went out the past few weeks in metro manila and checked out fishing stores and fishing sites.and heres what i found to share sa mga di pa alam.

 

Fishing Buddies or Good Catch Store - sa may tapat ng ospital ng maynila - quirino avenue -

nakabili ako ng mid size reel Daiwa - 780 pesos (good buy na to)

:thumbsupsmiley: may sale pa sila complete set na 595 lang ... ganda na at matibay pa.

 

fishing sites i found:

:cool: Marikina Riverbanks - malalaking hito nahuhuli lalo na sa opening canal - mahirap lang kasi bulate ang ipain - hirap maghanap bulate. wonder if ivory soap works as bait - yung home made with stenching garlic and rotten meats

 

:cool: SM Mall of Asia - Admin Building D - sa may tulay - madami rin fishing dun and bulateng dagat naman ipain maganda.

 

Will try to fish out with muh dad maybe at end of the month. medyo busy pa ngayon tinda ng kamatis sa palengke

I recommend Coloong Valenzuela pare, for bangus and tilapia fishing near metro manila. Im sure enjoy erpats mo dyan. Erpats ko, tinutulugan at binabasahan lang ako ng dyaryo e. hehehe.

I want to try this fishing thing... Meron dito sa malapit sa gym where I work out na fishing reel store... hingin ko lang opinion nyo, magkano ba ang decent na fishing reel? And magkano yung estimated na gagastusin ko, all in all... Thanks!

last week been at coolong after the storm.........we thought madaming bangus mahuhuli arrive there at 6 am kami yung una tao doon sa kalawakan area......madami nga after throwing up those feeds nadiyan na kaso biglang nabulabog walang bangus nahuli , tried several times 5 times napatid yung linya dahil sa laki ng isda. So the group deiced to swtich on tilapia, so we end up 50 kilos of tilapia all weight as much as 3 kilos malalaki.....yung umahon na kami saw Kapitan taking his regular nap nagising at nasabi suwerte ninyo ah.......lang laki yung nahuli...........well planning ulit this weekend

last saturday biglang yaya yung friend ko. Upon reaching there before 6 am may tubig na din kaso mababa lang. Since ayuying yung balak ng friend ko sa koolong 2 kami, naka isang kilo kami. Eh yung bangus ayaw kumagat dahil alamang yung pinapapain namin dapt cheesecurls daw. So we shift to tilapia we all end up 60 kilos of tilapia each one weights around 2 kilos. yung iba soli namin kay kap dahil di na kasya yung cooler namin. But enjoy naman kami lahat

brackish cguro bro - kasi malapit lang dagat na: halos mga 3-5 kilometers lang bunganga na ng dagat = tsaka pag natitikman ko tubig maalat nga

 

tagal ko na di nakabalik dyan.di din ako makaalarga ngayon.dami ginagawa project.

 

untouch kasi yang lugar na yan.la gaanong fisherman napapadaan kasi napalibutan ng mga palaisdaan kaya siguro may magandang huli - pero sabi erpats nasa bait daw yun. iba talaga buhay na hipon - attracting sa mga isda kasi madaming kamay kumakaway ... hehehehe :cool:

last saturday been back there at koolong II mataas yung tubig dahil high tide ..........we reach there around 3 pm good catch for some tilapia

Couple of the fish caught on my last trip to Australia - a 16kg Spanish Mackeral, a couple of kilo Coral Trout (Lapulapu) and a Maori Wrasse which you have to throw back cause they are protected - hence you can't weight them.

 

Was a great day's fishing - lotsa mackeral, lots reef fish and lotsa fun.

I started to fish in Lake Caliraya for bass but trawl lang kami. Bwisit lang kasi pag uwi swerte na kung may huli na 1.Then we shifted to salt water fishing . Mas ok kasi dami huli half a cooler ng isda.

By the way , may naka punta na ba sa inyo sa fryle island ( sa may correhidor - tama ba spelling ?). Kasi dati madaming papakol doon. Rent kami ng boat ( 4 to a boat ) pag uwi mga 2 sako ng isda ang uwi namin. Thanks

I usually use 6-10 lbs mainline in coloong but with 12-15lb leaders when targetting bangus. You can go lighter on the tilapia because they don't really fight much. There are no lawe for sale at coloong pero you can buy earthworms for 20/cup. Just be there early morning dahil minsan nauubos din.
