Parehong madaya yun globe and smart, their unlimited text service has a minimum P1 load requirement to use, so you end up spending more to use the unmilited service. sun cellular's offering is much better, the unlimited text is just P150/month. so you really get to save over a whole month. the problem lang is the limited subscribers, but my friends and family are now on sun so it's really worth it for me. i used to spend about P1,000-P1,500 per month in load, now I just spend P300-400/month. big savings to use for gimiks! :D

Yap i agree, Sun is much affordable and walang bitin we used that in our business all my men using suncell kahit tawagan time to time di mabigat before its hard to have signal in SUNCELL but now its easy find even in the province

globe broadband user here fr marikina... nung nagpakabit ako wow ambilis within 48 hours nanjan na ang technical crew... problema sobrang bagal, minsan mas mabilis pa ang prepaid dialup... at pag tumawag ka sa technical support aabutin ka ng 15-30 minutes bago mo makausap ang operator (siguro marami din nagre reklamo like me)... pagpunta ng onsite technical crew, mas marami ka pa alam dun sa technician, parang mga basurero lang na tinuruan magkabit ng internet, hindi masagot ang mga technical questions ko... when i threatened them na kung hindi titino connection nila, papatanggal ko na lang... sagot ba naman sa kin "eh sir, may contract kayo for one year" tama ba yun? would you pay for a service na hindi mo naman nakuha ang binayaran mo? Nung kalikutin ang connection, hindi rin naayos and told me to wait for 48 hours... now that's 48 hours lost sa 2000 per month na bayad ko. ANG MASASABI KO LANG SA GLOBE, MABILIS KAYO SA SINGILAN PERO SA AFTER SALES SUPPORT UBOD KAYO NG BAGAL. VERDICT: DON'T GET GLOBE BROADBAND... YOU'RE BETTER OFF WITH PLDT DSL WHICH HAS NO BAD SERVICE HISTORY WITH MY FRIENDS!

Hello all, I applied for Globe Visibility Plan recently up to know my application is still on process. They have a good deal kasi upto Jan 15, 2007 free yung data card which will set you back aroud 8 k if you buy it. All you need to do is apply for the visibility plan pay 2000 intallation fee and 1 month advance. Visibility plan is 2000 k per month. Sana okey kasi globe is saying that I can get speed up to 1.8 mbps depende na sa location. Half of that okey na ko.

 

I think parang PLDT we roam to which I had before but I did not like it kasi sobrang bagal para ka lang na ka dial up the only thing it had as an advantage is kahit on the road ka meron kang internet. Sabi nung tech support ng globe I will be pleased because tested na nila tong technology na to and before they offered it to the public tested na ito ng mga corporate clients nila. I still have to see this kasi di pa nga connected ang service ko.

 

Just want to know if you guys have this service and kung ano mga problema.

yes. and love it.

 

been using it since last august. it is really great. especially, with the dopod 900 that i have.

 

the data card is also great for surfing the net. although, i wish that they had a better software along with it that could handle mms as well.

 

also i wish that the call and text charges were more in line with G and G Flex plans, so i dont have to carry too many sims.

 

then again you can't have everything...

I guess its more suited for Mobile Phones! What I have is a Data Card with my lap top. I find the speed painfully slow. Thats why This week I will go to their business center to complain. I dont know if my data card is broken though. Its only a little faster than dial up.. I complained by phone and they are saying it depends on the area where I am but according to their web site my area is covered. Also I can see my connection is at HSDPA. I called again they asked where am I using it. I told them inside my house. This technical person told me its better if I use it outside WTF! Why would I surf the net outside. I keep on pointing it out that base on you add you can achieve speend up to 1.4 mbps. Then they aswered me again that during non peak hours it can. I tried it early morning. Still slow.

 

If they cant do something about this I will terminate my contract with them even if I pay the 10000 pesos that they are saying that I have to pay them. After all I wont use this system at such slow rate. I hope my data card broken cause otherwise the 2000 pesos that I am paying them is not worth it. I was ripped off in short. Now I have to pay 10000 just to get out.

i switched to smart rin because globe has been sending unsolicited promotional messages! if dont want to receive messages like that from them you have to reply "off" but they will charge you for that reply and after replying "off" they will send you a new one! got tired of it and complained about to them, they said that i wont receive anymore messages like those. but i still did! so i went to sm and saw a sim swap booth! good riddance!!!!

 

Same lang din nmn. SMART does send unsolicited SMS as well. Like ringtone subscriptions etc... Kaya gnun din... :thumbsdownsmiley:

Definitely untrue... I live somewhere in QC. To get a signal, I'd still have to go outside our house tapos di pa full bar un, sometimes 2 bars only sometimes 1 bar tapos nawawala-wala pa...

 

I've tried also going on the roof top of a bldg in Makati, pati dun nawawala-wala ang signal... :thumbsdownsmiley:

I had my Visibility account since Dec. 4, 2006,

 

The GLOBE/Ayala group should be XXXXXXXX, misleading consumers and its loyal clients........

