You see stuff like this, then you look at Philippine "news". Mapapaisip ka, nasa "Time Space Warp" at bumalik ng 200 years ang Pinas?

Asteroid mining made legal after Barack Obama gives US citizens the right to own parts of celestial bodies

Luxembourg aims to be big player in possible asteroid mining

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2016/feb/03/luxembourg-aims-to-be-big-player-in-possible-asteroid-mining

I still can't imagine how possible it is for anyone to commercialize anything that comes from outer space, more so in harvesting out of mining from those asteroids.

Unless such articles are some kind of hoax.

They are actually legit:

There are at least 2 companies, Deep Space Resources, and Planetary Resources that are backed by billionaires who are looking into it. Elon Musk's Space X is looking into it as well as a "sideline" once they get the ball rolling on the company's plan for Mars colonization.

Space companies seem to be popping up left and right and funded by billionaires.

Si Mar, may teaser na for Hocus PCOS:

During the 13th to 15th century, the superpowers of the era, Spain, Portugal, Holland, France and England are on a race to discover lands in the Far East. They claim exclusive economic rights to exploit the resources of the lands they discover.

We are now in similar situation where the superpowers of today, USA, China, Russia are claiming space bodies, planetary and lunar areas as their exclusive properties, just by mere fact that they "discovered" it and have sent their men or machines to land there or take fly-by pictures.

Malayo talaga para sa Pilipinas to lay claim on asteriods. We are not a Superpower. At least not yet.

Currently the race among superpowers is to explore and stake claim on something nearer to home -- the Lunar surface -- for future colonization and exploitation of its mineral wealth.

But that would take a very long time before it happens. Right now, metals and mineral ores are lying at our very doorstep -- at ocean bottoms. But we don't have the affordable technology yet to reach them.

This incident puzzles me.

The incident where an assistant manager (not sure of the position) in Solaire died inside one of their hotel rooms.

Ideally, the people that were with the victim is automatically considered persons of interest since they were there when the victim died.

What I don't understand is why they were not automatically placed into custody.

Lahat sila naka Ecstasy, so whatever their statements are it does not matter dahil wala sila sa sarili nila. Parang pag lasing at naka disgraya ka automatic kasalanan mo. The medical result and CCTV footage says it all.

On Topic:

Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on Money Laundering investigation commence today.

In this case I believe that the RCBC manager is part of the scheme. My mom was a bank exec and she understands the process. If the the receiving bank got notice to hold off the transfer how come the manager still allowed the transaction to push thru?

Because the head office allegedly was the one which approved of this transaction. In my opinion, the BM is guilty as hell. She reportedly made an unauthorized account for Go and also made 4 fictitious accounts which is falsification of documents which is a crime in itself. Furthermore, this falsification led to another crime which is money laundering since the money came from a criminal act which is cyber theft and made its way to RCBC. I understand the money was remitted to a remittance company so that it will be converted to pesos and allegedly delivered to casino junket operators.

The BM is definitely guilty, along with other high ranking officials of the bank. Also part of this are some officials of the casino and maybe the junket operator.
