There ought to be a law...

1. That prohibits the use of cellphone inside movie theaters. Or at least REQUIRING phones do be put on silent mode. All violators should immediately be thrown out.

2. That requires the use of silencer in the exhaust pipes of tricylcles before being given a permit to operate.

3. That presribes the sizes of the cabs for tricycles, for ample leg room and head room.

4. That prohbits AFP and PNP chiefs from being appointed to public office after retirement.

on presidents having children run for office there is actually a constitutional ban on political dynasties, but of course our self-serving solons always shoot down a proposal to introduce this into law.

Exactly. Just like Atienza and his half wit son. Have you notice most offspring of politicians are so goddamn abusive and arrogant? Politicians should not be allowed to have children. Bwahahahaha!!!! :upside:

Repeal LIBEL LAW

Every TAXPAYER should be issued a share (like "stocks"proportionate to their taxes) that way they also can reap DIVIDENDS if govt is earning

on a lighter note, a law that requires every able citizen to plant at least ONE TREE

This one is for a friend who just reminded me of a problem he has...poor bastard...

Any woman who is married and gets knocked up by another guy should have to support the baby on her own...no lying to hubby or extorting the guy who planted the seed. I know of at least two guys this happened to since I moved here. It takes two to tango.

A law that will "insure that all laws will be implemented to the letter". :hypocritesmiley:

Oh hell yeah! Remind me to buy you a beer for this one.

It seems nabuhay na kasi tayo sa kultura ng irresponsable demokrasya that sometimes we use it as an excuse to ignore some of the basic laws that in the first place were built to protect us.

Lagi na lang kasing

Alam kong bawal ang jaywalking perooooooooooo................

Alam kong bawal sa sidewalk magtinda kaya lang..........

Nakita ko naman yung stop light talaga eh kasi lang.........

Sheeesh and you wonder kung bakit di tayo umaasenso?

Okay, you are speeding to the hospital because your wife is bleeding to death. Should you have to pull over, provide proof of license, ownership and insurance just blocks from the hospital?

Your sister is getting beaten badly by her drunk boyfreind all of the time. One day, after he had too many, he comes home and smacks her around, rapes and sodomizes her, then demands that she go to the market to get him some food. She gets some rice and fish...tosses in some rat poison and the sorry assh*le dies at the table. Should she be on death row?

I've got plenty more...discretion is key in LE and Judicial proceedings.

There are thousands of these. The problem is with the justice system, not the laws. Think about the idiots who think that Erap should be immediately pardoned. The law states otherwise, but there are plenty of online law degree holders here apparently.

But, for the sake of argument, if every law is obeyed to the letter, there would be no more street protests or rallies without proper permits. Thousands could be rounded up for seditious acts and even more would be ready for the needle.

Discretion is the reason we have judges, because some laws aren't able to be implimented to the letter. Say a man beats his wife, rapes her when she doesn't want to put out and then berates her in front of the neighbors. He does this a few times and immediately after one beating, while he is sleeping off his drunk, she takes a bolo to his skull. Should she be on death row for that act? She killed a sleeping man and the law clearly states that homicide is a death penalty offense (not that the moratorium matters).

A better law for proposal...cameras on street corners and intersections for traffic offenses. The fines generated would supplement the education program. Eventually, people will stop driving like assholes or as if they are on shabu.

While i agree with most of what you posted, you too will be arrested since you are a foreign national acting in behalf of a foreign govt, whose interest may or may not be in the interest of the host country. :)

as for my proposal:

lahat ng mapagsuspetyahan ng gumagawa ng katiwalian sa gobyerno, shoot-to-k*ll na agad.

huwag na patagalin.

sayang oras at baka dumami pa lahi ng mga yan.
