seeker_of_daybreak
as a Filipino, I am very proud of what Manny have achieved in his career. I just hope that he works on his success and not just dwell on it. wag lang cyang maging complacent, ndi pa naman perfect ang laro nya. Quote Link to comment
redax
Hope all the money and power he now has won't satisfy him not to strive to work hard in boxing any more. For the fight this September, he would have trained hard for only around 6 weeks. Quote Link to comment
bubuy
i agree with you guys...but we still need to support manny cause he's the only bright spot for our so called country today<{POST_SNAPBACK}>not because we point out to his deficiencies and rather negative qualities doesnt mean we don't support him.. he has a lot of room for improvement, that is the first thing he should admit to himself.. and i think roach is doing the right things now, closed door workouts.. nobody without official business inside WC Gym is allowed inside.. at least they learned their lesson.. redax
I just hope he wins against Vaszuez. It'd be a shock if he lost. Everybody whom he has pissed off will definitely have nasty things to say against him. Quote Link to comment
bubuy
if he loses to velasquez, i think he can kiss the morales rematch goodbye eventhough there are reports that that is already a done deal.. Quote Link to comment
redax
Definitely if he loses the next fight the morales fight if off. That's why promoters usually just give a not so tough fight prior to a main fight. Problem is, in boxing, upsets happen a lot more regularly than in other sports because one good hit can deck the opponent. What's more, if a boxer is not in shape, in the later rounds he's performance suffers. Quote Link to comment
Supra
He can't afford to lose in this coming fight. Quote Link to comment
dani_welcoat
"Manny looked good tonight...some might say otherwise because he got hit a bit in the first two-three rounds... but... HE ALWAYS GETS HIT! lol this is Manny... Velasquez was so confident and even taunting Manny...but Manny just kept smiling, kept his cool, and landed... His "Manilla Ice" tonight was killer...eventually broke Vel down and you could easily notice that Vela wasn't as confident after the 2nd or 3rd. Then Manny just unloaded and put him down. If the ref would have let it go on, Manny would have starched Vela..."TyrantT316 Quote Link to comment
