i installed quicktime version 7.0 but after re-start the install didn't complete. Tried repair and re-install but couldn't work. even remove the program. so I manually deleted everything.

 

but now my DVD-ROM drive is having error code 31. and my boot takes forever. Can someone refer a good software shop preferably sa south (alabang/paranaque/lp/even taft sa DLSU area)? Thanks!

delete mo lang upper and lower filters sa registry once makapasok ka ng windows.

 

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.

3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

guys help pls. my pc keeps restarting even before Windows XP loads. it goes to the set-up screen and tells me something about having the improper frequency combination and that it should be attuned to the specs of my CPU etc. this is the first time this has happened. nag-install lang yung sister ko ng blue tooth software tapos ganito nalang bigla. hindi ko na ma-load yung desktop coz it just keeps on restarting...help pls...

 

may pinalitan bang setting sa bios? try mo reset sa defaults also check mo ung battery ng mobo baka wala nang charge.

nde yun dude...kse part ng update na na-download mo is yung WGA or Windows Genuine Advantage.. Basically ang gingwa nun eh chinicheck kung genuine yung copy ng windows mo.. Everytime na magddownload ng anythng from Microsoft, it will now check forst kung genuine yung copy mo den pag ndetermine nilang nde eh nde mag push through yung download mo.. There are cracks dat u can download to bypass WGA..not pretty sure kung san website meron ngayon but ill try searching then update ko n lng syo or dito sa boards..

somethings wrong with my laptop, parang nagreformat cya. my files were missing, ung desktop ko iba na.. ang nasave na lang is ung mga naka install na progrms. feeling ko nabura na kasi ung 12gb free space ko, naging 16gb na ngyon huhu

Im having trouble installing XP on a brand new PC. According to windows it won't install on my new system bec. it can't seem to find my HD.

 

The specs of the HD is an 80 gig seagate SATA.

 

Anybody out there who can help me out?

i think you need to press F6 to install the SATA drivers before proceeding to XP installation. Normal steps lang kung nde SATA. HTH

also, may virus ung flashdisk ko. meron cya ung "W32/Rontokbro.gen@MM". ung gngwa nya gumagawa s loob ng folder, ng isang file n kasing nme ng folder (ie. inside CD fodler there's a folder named CD). wla nmn cya ibang effects pero annoying lng. can anyone tell me how to remove this. ung s mga anti-virus , nddtect nya pero hanggnag remove lng. next n gamit ulit ng flshdisk, meron bago ulit.

baka me corrupted files kana... at this point i can suggest two things:

 

1. back up your files and do a clean install

 

2. back up your files and a repair reinstall

Easy enough to do. Had the same problem sa office, with critical files pa. First, back up the files to a linux samba server to "filter" out those annoying folders. More effective than antispyware ang pagtransfer to linux samba. Next, do a windows registry repair. Ayun.. better than any antispyware program. Pagkatapos disable ALL shared folders. That is how the virus got into your system in the first place; it starts at the shared folders

pano po b magback-up ng files. la po ako linux. etong pc n may problem ay luma n rn. pentium 3 pa po to. and ung remaining hard disk space is less than 2gigs nlng.

i found a worm in my computer. i checked my hard disk file and there was a bacabro !!!.txt file. i googled it and found it is a worm. i don't have a anti-virus in this computer. tried to delete it but after restart nandun cya ulit.

 

one thing also i found out, i can't go to those anti-virus sites. am using opera. lload nmn ung website s ibang tab but when i switch to those that involves anti-virus. ngcclose dn ung browser.

just a while ago I have finished downloading nba live 2006 into my computer... Now as i tried to installed it may problema ako pag access sa disc 2 kasi hindi pala in iso or image format yung na download ko na files...

ok lang yung disc one pag install but as the command "please insert disc 2" comes out, i don't know nah what to do

 

how do i convert my downloaded files into an image format? So at least I can load it into a virtual program like alcohol120..

First ... when you power on your PC, hit the Function Key (F1/F8/etc) to go into BIOS SetUp and check whether the BIOS recongnizes your HD. If not, you probably have not yet formatted your HD, and need to change your BIOS settings to boot up from the CD drive and then put in the WinXP Install CD and boot up from there, format your HD and install WinXP.

I think XP does that automatically. Just install the SATA drivers and im very sure your HDD (SATA) will be detected.
