Sa lahat ng mga sira-ulo na sumuporta kay Ricky Hatton. I can't blame you if you were British. But if you are a true blue Pinoy, SHAME ON YOU.

 

I am nearly 40. And I remember rooting for Ali, Leonard, Hagler, etc. While all that was good. It was missing something. Now I know. For the first time in my life, I am rooting for one of our own. And he is no run of the mill paper tiger champion, in the mold of the Navarettes and even the Espinosas. Champions come and go. And with the alphabet soup of boxing councils out there, world champions, at any given time can exceed 100!

 

But Pacman is not just another world champion he is considered as one of the best... EVER! He is the Tiger Woods... or Kobe Bryant, if you will, of boxing. And he is OUR OWN. And you fcukers can't go on board on that? Lol!

 

It may take another 40 years before another Pacman comes out of our own little neck of the woods. I am enjoying every bit of it... until it lasts...

Just look at Hatton, he was still at his physical prime when he fought manny. and he only lasted a mere two rounds? So in the end, it can be argued na mas magaling at matibay pa pala physically si de la hoya kay hatton. Well I guess De la Hoya has something to be thankful for, his defeat was not so embarassing as hatton's is.

Kung lumaban pa si Dela Hoya sa 9th round, for sure matutumba din iyon na kagaya ni Hatton.

Yes of course, no debate on that na talaga namang tutumba si golden boy kay pacman. What I am saying is kalokohan yung assumption na kaya lang nanalo si pacman, dahil masyado ng mahina at matanda si de la hoya. Eh bakit si Hatton? nasa physical peak at prime pa siya pero 2 rounds lang tinagal? Kahit nga si Barrera eh, sabi daw tinalo ni pacquiao si barrera nung wala na siya sa prime nya at sobra ng tanda. Skitz, 100% ako agree sa yo. I can understand if a Filipino rooted for Hatton because he feels he's the better boxer than Pacman, pero to root for Hatton because one wants Pacquiao to lose is simply unforgivable.

PBF was never widely regarded as the best fighter of this era. P4P No. 1 at the time he retired, yes, but not best fighter of his era. Reason? He lacked the resume. The quality of his opposition is so poor that he doesnt qualify as the best of this era or an all-time great. Sina Bernard Hopkins at Roy Jones, Jr. ang considered best fighters of this era before Pacman opened everybody's eyes to the fact that he is THE man; and that he is arguably the best fighter of the past 20 years or so.

 

 

 

I cant help but speculate that one of the many reasons why Pretty boy is coming out of retirement is because he is starting to get insecure of what is happening with the boxing world after he left. He tought kasi kahit nagretire na siya, people will still regard him as the best boxer of this era. Tapos ngayon, many beat up two of floyd’s last two opponents better than he did. I mean for a guy like pbf, the part where you really can hurt this guy the most is his ego. Kahit di siya nagretire, masasapawan pa din siya ni Manny sa pound for pound rankings. And the most respected boxing critics say that many does not need to fight mayweather to cement his status as the best boxer of this time. Actually its now mayweather who needs to fight many and win to put the money where his mouth is.

hehehe, actually pinagagawa rin namin yan when it comes to coverages or events. Its one promotional thing. Kung minsan kasi may nangyayaring iba sa isang sulok ng event tapos may magandang kuha rin sa kabilang sulok. Ang hirap kapag sabay sabay ang mga "scoop" shots. That why, there are times na dinederek namin like say, a couple, an athlete, on what he would do. After all those bruhahas, kapag nakita ng person involved, nagugustuhan niya at lumalabas na maganda ang kanilang ginagawa (some, of course, for the camera). For keepsake yun.

 

Pero ako , I did not see the hand directing or any voice saying na lumuhod siya.

Ewan ko ba kung bakit gustong gusto ni Pacman na pumasok sa politics. Ako'y helong helo sa kanyang ganitong decision.
