Di ko alam kung naka default setting ba, pero pag mag MTC ako, "restricted website due to adult content" at first kala ko IP restricted lang ng IT namin, pero I can access MTC sa tab and phone ko kahit na connect sa same wifi server.

 

Yung old laptop ko, I can open MTC pa din.

 

Same lenovo thinkpad T450 naman sya.

If it's a company issued laptop it's highly possible that they installed a web filtering software like 'websense'.

Be it the company internet, starbucks wifi, home wifi, or cel hotspot, it will filter any connection you use.

It can be set to block specific categories of websites; like adult content, file sharing, games, video streaming, social networking etc. depending on policy.

 

Or it could be something else.

avoid using proxy or vpn in a company issued laptop.... it may cause ur job....

Kakadagdag ko lang ng additional RAM sa rig ko from 4GB (1x4gb) dinagdagan ko ng 8gb so 4gb + 8gb sticks na siya. kaso nakalagay sa system info ko is 12gb installed tapos 7.94gb usable. via CPU-Z sabi naka single channel ako. 2 lang ram slots ng mobo ko. 12gb nga ba talaga ako? may isang stick ba na hindi na uutilize?

Depende sa budget and kung anong gusto mong gawin.

Kung mga nasa 6k yung budget mo, recommend ko ang Geforce GTX 750 Ti. OK siya in terms of price/performance/power draw (aka sulit).

 

Pero again, malaking factor yung budget and purpose sa pagpili ng video card.

Normal lang naman na less than the total installed yung available na RAM, pero hindi normal yung mawawala yung 4Gb+.

 

Wala naman bearing yung single/dual channel sa total RAM available dapat.

I think probable cause na hindi supported ng motherboard mo ang more than 8Gb? Anong brand/model ng motherboard mo?

Can't really tell what's happening pero here's a way for you to check kung hindi nga ba na-uutilize yung isang RAM stick:

Tanggalin mo muna yung 4GB na RAM and then check kung magbago yung usable RAM mo.

where does it say na usable? System Info o System Properties? Baka Available Physical memory yan? In which case, it is only showing you memory that is available for user-mode applications. 12GB nga ginagamit ng PC mo kung ganun.

 

Punta ka task manager then Performance tab. Ano basa dyan?

Meron kng kelngan adjust sa bios or mali yung pagkakalagay mo ng memory sa motherboard. Check m yung manual ng mobo may recommended way to install ram properly

what's the version of the operating system? baka 32-bit lang so that the additional RAM sticks are not readable.

best to validate it via My Computer - Properties kung nababasa ng OS yung buong RAM.

if nababasa, then at the BIOS level, reset mo sya to defaults and see if it works.

depends on the component. for memory, memtest86. for hard drives, a simple chkdsk or scandisk will do. for processor, CPU-Z, for display drivers and video cards, GPU-Z or FurMark, for PSU wala pang naiimbento, but you can check the voltage usage via hwmonitor or via the CMOS,
