ANAHEIM -- Corey Perry got his ninth career hat trick to help the Anaheim Ducks to their eighth straight win, a 4-2 victory against the Los Angeles Kings at Honda Center on Sunday.

2/28/16: Leon Draisaitl gets to a loose puck in front of the Islanders' net and jams it home, notching his 16th goal of the season for the lead

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers scored three third-period goals to avenge their most lopsided loss of the season in a 3-1 win against the New York Islanders at Rexall Place on Sunday.

Anton Lander, with his first goal of the season, Leon Draisaitl and defenseman Brandon Davidson scored for the Oilers (23-34-7) to end a seven-game losing streak.

Goalie Cam Talbot made 36 saves for Edmonton, which lost 8-1 to the Islanders on Feb. 7 at Barclays Center.

Johnson snipes opening goal TBL@TOR: Johnson goes top-shelf to open the scoring

2/29/16: Tyler Johnson fires a wicked wrist shot over the glove of Garret Sparks to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead in the 2nd

TORONTO - Tyler Johnson is a tough man to keep down.

One night after he took a shot in the face that caused his visor to shatter and open an 11-stitch cut over his left eye, Johnson scored two goals to help the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 2-1 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre on Monday.

Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 31 saves to earn his 11th victory of the season. Tampa Bay (37-22-4) has won seven in a row.

"There was no chance I was going to miss the game," Johnson said. "I actually could have played the rest of [sunday] night's game if there had been more time. It looks a lot worse than it is."

Nazem Kadri scored and Garret Sparks made 26 saves for Toronto (21-30-10), which has lost six of its past seven games.

Hornqvist's hat trick lifts Penguins over Coyotes

Forward has four goals, seven points in past six games

by Wes Crosby / NHL.com Correspondent

PITTSBURGH - Arizona Coyotes captain Shane Doan described Monday as horrendous, but Patric Hornqvist, Marc-Andre Fleury and the remaining Pittsburgh Penguins would likely disagree.

Hornqvist scored his first NHL hat trick and Fleury earned his 43rd career shutout to help the Penguins defeat the Coyotes 6-0 at Consol Energy Center on Monday.

"It feels great to get that one, the first out of the way," Hornqvist said. "Hopefully there's more coming. I've been struggling to get the third goal. I think I have 20, almost 20 games with two goals and I couldn't get the third one. It's nice to get one tonight."

In his eight-year NHL career, Hornqvist had scored exactly two goals in 18 games entering Monday. He matched that total in the first period to give the Penguins a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

Forward Chris Kunitz forced a turnover behind the Arizona net and fed Sidney Crosby in the left circle, where Crosby slid a pass into the Coyotes crease. Hornqvist battled defensemen Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Michael Stone, and forward Antoine Vermette before backhanding a shot past goalie Louis Domingue 5:42 into the first.

2/29/16: Derek Stepan skates in, uses his patience and beats a diving Joonas Korpisalo for a shorthanded goal to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead

NEW YORK -- With Eric Staal making his New York Rangers debut, they got a shorthanded goal from Derek Stepan with 2:48 remaining to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 at Madison Square Garden on Monday.

Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh poked the puck from Columbus defenseman Seth Jones, and Stepan broke in down left wing against goalie Joonas Korpisalo. Stepan faked, then went around Korpisalo and tucked in a forehand for his 14th goal of the season to give the Rangers (37-20-6) their fifth win in six games.

Rangers defenseman Marc Staal, the younger brother of Eric, was in the penalty box serving a tripping penalty, when the winning goal was scored.

McDavid's overtime winner EDM@BUF: McDavid's second goal of night wins it in OT

3/1/16: Connor McDavid backhands a shot past Robin Lehner in overtime for his second goal of the night, winning the game for the Oilers

BUFFALO - Connor McDavid scored two goals, including the game-winner with 1:12 left in overtime, to help the Edmonton Oilers to a 2-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres at First Niagara Center on Tuesday.

McDavid's second goal came on a rush up the right wing side in which he put a backhand shot past Sabres goalie Robin Lehner for his 12th goal of the season.

McDavid, the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, scored moments after Sabres rookie Jack Eichel, the No. 2 selection, rushed against Oilers goalie Cam Talbot and put a spinning backhand shot wide. McDavid picked up the puck following that shot and took it the rest of the way for the goal.

This was the first time McDavid and Eichel faced each other in the NHL; McDavid missed the first game between the Oilers and Sabres on Dec. 6 because of a fractured clavicle.

Edmonton (24-34-7) has won back-to-back games. Buffalo (25-31-8) has lost two straight and four of its past five.

Bergeron's late goal lifts Bruins past Flames

Bergeron's go-ahead PPG CGY@BOS: Bergeron puts Bruins back on top with PPG

3/1/2016: Patrice Bergeron waits for the pass from Ryan Spooner and then sends a one-timer past the goalie to give the Bruins the lead late

BOSTON -- Patrice Bergeron scored a tie-breaking power-play goal with 3:24 remaining in the third period to give the Boston Bruins a 2-1 win against the Calgary Flames at TD Garden on Tuesday.

Calgary was assessed a bench minor for having too many men on the ice with 4:07 to play. The Bruins' power play had been 0-for-4 and hadn't scored in a goal in Boston's previous four games. But Bergeron capitalized on Boston's fifth chance of the night when he beat Joni Ortio with a one-timer from the high slot after a pass from the right half-wall by Ryan Spooner.

It was Bergeron's 24th goal of the season.

"I think tonight was one of those games where we needed to come up big ... we had to make a play at some time," Bergeron said. "It was late in the game and it was an important goal, obviously. I think we had a few good looks and chances, but at the end of the day you've got to bear down and put the puck in the back of the net."
