Eto namang si Jong, how could he issue such a statement like that when he knew that the players are coming off a physically tiring and emotionally draining series with tnt, whereas alaska is well-rested and had also done a good job in scouting them..

"MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has fined Talk ‘N Text over P1 million for walking out during their Game 4 quarterfinal match with Barangay Ginebra last week.

 

PBA commissioner Sonny Barrios said that aside from the forfeiture of Game 4 in favor of the Gin Kings, the league has levied a P500,000 fine on the Tropang Texters, the amount of which shall be paid to Ginebra under section 32 of the PBA constitution and by-laws.

Yeah buti nga. Dapat lang sa kanila yan. Akala nila ok lang na mag walk out basta basta ha. Bayad kau ngaun!

Kung tutuusin, maliit pa yung 1M na fine against Añejo Rhum nung 90's.

 

 

 

Game 1 is a blowout game for alaska. the final score is alaska 160 - bgk 60. Miller scored 150 and LA added 10. kevin white score 60 for ginebra. JC did not play due to migraine.

 

Game 2 is a close game but ginebra could not sustained the pressure as it goes to triple overtime. The final score is alaska 88 bgk 87. JJ miss both the two crucial free throws of the last .3 of a seconds.

 

Game 3 is a very physical game. Tubid was brutally slapped on the face by sonny thoss but no foul was called. Ginebra decided to walk out with just 30 seconds being played in the game. Final score is alaska 3 - bgk 0.

 

Game 4 is another down the wire game but for the most part of the game it seemed ginebra will lose but they came back from a 60 point deficit. caguioa is the best player of the game as he scored a career high 120 points. JC also get a new a career high of 80 points while JJ assist is a whooping 100. final score is bgk 200 - alaska 50 (all for LA)

 

Game 5 went to 8th overtime but ginebra won the game thanks to hail mary shot of rich alvarez on the last 2 seconds of the 8th overtime. final score is bgk 160 - alaska 159.

 

Game 6 is another walk out incident this time alaska did it because of a flagrant penalty 2 slapped on sonny thoss and la tenorio for accidentally or intentionally elbowing kevin white. score is bgk 2 - alaska 0.

 

Game 7 goes to ginebra. final score bgk 113 - alaska 100

Sadly to say that JJ is too much dribbling! Hindi naman nakakadagdag sa score ang sobrang arte ng dribbling, naasar ako kanina nung 4th quarter dahil sa sobrang dribbling nya. And at the same time kapag nasa kanya na yung bola, tumatagal lalo, ni hindi man lang siya mag-initiate ng ball rotation.

Let us accept the fact that we lacked the manpower to mix it up inside the paint and the transition defense of Alaska is really impressive. The only way Ginebra could beat them is to run them to the ground and red hot 3 point shooting but how can you do that if you can't rebound.

Ginebra is in trouble being down 0-2, esp. with Menk and Cruz sidelined with their injuries. Maaring hindi kasing-lakas ng tnt ang alaska man-for-man pero well-disciplined ang alaska as compared to tnt. Kung kelan kailangan nila ng scoring mula kay Intal saka 'di naman makagawa si Intal sa tindi din ng depensa ng alaska defender sa kanya. Medyo maganda ang laro nila kagabi pero tira ng tira ng 3 instead of taking it strong inside, medyo kinulang lang at bad decisions noong end game proved costly for them, hopefully makabawi sila bukas or else they can kiss their aspiration for a championship appearance goodbye. COME ON GINEBRA WAKE-UP!

Kaya nga mas ok pa noong sidelined si Helterbrand as Celino Cruz showed that he along with White can quarterback for Ginebra, saka kung ako kay Jong gamitin ko si Johnny A. dahil kung merong may nakaka-alam sa laro ng alaska it is Johnny A.

Just this simple, give another players a chance to feel the pressure. Am Ginebra fan since birth, all i can say to Jong do not push your key players who are are not 100% physically fit. thats it.

Para naman kasing boring yung games 1 and 2, parang kulang ng intensity. Dominated by Alaska from start to finish.

For me, one of the sweetest championships Ginebra won was in 1997 when Noli Locsin, Marlou Aquino and Bal David led Ginebra to a 4-2 series victory over the Aces.
