflation , if you factor in the price of sweetened drinks, alcoholic drinks, tobacco products, petroleum products, is about 4%. If you normally don't buy much of these items, the inflation effects on your purchasing power is less, around 2-3 % only. The middle and upper class are more affected, close to 4% for them.

You need to study more about household purchasing choices to be able to make sense about how inflation affects the different sectors of society.
