Agree, that you can also just opt for the non-pcr urine ct/ng.

The consult alone with Dr. Yang is already at 1.5k from my last check with him a while ago.

yung sa loveyourself kasi, 2k pero swab... sa klinka clinics, free lahat pero swab and for gono lang (not chla)

I would go for the klinka sinc free kaso db mas accurate ang urine test compared sa swab?

The standard std screening package costs around 2.5k based on my latest test which covers: rpr, tppa, hbsag, anti-hcv, hiv, cbc and urinalysis.

If you can afford it, pcr urine ct/ng sana boss which is roughly 5k+ vs the non-pcr which is around half but also less accurate.

I think swab is still better especially for females, but for men pcr urine is already good.

walang way of knowing if may gono/chla ka sa standard screening db, like in the urinalysis? meaning you really have to do the pcr urine ct/ng test to know for sure, which is a 5k+ thing

not definitively, but urinalysis can give you an indication of a possible infection, like leukocytes, nitrites, or high wbc.

CBC can also give you clues if your body is fighting an infection..

but to answer it plainly, yes, only a specific test like CT/NG PCR urine(or similar) can reliably give you an answer whether or not you are infected.(also taking into consideration window period)

just to add, urine culture also isn't a 100% reliable method for screening for these types of bacterial infections.
