Biggest Lies Ever...

Recommended Posts

as nippy has put it, rules are set of guidelines, somewhat defines boundaries. and these rules are not there to be broken, people bend the rules on various grounds.

promises on the other hand is an assurance of a commitment, keep it as much as you can, else, lots of explanations, alibi, peace offerings, etc., are expected. and oh, there's this thing called "hurt".

RULES & PROMISES...ahhh ...so much have been said about it... Definitely, rules are not meant to be broken, otherwise if it is meant to be broken, then we do not need rules and that will be anarchy. It became so "meant to be broken" because we always wanted the easier way & usually breaking rules is the easier way...the reason why we break it. While rules are set to be used as guideline & norms, breaking them is really incumbent about the person. Because these rules are not meant to be broken but meant to provide order & standard and breaking them is our decision but not the norm.

Promises are actually assurances. However, in uncontrollable situation, they are usually unfulfilled. In some instances, promises become rhetoric when people used it for personal gain or to get "pogi points". Nevertheless, promises should be anchored on commitment & word of honor. It is something that is not just given for the sake of comforting the other party but a fufillment that puts to a test your credibility & integrity and a manifestation of your decisiveness.

Rules & Promises are therefore not meant to be broken but meant to do better. It is incumbent upon us if we break it of honor it, else you will be judged...

I agree wid Cruesome & Big D. Rules and promises are NOT to be broken. Supposedly.. but a lot have forgotten that rules and promises are made to be followed or done. People who break them just don't understand the importance of rules and promises. Rules are made to be followed because they are outlined for something specific and its just about respecting that. Promises are made, most of the time, to the ones we love or who are important to us. If we promise something, we should do it because a promise is a non-written agreement but, a tie of heart and trust therefore we shouldn't break it... we don't want to hurt the ones who are important to us or the one we love, do we..
