Droidz1979
Had my usual morning run to Antipolo today and was thinking of writing a piece on how I ended up running to the uphill climb of Sumulong High-way. Sadly, now would not be that day since am kinda pressed for time with all the other chores that needs to be done within the day. I know I have the concept and story-line in mind, I just need that extra time I guess I could also squeeze in some tips on how to do it while starting relatively late (guilty as charged I know hehe) in the morning. Borrowed a runner magazine (local) from an office-mate whom I used to handle or was then a territory manager in my area, she used to be a collegiate varsity specializing on mid-distance track and field and I must say that its an enjoyable read. However, if I could read one for free simply by borrowing since she has a free monthly copy based on previous connections, then i'd gladly take one that is free of cost The good thing about it is that it has some cool and inspirational run quotes and gives you tips about the scientific way or approach about running as well as the experience of how real and established runners do it their way. Enjoy the unusually sunny Sunday guys! Edited July 1, 2012 by Droidz1979 Quote Link to comment

TIA Simply replace the sun/heat with being soaked/wet and cold.. i guess that's about it.. Personally, I prefer running in the rain on an actual run since you don't get to worry about dehydration that much. Somehow you have to take into consideration a decent changing room afterwards and you won't be changing the "shirt" only Quote Link to comment
Droidz1979
Because of the bad weather the past week I was kinda pessimistic that i'd be able to make my usual weekend run today so I opted to dust off my badminton racquet and play the game again last Friday courtesy of the court that barely anybody plays during Fridays in our main office. Its a good 15-minute travel time but its somewhat relatively closer going home. As usual my skill-set barely had any improvement while the guys that I used to kick-ass back then were returning the favor. But back to my morning run, thankfully it did not rain early this morning and irregardless if I started it late again or shall I say way late than usual at 7:45AM since I was thinking that it might rain any moment since the weather was both cloudy and gloomy, I was still able to bodily force myself to get into my routine. Good thing it did not rain at all for the rest of my run and the sun barely peaked in between. The best part probably of the run was when the wind blew by while on an uphill climb along Embassy drive/street (?) at Blue Mountain resort. The place still has lots of greens and barely had houses on it and I could savor any silver lining out there knowing the fact that years from now I might not get to savor the moment provided that it could be full of residential houses by then. Fingers crossed I hope that it won't be the case though. Guess i'll share my quote for the week then : Quote Link to comment
