FleurDeLune
^^Yeah, right. It was sometime a couple of years ago (not a mod yet) and I kind of advocating this "no to hocus-pocus" PCOS. And now...I'm not surprised if what might seem to be a turn of events may in fact a "well-planned strategy". Quote Link to comment
Edmund Dantes
Kaya nga sila naging superpower after world war 2 di ba? Aysus Quote Link to comment

Tama naman eh. Ilibig yung tao bilang sundalo! Quote Link to comment

Quote Link to comment

On the issue 1. OO we should learn from History. Marcos is a rise and fall story. Started out good and ended up making a lot of mistakes. But that does not mean he doesn't deserve a proper burial for being a soldier man lang. Quote Link to comment

What a lot of people cannot understand is that "Libingan ng mga Bayani" is just a political name of the cemetery. Basically it's just a military cemetery. It is where dead soldiers are buried. You don't have to be a certified hero to be buried there. The only qualification you need is to have served the country as a soldier and has not been charged with treason or desertion. All Presidents of the Philippines, the commanders-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, qualify to be buried in this cemetery. Edited May 26, 2016 by camiar 2 Quote Link to comment

Quote Link to comment

True, the Minions of the Yellow feel that the only heroes in the country have a surname of Aquino. Basta ako agree ako ilibing siya there as former RP president. Everyone happy! Edmund Dantes
Here is an interesting tidbit. Indonesia has a parralell history with us. If we had Marcos, they Had Suharto Like Marcos Suharto was a former soldier, who became president, who became a dictator. Initially Indonesia experienced prosperity under his regime, but it eventually became a third world country. They say he also plundered and pillaged indonesia. They even said that genocide is among his crimes. Marcos ruled for 20 years, Suharto ruled for 31 years. Like Marcos, he was ousted also by a people power movement in 1998. Unlike Marcos however, Suharto was given proper military burial. And they are not wasting energy and time to keep blaming a dead dictator. They focused more on rebuilding their country. I had the privilege of meeting the undersecretary of their ministry of health during a conference. And I am amazed at how much they are progressing with their science and technology. They will soon have a bullet train..... Morale is... 2 Quote Link to comment
