Saang area ka po ba maam tsaka anong prefer mong schedule? Marami akong friends from the running community na nakatira sa iba't ibang lugar kaya puede kita ipa-guide sa mga running clinics nila.

late afternoon sana or early morning. but I know, work schedule conflict if weekdays. so weekends?

You can start by walking short distances muna, then gradually build up. That's how most of us started out. A walk to the nearby sari-sari store soon became a walk around the block. After a while, we find ourselves moving faster, from a walking pace to jogging, then running. Then the distance gradually increases. Just like what Forest Gump did. :-)

did this actually. I never thought it was possible. jogging/running can be addictive ;) and a lifesaver.

I usually go around the village din.

 

pero ano kaya to. it feels a bit tight these days. parang cramps na ewan. can't finish my regular route..

Are you doing it daily? The body needs to rest and recover also. usually, a day of rest between runs should be enough for the muscles to recover, specially when you're just getting into running.

awwwww.. this is sad news.. nde talaga biro ang 42k. you need to condition your body and mind for the event

RIP dun sa runner :(

May namatay daw sa nat geo 42k event kahapon. Wag muna sasabak sa marathon kung walang proper training. RIP sa kanya.

Weather was not friendly last nat geo run. Isang factor yun n maaaring reason ng nangyati sa kanya. They also mentioned na he's almost at the finish line.

 

Kaya yung skyway lang ang tatakbuhan ko na marathon. Kahit summer season basta 12am ang start, di masyado mainit yun. Syempre as ppdd says condition your mind and body.

Sir Fernando Torres died of cardiac arrhythmia. Hindi ko sure kung factor talaga ang init. Why? Kasi ilang beses ko nakasama sa mga ultramarathon si sir Fernando. Ilang 100kms+ na rin ang natapos nya so definitely heat training is part of his training/routine. Sabi nung isang tumulong sa kanya, more than 30 minutes bago nakarating yung ambulance. Kaya nakakainis na palpak talaga tong si Rio pagdating sa medical support. Puro spray lang ng efficascent ang alam ng medical team nya. Take note, yung namatay nung Condura Skyway Marathon last year eh si Rio din ang organizer.

may mga teams po na nagco-conduct ng training sa gabi during weekdays. Meron sa Marikina Sports Complex, UP, Ultra, Crame, ATC (Alabang Town Center), CCP, Luneta, Ayala Triangle, BGC. Hindi po puro run yan, yung iba core training, dynamic stretching, ladder exercises, etc. Kapag weekends, normally kasi dedicated yun sa mga LSD. Pero meron din naman mga short distances.

well, to be fair naman to runrio, majority naman ng runs nila, ok naman sila mag organize. sobra mahal na nga lang talaga ng singil nila ngayon

i think the other organizers should step up and keep the prices low

nakaka yamot kasi yung iba organizers na mataas na nga maningil, olats pa yung events.. hay

(buti na lang din siguro at injured pa ako, tigil muna sa mga takbo)

 

Naging negosyo na talaga ang runrio trilogy. Hehe.

 

Yup. Kaya dapat i-boycott si kulot

Naalala ko yung first Century Tuna Run nila sa BGC. Maiinis ka sa mga marshals sa pagdirect nila ng directions. Si Derek Ramsey nga should have done 5K lang, naligaw lang kaya tinuloy na ng 10K. Which is hindi maayos magdirect nga ang mga marshal nila. Kami muntik na din eh.

Try nyo mag-level up. Sarap mag-ultra sa mga probinsya. Two in one kasi nakatakbo ka na, nakagala ka pa

this was included in my plans (pati trail running) before i got injured.. :(

 

950php na yung registration sa 42k milo marathon. Laki ng tinaas pero sasali pa rin ako. Start na ng training guys.

well, mura pa din naman sya compared sa iba nagpapatakbo ng full marathon.. goodluck! ^___^
