^ Bret Hart was supposed to win the title. However, Hogan, since at that time he was really booking every imaginable main event, eventually convinced McMahon that Bret is not yet ready to win it. He then "came up with an idea" that eventually became the storyline of that Wrestlemania.

That's why until now, Bret Hart hates Hogan's guts...

Thanks for that clubber... personally I've always been a Bret Hart diehard. And even before this I was rooting for Shawn Michaels when he super-kicked the living daylights out of Hogan.

Funny thing, my top two fave wrestlers are The Excellence of Execution and the Heartbreak Kid. Then there's The Undertaker and The Rock. I'm hoping that HBK and Taker get the belts. And Rock on the tron? Oh yeah! What's he plugging? Hahahaha! What's Austin's movie btw?

What a treat if....

The Rock shows up just after The Rattlesnake stunners a bald VKM and bottoms out The Donald. Hahaha!

Smackdown Spoilers for March 16th

*Mike the Miz opened with MizTV. His guest was WWE World champion Batista. The light went off at some point, as if Undertaker was playing mental games with Batista. Batista killed Miz with a BatistaBomb out of frustration.

*Matt Hardy defeated Ken Kennedy.

*They announced Undertaker vs. King Booker for later tonight.

*Ken Kennedy did a backstage promo saying that it didn't matter that he lost because he would win the Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania 23.

*MVP pinned a masked wrestler. MVP gets on the mic and talks about how great he is. He challenges Chris Benoit to wrestle him at Wrestlemania 23. Teddy Long comes out and tells MVP to meet his opponent. Benoit hits the ring and they brawl.

*In a backstage segment, Finlay runs into King Booker and Sharmell while he's looking for Hornswoggle. They note that they are opponents at Wrestlemania 23. Booker asked for advice on fighting Undertaker tonight and Finlay said to run. Booker and Finlay leave but Sharmell hears a noise and it's Hornswoggle behind a door. He tells her to kiss him, he's Irish (remember this airs on St. Patrick's Day eve) and she runs off screaming. He drinks from a pitcher of beer.

*Undertaker defeated King Booker via DQ after Finlay interfered. Batista did commentary at ringside. Undertaker ends up tossing Finlay outside onto Batista. Taker chokeslams Booker in the ring.

*MNM & WWE Womens champion Melina defeated WWE Tag Team champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick & Ashley. Ashley and Melina got into a catfight after the bout.

*Kane vs. Daivari ended in a no contest when Kane dragged Daivari to the back with his "See No Evil" hook. He told Daivari to send this message to The Great Khali.

That appears to be it for Smackdown as they are changing the ring. Michael Cole and JBL argued as the change was taking place, mentioning JBL was wrestling Shawn Michaels on Monday.

I remember that time as well, Hogan wrestled earlier in a tag-team championship match against Money, Inc. with Brutus Beefcake as his partner, then he came back out at the conclusion of the main event. Hogan managed to get the belt in his hands at the end of the pay-per-view but as Bret said, he didn't last as he eventually lost the title back to Yokozuna in the next pay-per-view King of the Ring, where Bret also won the KOTR tournament. A new breed of wrestlers was on the rise at the time and a new generation was dawning, with Bret at the forefront, eventually beating Yokozuna for the World title at the next WrestleMania!

One of the first managers in the WWE that I ever saw during my introduction to the program...

Many champions to his credit. Plus, he caused a lot of distraction (Bret Hart in Wrestlemania IX?)...

One of the first images I had of Mr. Fuji was him battling the tag-team of Tony Garea and Rick Martel with partner Mr. Saito, he was already throwing salt in opponent's faces at the time. He was one of the great managers in the WWF during the kayfabe era of the mid-80's to early-90's, I remember him most for managing the powerhouse teams of Demolition and Powers of Pain. He's a great addition to this year's batch of Hall of Famers.