 

Yeah What A waste of money. I cut off my PLDT DSL Connection Thinking that this would be much better. I was mad at PLDT because they cannot do anything with my dsl connection all they said that my internal phone wires which goes around house is the problem and I have to fix that before they can fix my DSL. Shucks that would cost a bundle just to do that. kaya the hell with it cut of my DSL and I will go to globe. BAD Mistake I thought It would be cheaper. Now I am Paying 2000 pesos a month for a speed less than dial up. And If I terminate the contract I will pay globe another 10 K. Wow good Business for them bad forus consumer. I will go to Globe business center to have my service cut off even if I pay the 10 K. Totally useless service. I am really pissed off that I intend to cut off my mobile service with them also which I have for over 10 years now.

Maybe if you complain na hindi mo nakukuha yung service na inoffer nila you can have the fee waived... bad trip naman yun, parang gimmick para kumita sila sa mga mag papa disconnect sa asar... I had the same experience with pldt weroam, slower than dialup, buti prepaid account lang kinuha ko, unfortunately yung card binili ng 10k. Siguro pwede yan pang e-mail lang, not even webmail, pop3 lang talaga.

Yeah I will definitely try that kaso baka sabihin just read the contract. Asar talaga its a trap for us consumers wanting better service. Good business for them parang scam talaga. I wish I can report them to someone. NTC kasi useless din. Ala ginagawa sa mga compalints.

Hey guys, I dont know what happened but now I am getting pretty good speed on globe visibility. I was about to go to the business center to terminate my contract but when i tested it just to make sure. I am getting good speed. Siguro I am averaging 300 to 700 kbps not bad actually. Its faster than mydestiny cable installed last friday. Yung inconsistent ang speed minsan mabilis minsan mabagal. I complained already sa customer service nila and they said they are on a back up only kasi of the recent earthquake that happened in taiwan. I am not sure though kung alibi to.

 

As of now I am hanging on sa visibility account ko if it is always this way then I am okey with it. Three days na and I am still getting good speed

been a subscriber with globe for six years...same peeves, same hassles but i've been sticking with it because simply i've got used to it...

 

this january they gifted legacy subscribers with either a rebate on their monthly payments or a new higher-end cellphone, so i got a k800i, without any added extras or fees...

 

i also have a smart line but i don't see any improvements between that and globe...nor do i see any other improvement in the entire telecommunications industry for that matter...

 

just my $0.02 worth...

apply ako ng speak n surf.. mabilis ang process nila.. one week lang nakuha ko na ung unit... maganda ung wireless phone nila kahit san mo sa metro dalhin meron signal.. and dun sa broadband.. ok ung speed niya.. nakaka download ako ng 50 mb in 20 mins.. not bad na rin sa broadband na wireless.

 

Taga Saan Ka? I heard pag LP area di masyado maganda speed. Ako kasi visibility plan e its still not as fast as nung dsl ko dati but its tolerable and usable na.

My friend who is few blocks away applied for this " Globe SpeaknSurf" Well when I checked it out in her home, its quite cool. Unlike in Smart, the handset and unit will be delivered to you and just set it up. Which is really cool for me as a Smart Bro User

 

Now, Ive tried surfing. Good. Friendster? Nah cant load it. Maintenance is not the reason. Ive just surfed in friendster 5minutes a while ago so that's not a reason. Download? Quite good but my connection beats it.

 

Worst thing, if ever you are into some business and is frequent user of credit card and any valuable information, beware and be careful especially on your neighbor. Remeber Globelines uses a much real "wireless" connection. When I tried to access my friends files on her laptop (she knew it of course I just told her about this also thats why I showed her ^^), a little bit of tweaks and some progs, I have full access to her "My Computer" and all other documents. So basically, there is a chance that malicious softwares like keyloggers can be transfered, thus monitoring your keystrokes on any site. Thats why if ever youre into wireless internet, be sure you have reliable firewall and router. And always lock your network.

 

Conclusion: It is good but be safe. If youre just for plain surfing online gaming, porn downloads ^_^, music, well, this is good for you. As for Smart Bro haters out there, Ive experienced hell months with Smart Bro. Believe me, everything new in Philippine technology and other technology, there is always and always be problems. Just like this my friend right now who experience internet slowdowns. I beat her downstream and upload rate despite the criticism that my ISP have. I can play online games with no lag. What really beats me is the connection stabilit which is advantage in wired connections.

Zpdee was my first option but they dont have cables laid out sa area ko so nag destiny ako. Inconsistent ang speed nya right now kasi nga daw di pa ayos yung mainstream line due to the earthquake.

 

My globe visibility account naman is okey na naman now. Not as fast as my wired dsl before kasi I subcribe to the 3000 a month plan for 2 mbps. Really fast! However I am not a have user and its not really worth for me to have that speed to the time I spent online. Sobra lugi ako.

 

Right now I am still waiting for Destiny to be better as they promised mga end of Feb pa raw sla normal. I will wait muna and decide. Thanks bro.

i had been a loyal subscriber of globe since 1996, i terminated by line last 2004 coz of slight differences. my account ended up as a corporate account but since am based in province no one assigned to me, if i have concerns, businesscenter can't handle my complaints but when i call corporate group, am given the runaround kz no one assigned to me.

 

before i cut my line, i said lilipat ako smart kz they are giving me a better deal, the girl i talked to just said "if they can give you a better offer, better switch na." so i took her advise and did that, since then some complaints with smart but they are able to address my problems. nobody's perfect.
