Agent_mulder
The slam dunk competition will be divided into imports and locals. Ah ok thanks for the info, well, I think na ang magiging mahigpit na kalaban nya among the imports is Anthony Johnson ng slr as this guy can also leap at daming mga dunks nito na nasali sa top ten plays ng PBA. Also, nagkaroon yata bigla ng slam dunk among the imports samantalang dati wala naman, baka napanood ni barrios o ng mga alipores n'ya yung mga dunks ni Noel sa NCAA slam dunk competition hehe.. Richmond
I remember the days when the IBA all stars used to grace the All Star games wherein Sean Chambers upset the Black Superman in the slam dunk competition. Quote Link to comment
howarddeduct
Quote Link to comment

What's IBA? Wow! that's one big upset! Quote Link to comment
Richmond
It is a basketball league in the States wherein former PBA imports like Sean Chambers and Ray Hall once played, the last tour of duty of Bates I think it was in the early 90's a young Sean Chambers beat him in the slam dunk contest. What's IBA? Wow! that's one big upset! Quote Link to comment

Agent_mulder
Noong '94 o '95 yata, 'yung import ng Ginebra named Alex Coles dunked over 4 or 5 people (mga cheerleaders/dancers ng PBA at kasama si Noli Locsin doon sa 4 o 5 tao), nanonood pa nga si for LA Laker player Michael Cooper noon who seems awed at what he saw, 'di lang ako sure kung All-Star Weekend din 'yun. Quote Link to comment
tongkumon
The guy is Jervis Cole he is also one of the great imports recruited by Ginebra. Quote Link to comment
[TWO]RERO
With the addition of Baguio, Se and Aban sa line-up ng Ginebra, they ought to put Escalona at Kramer sa injured and/or reserved list o kaya trade na lang nila ang 2 ito baka magamit pa ng ibang team/s.. wala si Aban sa Ginebra.. nasa BK kapalit ni Celino. Escalona and Cabatu are now free agents. Quote Link to comment
orionpax
And it is also in this IBA -PBA Challenge that Ginebra got one of its crowns as the only local team to win such (the IBA selection has dominated the annual event then ) Ginebra's reinforcement then was Wes Matthews Matthews, Rudy Distrito & DonDon Ampalayo wreaked havoc then confused the visiting IBA selection It is a basketball league in the States wherein former PBA imports like Sean Chambers and Ray Hall once played, the last tour of duty of Bates I think it was in the early 90's a young Sean Chambers beat him in the slam dunk contest. Agent_mulder
The guy is Jervis Cole he is also one of the great imports recruited by Ginebra. Bro si Jervis Cole ang import ng Ginebra noong manalo sila ng championship against shell (w/ is reinforced by bobby parks) noong 1992, while si Alex Coles naman import nila noong '94 o '95 yata at naka-isa o dalawang laro lang yata para sa Ginebra. Saka wala pa si Noli Locsin sa Ginebra noong '92, like I said tinalunan ni Alex Coles si Locsin along with 3 or 4 cheerleaders/dancers.... wala si Aban sa Ginebra.. nasa BK kapalit ni Celino. Escalona and Cabatu are now free agents. Edited April 26, 2009 by Agent_mulder Quote Link to comment
