wyette
Congrats on your run, Wyette! Sub-6!I was not aiming for sub 6 pero honestly, I felt stronger than any of my past runs yesterday sa first 10kms. Hahaha Thank God! Congrats rin Sir! Wala nang hintayan sa finish line. Nasundo agad ako ng dad ko at bumiyahe na to bicol eh. congrats to all finishers! bilis ni wyette grabe unofficial time ko:7hrs 11mins kala ko masweep na ako hahaCongratulations rin! At least, di ka nagpa revive sakin! Kumusta naman ang After run massage? :P ============== As I said, I felt strong yesterday. Kahit super init na at 6:30am pa lang. I was all set for a "rainy/wet" run actually. I had plasters on my toes kasi last run ko na maulan, muntikan na akong mag blisters. I had to slow down and nag gutter muna ako. Then I walked. Pero di ko sya maiapak. Sabi ko, di pwede magpa DNF. Di ako napapagod. First time ko ma injure if ever. I walked lang for about 400 meters. I aimed for at least 15 mins less than my first full mary 8 months ago.. My first full marathon at the Condura last February took me 6:57 hours official time. And yesterday unofficially, my run took me 6:05 hours only. Di man nag sub 6 unofficially, still happy ako sa result. To think, very minimal ang training mileage ko. Ayan, nagyabang na ako. On runner's high pa e. Ubusan ng sponge sa last 5kms. Good thing di ako nagtatapon ng sponges ko. kaso yung last soak ko, parang ang dumi na ng tubig. Tapos ang daming nag stopover sa water stations na di naman runners - like mga cyclists, and yung group of students na nag fun run rin ata. Naguluhan ako sa route after at nainitan masyado. Anyway, napa kwento lang ako. Wala ako makakwentuhan eh. I ran alone kasi yesterday. My running buddies from here in Bicol did not run. Quote Link to comment

Buti I had my blinkers. Pati ibang runners nagpasalamat sa ilaw ko. Again, congratulations sir! San na next run natin?! Wala pa ako scheduled run eh. Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
Congrats to all of you!!!! I may missed the run last sunday, pero may tumakbo para sa bib ko... ayn, binigyan ako ng 2:19 sa record ko for 21km... hahahaI don't deserve that record, but I guess that is my goal now. Next run? Nike!!!!! and probably the Greentennial run on Halloween. then practise na para sa Marathon debut sa Condura 2014. Quote Link to comment

floppydrive
Race results are out! http://runrio.com/2013/10/2013-run-united-3-philippine-marathon-results/ Grabe! 2724 marathoners, 4459 half marathoners and 2953 10k finishers! Congrats to all finishers, specially to our latest marathoner ppdd! Well done, bossing! TheRAPIST consultation time na ba? @spirit, challenging yung goal time na yan! Race report: The race was well managed! Plenty of drinking stations spaced every 2km and they didn't run out of water. Some had bananas and sponges. Bonus was the introductory sampling of Unilab's latest product, the Active Health Gel given at the MOA Arena area. Drawback was that some runners thought it was liniment ("Gel" daw, eh) and started applying it on their legs. "Malagkit" daw. hehehe. It tasted good and had a thinner, syrupy consistency making it easier to take compared to the more viscous gels available. The KM markers were good. Lots of photographers, specially for the 42k runners. New to the event was the archway entry for marathoners who were directed from the finish line to the events area and given freebees and individual finisher photos as they entered the archway. At the events area, another first was the announcers were calling out who were arriving at the finish line. Lots of activities were available - a massage area, product displays and well organized booths giving away loot bags, finisher shirts and slippers for the marathoners, and loot bags for the 21k and 10k runners. Only drawback I could see was the road condition along Macapagal blvd. Some asphalt sections are worn down and cracked and need to be repaired. If left as is, it will be in worse condition for the Milo finals in December. The weather was cool during the night and early morning, but the sun was bearing down on the runners as early as 6:30/7:00. The heat took a toll on plenty of runners. Good thing there was an abundant supply of sponges and cold water that helped cool down the runners. Overall it was a great event! Next up: NB Power Run! Quote Link to comment
