Edmund Dantes
Its all in the mindset lang naman yan. Besides, can you not enjoy an ocassion na kasama mo ibang kaibigan at pamilya? O kahit ikaw lang solo. May iba nga dyan ine-enjoy ang pasko kahit sila lang magisa. I guess the point I am trying to make is that, single people should learn to have a good relationship with themselves. Dapat kaya mo maging masaya kahit di ka umaasa sa iba. I mean, go shopping, buy yourself nice things, magspa ka. Mas maganda nga minsan na ikaw lang solo gumawa nito sa sarili mo, kasi everything is on your terms and not on anybody elses. direstraits94
Way back my college days I asked my girlfriend to go out on Vday and her answer was no, to her Vday is corny kaya from there on I never ask her anymore even If she's my wife now, we never celebrate it Quote Link to comment
99PercentCaffeine
There are basically two types of people who hate this Hallmark Holiday: Those who are not part of a couple (which apparently is now a requisite to being happy and feeling content), and those who are in a relationship that provides neither sexual fulfillment nor satisfactory companionship. Either way, there is always the feeling of resentment towards other people or even oneself. The notion that Valentine's Day is intended for the enjoyment of those in a relationship is self-defeating and, ultimately, foolish. I agree, in addition, its also showing lack of emotional independence. Many take this for granted. Basta special occasion it always has to be a requisite na you need someone special to celebrate it with. Laging nakadepende sa ibang tao yung happiness. Pag walang special someone, minsan dadaanin sa self-pitty which is the most foolish thing one can do. Para sakin, to survive the valentines blues dahil wala kang special someone, you can do two things. 1. live like its just another date in the calendar. Heck its not even a non-working holiday. 2. You can choose to celebrate it by pampering yourself. Eitherway you can't resort to bitterness and self-pitty. Quote Link to comment
cyberchanch
I do not hate it, but it is a regular day for me and my wife. Better to go out at any other time with less people around. Quote Link to comment
raizel2nd
Hassle and inconvenient. You can celebrate something special on any day, any time. No need to follow certain "special" dates for something special. Edited February 9, 2015 by raizel2nd Quote Link to comment

Instant cure for the incessant need or longing to be with someone special.... and also, stay away from your phone or FB to avoid any drunk dialing/pm'ing your lovelorn bitterness to anyone by mistake. BRAIN FOR HIRE
commercial pressure to be "in a relationship" and/or "happy". But its useful for showing someone that you care by taking extra effort to show it. Also useful for the more youthful mindset. Quote Link to comment

chessboxin
May mga taong depressed na depressed na single sila pag valentines day, pero for the rest of the year wala namang ginagawa to get a date. Pag niyayaya lumabas ng tao, ayaw. Maarte sa lakad. Gusto lagi nasa comfort zone niya. May konting ayaw lang sa tao, nilalayuan na. Tinutulungan mo na with advice on what to improve on para magka date, resistant pa sa change. E wala na tayong magagawa diyan. Edited February 15, 2015 by kannon 1 Quote Link to comment
