docjuwe
1. I am not sure how you tested/arrived at the 1.5kb/sec. Such delays may be attributed to the SERVERand some point in the path from you PC to that server.Meaning even if Smart will give you a blast on their link, the delay may have been caused by the SERVERyou are trying to access or somewhere along the path to that server (Not smart) may have been congested2. Indeed... Not to downplay our Tech Support people in the industry .... 2.1 They are not equipped with the right attitude to describe the problem/solution to the customer.2.2 They are trained to describe the problem/solution in words or in writing or both.2.3 perhaps they are not knowledgeable at all 3. Indeed, the glitch hour becomes so routine i will defer my payment until they rectify their problem.Mabuti na umabot sa Legal o sa Presidente ung problema.Anyway my uncle (by affinity) works in Operations Dept in SMART .... kung magkakaganon perhapsi will ask his help.Spasibo spetsnaz.i have netstat live, it gives me "real time" reading of my incoming kbs....and i'm positive it is not the SERVER that's causing this because i tried "bursting" already and i still get the same reading.....one of their "contractors" (when they finally got to me) told me that the antenna wasn't pointed to the nearest cellsite as it should be...asked them if they can fix it since they were here already and it has already taken them such a long time to finally get to me....guess what, i was told that i would have to call it in again and that they came over only to find out what was wrong....my "adventure" continues...with regards to the problem getting to the people at the "top", i'm not sure if they even know what is going on....they are too shielded in their lofty and nice offices, they will not waste their time on an account as small as mine....like i said in my previous post, i am screwed however i look at it....re: relatives working at SMART helping out, i have used that 'avenue" already, tried to pull some strings and tried to cash in on favors from some people in the past....that didn't help also....sorry, i'm not trying to dissuade you from getting this utterly-useless-indifferent-time wasting service, i'm just sharing my experiences....i hope nobody else gets to suffer the way i did Quote Link to comment

In order to share SMART Bro's internet connection, you need to have a router. This is because SMART Bro's base station associates the connection with the connected machine's MAC address. Once it is associated with the router's MAC address, you can then user the router to share the connection. This is not advised though since the current speed of SMART's offering is too low to be shared with more than 2 computers. (this is just my opinion though...) :headsetsmiley: Edited September 9, 2006 by R@v3n Quote Link to comment

R@v3n
ok ba ang smart broadband? natanong lang. masaya na ako sa dsl ko It really depends. For me though, the service works fine for direct downloads since I can use a download accelerator (downloads multiple parts of the file at once...) in order to give me about 43 - 45 KB/s which is what I would expect from a 384 kb/s connection. (please note the difference of KB/s to kb/s...sometimes some users expect 384 kb/s to be equal to 384 KB/s in which case, please do your homework... ) :headsetsmiley: Edited September 10, 2006 by R@v3n Quote Link to comment
