Droidz1979
NY keeps improving. #8 in the East currently. so good chance for the playoffs The competition for the 8th place in the East are the Cavs where Varejao just got injured (again) and the Bucks where Bogut is also out for the rest of the season so the Knicks have a high change of making it in the play-offs even with a .500 record. Guess the real question would be, how deep would they go? To advance further they would not have to target the 8th seed and face either Miami or Chicago, have to go as far as the 6th seed and compete with either Boston, Atlanta, Indiana or Orlando. About J-Lin, Mayweather just made another dumb comment that his fame is due to his race and that it happens a lot to blacks What an insecure and attention-seeking dude this is Quote Link to comment

Droidz1979
Knicks stole another win on the road against the Raptors this time! A late steal by Shump (Iman Shupert) plus a clutch 3 by J-Lin and a good D afterwards sealed the fate of the Raps.. 6-game winning streak baby!!! final score : 90-87Stats for the night :J-Lin 27 points, 2 rebounds, 11 assists (only downer is the 8 TOs)Amare 21 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assistTyson Chandler 13 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blks (5 fouls)Shupert 8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 3 TOs (but shot down Calderon who scored 25 but did most of the damage on the first half) Maybe other teams have figured out J-Lin by collapsing their defense whenever he drives or forcing him to go left but their team just produced another win and the PNR with stat on the second half was a thing of beauty. Wait till Melo comes back and lets see what happens if other teams try to sag out. J-Lin would have more weapons by then. Wow, LINSANE! Quote Link to comment
silver41surfer
Jeremy Lin... The newest Knicks Hero! Carmelo who? Quote Link to comment
SaintPeter5858
Lin did it again for the 6th straight win Quote Link to comment
buwitre1781
I dont care if Melo comes back. Panira lang sa opensa yan. New York should trade him for additional forward and center. This will give the Knicks a deeper rotation. They dont need multi-million superstars who can't deliver. Quote Link to comment
Panther1114
Jeremy Lin does it againdaym the 3pointer parang kutsilyong sinaksak sa dibdib ng mga raptors fans Quote Link to comment
joseph1
Lol. Mayweather is such an attention seeking, over zealous, pompous <bleep> Agreed. His comment was actually wrong. There isn't any other player who scored that many points (109) in 4 consecutive starts. Lin actually passed some pretty big names in that particular stat (AI, Shaq, MJ), so, no, what the undrafted non Division 1 player did does not happen every night. *shrugs* Quote Link to comment

Melo's type of game will be needed especially during the semis where defense steps-up and the level of competition is higher. Chances are you'll not be playing the likes of Wizards, Raptors or the Hornets thus the game would tend to be close and those last minute heroics could come handy. Melo's mid-range game and slashing skills would come very handy for J-lin's slashing and P-N-R game as it would add him a better option/dimension or added weapon. Plus, Melo could not be a liability on the defensive side the way Novak is. Besides, what the Knicks need now are added depth of role players and they do have the mid-level salary to offer unlike other team such as the Clips who could only offer the vet's min. as they've used that to K-Mart already. Jeffries, Walker, Shupert, Fields can only do or sustain the win streak soo much, it wouldn't hurt to have an extra reinforcement with the likes of Melo and Amare. I think the need of the Knicks right now is a serviceable PG, Baron Davis could be it assuming that he'd be healthy enough since Bibby just is way past his prime and couldn't seem to shoot even if his life depends on it right now. An extra big won't hurt although they do have Jerome Jordan who is a 7 footer that has a high tendency to foul but could defend. Quote Link to comment
