Dreaming To Be A Famous Photographer

Aldrich,

Im not too keen on books really. What I usually did while learning the basics was to shoot a certain scene with different settings and compare the images. I had a notebook with me while doing this. Also, try to upload the pictures onto a PC as soon as you possibly can so that you can view in detail the sharpness and tonal quality of the shot. As for articles, you should try the photography tutorials at http://www.good-tutorials.com. Dont rely on all of the tutorials there, nothing beats experimenting by yourself. Cheers.

Here is something I wanna work with hehe. Just need to find a place that sells 5.6V batteries for this baby.

Hey, isn't that a 1973 Yashica? :cool: Great camera! I know of someone with two of those he just acquired several months ago! One had a broken apperture ring (won't close) while the other works perfectly! Regarding the battery, we just made an adaptor for it using commonly available batteries.

linuz,

It's hard to appreciate work like that and dont be surprised to get reactions like that of pnoize. I however, take the time to look at things from various points of view. This thread is basically digital/general photography and doesnt really include abstract or digital art. The shot you posted, is classified under either abstract art or digital art. With the shot you posted, I wish I could comment, I can't really say much as I am not an abstract artist myself, truly sorry.

@floppydrive,

I have the GS sir :) Its circa 1968 hehe. Got it working already and I have a roll of Kodak TMax 400 in it :) Black and White baby!

Ok lang po, ibig sabihin lang e sa susunod kelangan ko kumuha ng mas matinong shoot. Medyo abstract nga, kung ako magi-interpret sa tingin ko para syang cup of coffee and the lights being the smoke. Medyo blurry po kasi di naman makapag focus ng maayos dahil tumatakbo po kami ng around 60.

Anyway salamat po, sa susunod akin na pong pagbubutihan :D.
