Because of this, many are upset because Edge was doing well as the champion. Scotty 2 Hotty, who is still under contract with the WWE, has been spotted backstage at the TNA iMPACT tapings. Bret Hart revealed that when he was first offered the “Hitman” gimmick, Vince McMahon wanted him to dress up like a mobster in pinstripes. Hart wisely refused. Jim Ross’ contract will expire this fall, and WWE has sent him a new contract. It is unknown if he’ll re-sign with the company or not. Shawn Michaels travels alone and no longer has a strong connection with his fellow wrestlers. It is said that he is still upset over the way he was treated for his booking against Hulk Hogan at Summerslam. Jeff Jarrett met up with Bret Hart in the UK and he was optimistic that Hart would join TNA. Scott D’Amore and Jeremy Borash, who are good friends of Hart, think otherwise. WWE employees are divided over CM Punk. Many think that he is ready for some major TV space, while others, especially Stephanie McMahon, don’t feel the same way. Rumor has it that the WWE approached the Guerrero family about Rey Mysterio dedicating his performance at the Royal Rumble to Eddie, and that heels would be badmouthing Eddie. While it is believed that his family was not thrilled about the idea, there is no indication that they were upset either.Regarding the same matter, Andrew Martin, formerly known as Test, attacked the WWE over his website regarding name-dropping Eddie Guerrero’s name in their storylines. HHH believes that John Cena lost the crowd’s support over Kurt Angle’s failure to portray an effective heel. Rumor has it that the WWE spliced a footage from a previous event involving the Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin and inserted it in the Royal Rumble PPV when Cena won the title. This was used because the WWE was disappointed that the crowd didn’t cheer as loud as they wanted when Cena won. When Joey Styles went backstage after the Royal Rumble PPV, rumor has it that Vince McMahon grabbed him and gave him another tongue lashing over his color commentary style. It is said that McMahon doesn’t like the way Styles emphasizes wrestling moves instead of the storylines. The person playing Shelton Benjamin’s mother on-air has an internal injury that needs to be attended to, which was why the WWE came up with the heart attack angle to get her off the air. In his website, the Ultimate Warrior said that he didn’t like the internet. He also mentioned that he watched the DVD that the WWE produced about him. Obviously he wasn’t happy with it, so he instructed his lawyer to slap the WWE with a lawsuit. He also has another pending lawsuit against video game makers THQ for “stealing” his intellectual property. He also went on a rampage against his ex-wife on the site. Hulk Hogan was spotted at the recently concluded Grammy awards. Rumor has it that he was looking for a recording company that would sign up his daughter Brooke. In a recent interview, Shawn Michaels was asked about the 1997 Montreal screw job. Michaels said that he has already apologized, but if the circumstances were the same, he’d do it again. Bret Hart will be inducted in the WWE Hall Of Fame this year, making him, along with Eddie Guerrero, the star inductees in the ceremony. It is unknown who will induct him.In a related matter, TNA heard that there were plans for Hart to be inducted, so they set up a meeting between him and Jeff Jarrett in Calgary. TNA had intentions to make a deal with Hart big enough for him not to get involved in the induction. However, due to a family emergency, Jarrett couldn’t attend the meeting. If Jarrett was able to attend, things could have been different. “Cowboy” Bob Orton had hepatitis when he was a teenager and had actually forgotten about it because that was 35 years ago. He was sick for 2 weeks and never thought about it again. Seems like Randy didn’t know about it also.Bob was recently tested by a WWE doctor, who is a friend of the Undertaker, and was alarmed when he was bleeding all over him at the Hell In The Cell match at Armageddon. He then got another test and was told that he was fine.Undertaker was furious at Johnny “Ace” Laurinaitis, who knew of the results but didn’t tell him. Ace had to go to a house show and talk things out with an obviously pissed Undertaker.These events are likely the reason why Bob Orton was released from the company. Stacy Keibler tried out for a James Bond movie, but she couldn’t do the British accent.
