I am not a hardcore collector of DVDs.. but I have several titles (pirated and original - even VCDs)..

 

I am currently looking for these titles:

 

1) Sid And Nancy

2) The Metal Years: A Decline Of Western Civilization

3) Sabik - hehehe!!! Kahit VHS lang nito pwede na!!!

I have over 600 DVD collections. about 100 are originals and and the rest are not.

Most of my collections are bootleg (mas magandang pakinggan kesa pirated) copies. Siguro from out of dun sa mga 600+ na tiltles e, 50 lang ang original, most of them ay documentaries pa.

 

Anyway, the bottomline is that a collection is still a collection. What Im after is the title and the quality (most bootlegs are of quality, comparable sa original except for the payment of taxes and royalties). If you have the money to collect originals... then by all means, buy them. If not, then settle for the next best thing.... bootleg copies.

 

Parepareho lang naman sila. Ang mahalaga, napapanood mo kung kelan mo gusto at matagal ang shelf life (VCDs are more prone to corrosion so madaling masira ang media, unlike DVDs).

I respect ur opinion. Pero sa akin naman eh mas preferred ko ang original. May mga pirated din akong cd/dvd pero tulad nung nireplyan mo e di ko masasabing collection yun. Para sa akin matatawag ko sigurong marami akong dvds or cds pero hindi collection, yung mga nakakakita lang ang nagsasabing collection ko yun. May ibang dating kasi kapag collection para sa akin eh. No offense sa mga bumibili ng pirated/bootleg dahil meron din ako nyan (all of them are xxx dvds :evil: ) at isa ako sa naniniwala na dapat mas mababa pa yung presyo ng mga cds/dvds para mamatay ang piracy. Pero di naman perpekto ang mundo. Paminsan minsan bumibili ako ng mga orig dvds pero mas nakafocus ako sa mga audio tracks especially yung mga local kasi ang dalang maglabas ng mga lumang titles (re-release) kapag local. Di tulad ng foreign albums na kahit sampung taon ng lumabas ang album eh makakakita at makakabili ka pa din.

It is very cool! Worth buying. Superman 1 to 4 and Superman Returns plus bonus DVDs for special features.

 

A really good one to add to your collection. :thumbsupsmiley:
