freeman
I agree, tilapia and bangus fishing is just the tip of the iceberg at masasawa ka din at some point. Try saltwater. May mamali fishing din sa Manila Bay. Natry ko na din magnight fishing on a rented banca. Poppers and walk the dog lures ang gamit. Quote Link to comment

Jessieboy
We use to go fishing back when my father is still alive. Its like sort of our sport if u may call it that way. Four times a year when we go its like every quarter to places like Bani Pangasinan, calatagan Batangas and Pagbilao Quezon. Its a big group everytime we go, about 8 persons the least. Among the 3 places i mentioned, pangasinan is the best for me simply because well be fishing in china sea, an open sea where large varieties of fish can be caught. Its a rush everytime u feel a bite on your fishing rod guessing what kind of fish u got. Me thrill kase di mo alam kung ano nahuli mo. I even remember us bringing our baon like pork adobo, beef tapa and some langgonisa para ishare sa mga fisherman doon, in exchange they will bring us freshly caught tanigue, parrot fish, lapulapu and sometimes lobster. Not bad di ba? Maybe they missed so much those foods kase nga puro seafoods lang nakakain nila. Mas ok mag fishing sa dagat kesa sa freshwater, iba talaga lasa ng saltwater fish kesa sa freshwater, lalo na pag fresh, manamis namis kung baga. I missed those days but im planning to visit again when i go back to the phils summer next year. Quote Link to comment

Touching_drip
Nakakatuwa nga mag fishing lalo na pag panay panay ang kagat ng isda. Went out on a 4 person boat last night kaya lang walang huling malalaki bali nibble lang ang ginawa ng maliliit na isda kaya after 2 hours with no such luck we decided to head back to shore. Anyway, dito sa New Zealand may mga restrictions or regulations in place pag nag fishing tulad ng sizes ng isda at numbers allowable for each person or quota ang most popular na isda dito ay snapper (di ko lang alam kung anong tawag dyan sa Pinas) at and legal size ay 27 cm pag under kailangan ibalik mo at allowed lang ng 9 per person a day apart from snapper puede parin mang huli ng ibang uri pa ng isda katulad ng kingfish which is ample if you think about it, kasi medyo malupit ang fines pag nahuli ng fishery officers, you could lose your boat, trailer and vehicle pag nahuli kaya hindi worth na lumabag ng batas.
