photographer
double bladed yan kaibigan...dahil kung maganda at di pigil ang laro niya dito sa pilipinas, makikita siya ng nba scouts. maaari siyang kunin sa nba. whereas if he doesn't work his butts out and just plays lackadaisical, avoiding injuries, he might just as well kiss his nba aspirations goodbye. just my take on this issue. Tama. Just like sa ating D-league. Agent_mulder
Teamwork! Ball movement! This is what you get if there is no ballhog of an import. In Rodgers, the offense starts and ends with him. And the energy...it was a different ginebra squad that played tonight. Ginanahan yata nung nawala yung import na swapang. Powell? I believe may ilalabas pa...considering he just arrived yesterday. Let's see the next game against Alaska. Nice squeaker of a win by bgk. Late na pero comment ko, but still here it goes. Definitely mas ganado ang mga players base sa nakita ko noong laro nila against meralco, 'yung local contributions vital 'yun, ke Rodgers kasi pag hawak na ang bola sa opensa nila tira! i agree.. except for the import part...i think nag iingat mainjure Ginebra game-hero Chris Ellis deflects credit to 'all business' Josh PowellFrom: Richard DyApril 2, 2014, 11:04 pmhttp://contents.spin.ph/image/chrisellismeralco.jpgGinebra sophomore Chris Ellis says new import Josh Powell was a steadying presence on the court and a good influence inside the locker room. Jerome AscanoWHILE he struck the dagger at the heart of Meralco with two crucial three-point shots in the final minute, Chris Ellis credited new Barangay Ginebra import Josh Powell for being the steady defensive force against the Bolts. The 6-foot-4 Ellis erupted for 14 of his 16 points in the final period, but the high-leaping forward said he couldn't have done that without Powell, who made sure the Gin Kings got the stops on the defensive end, which gave him the chance to run the open floor. The high-flying sophomore said the former Los Angeles Laker was a steadying presence on the court and a good influence inside the locker room. "Josh Powell is very soft-spoken, but he's all business," said Ellis after the 88-78 win over Meralco. "He just brings more focus, seriousness and urgency to the team because nobody's joking around in the locker room. Everybody's just talking about the game, everybody's aggressive mentally." Ellis said the former Los Angeles Laker Powell's vast NBA experience was something that rubbed off on every Gin King from the opening tip off. "You could just feel his experience on the court. Once you get the big men talking and the guards communicating with the big men, that starts something," noted 'Air Force Ellis.' The 25-year-old Ellis said he's just happy to finally see his team execute well on offense, something the team failed to do during its first six games with Leon Rodgers. "We've been practicing like crazy moving the ball, getting assists, getting the men open, proper screening, proper movement, proper spacing. Just anything to get the wide-open shots, just trying to stay aggressive," said the No. 6 overall pick in the 2012 PBA rookie draft. Ellis is confident that the 10-point victory over the Bolts can give the Gin Kings the momentum heading to their last two games as they try to make a strong push for the playoffs. "We just have to keep communicating on offense and defense and then limiting our turnovers in the next games." Still ang laki ng improvement sa laro ni Ellis, kung noon nakilala s'ya sa 'yung slam dunking prowess n'ya, ngayon pati sa shooting na din lalo na sa treys mukha ngang pigil ang laro ni powell...either di pa sanay dahil kadarating lang or nag-iingat nga na di ma-injure. pero palagay ko may ilalabas pa. we will know next game against alaska. this would be another acid test not only for powell but also for the whole team. basta teamwork lang at bigay todo ang laro, ginebra will be able to enter the next phase. Its a game, may rules, may stranger-teammates, may hindi maintindihang coaching staff. Ma p pressure yan sa chants ng crowd in his team's favor. By that time, he might have blended na sa plays ng Ginebra. Hindi muna ako mag hahaka haka. Also, sa uanng araw, mas gusto ko na ang galaw niya as compared kay Rodgers.

junix
when is the next game? it is with alaska no? hopefully they win...this coming sunday chief...apr 13. yes against alaska. ginebra will be in for a tough fight considering that alaska is on a 3 game winning streak. but if we'll be able to see the same ginebra that downed meralco, lots of ball movement, help defense and full of energy, ginebra will be in good position to get win #4. Kazekage.Gaara
Powell might be affected by jet lag, who knows? With one week of rest and practice we should see him play his true game against the defending champs. And a Good payback too if they beat Alaska. Quote Link to comment

numina
di ko masisi ang management for bringing what they thought was a a-lister of an import.. heck they spent money on that guy... pero sana they should have learned their lesson... 2nd time na to na they brought in a guy na maganda ang NBA experience only to fail their fan base... na miss ko tuloy yung dating agent ng gins na si sam unera.... i think he brought in hacket, briggs, matthews, cole, davis, ward, waller etc... baka daw i tap ng ginebra yung import na tinitingnan nila for the 3rd conference.... emett ba yun? di ba pwedeng i tap nila si dollard tutal wala na ang barako bull?... parang loaned import tulad nung ginawa nila ke chambers at parks nung me min-tourney ang pba... Quote Link to comment
game_boy
talo na naman. back to the original observation and recommendation: palitan ang import, palitan ang coaching staff, i-trade si urbiztondo at pati si robert non palitan na din. Quote Link to comment
