Jesse Owens
Four world records in 45minutes, 1935
Everyone knows about Jesse Owens's four gold medals in the 1936 Berlin Olympics but athletics experts reckon his performance at the previous year's Big Ten meet in Ann Arbor was better. There, he had set three world records and tied a fourth, all in a span of about 45 minutes. Owens had a bad back but persuaded the coach to allow him to run the 100-yards where he tied the world record of 9.4. This convinced Owens' coach to allow him to participate in his other events. A mere fifteen minutes later, he took part in the long jump. Prior to jumping, Jesse put a handkerchief at 26 feet 21/2 inches, the distance of the world record. After such a bold gesture, he soared to a distance of 26 feet 81/4 inches, shattering the old world record by nearly 6 inches. Disregarding the pain, Owens proceeded to set a new world record in the 220y in 20.3, beating the old record by three-tenths of a second. Within the next 15 minutes, Owens was ready to compete in another event, this one being the 220y low hurdles. In his final event, Owens' official time was 22.6 seconds. This time would set yet another world record, beating the old record by four-tenths of a second.

bro, eto mga list of draftees...
http://bleachersbrew.blogspot.com/2010/08/list-of-2010-pba-draft-applicants.html
In addition to Rabeh and Baclao, the only notables for me are: Jai Reyes (but his size may not compete with the pros; but LA Tenorio made it big- let's see), Melchor Gile, Kazhim Mirza, Chester Taylor & Mark Canlas

This next season's draft is shallow...unless may mga itinatago na fil-foreigners
Smart Gilas discards (with Coach Toroman's constant tinkering of the team's line-up/roster) can add interest to the draft...

'Import' Asi carried Smart past Jordan:
BEIRUT, Lebanon (3rd FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup): With their PBA ‘import’ playing his role rather well, Philippines played well within themselves and earned a 75-71 win over defending champions Jordan in a Group ‘B’ game on Monday.
Philippines, thus won their second game for the second successive night, and are now 2-1. Jordan, who are using this event as a part of their preparations for the 2010 FIBA World Championship, have suffered their second successive loss.
Asi Taulava, brought into the line-up for this competition “to add size”, returned a double-double – a dozen rebounds with a Baker’s Dozen points – to lead the Philippines charge.
“He (Taulava) has definitely added size. He’s responded well to the team not too bad. I think we can look at using him in the long term too, ” Philippines coach Toroman Rajko said.
Marnel Baracel was the SEABA nation’s leading scorer with a 16-point haul.
Chris Tiu scored 13, and Mark Barocca returned an incredible 80% on the paint (4/5) in his 12 points.
Rasheim Wright, yet to gain full match fitness began to find his touch – something that pleased Jordan coach Mario Palma for the long term – and had a game-high 17 points.
“It’s alright. Am getting to feel better, ” Wright said.
Sam Daghles had 15 points and Ayman Idais had 11.
The two Zaids in the Jordanian line-up – Abbas and Al-Khas both pulled down 11 rebounds each.
“Such defeats don’t really matter. What we have to introspect is, if we did what we expected to do right, ” Palma said.
“I think our outside shooting has been very bad so far, ” Palma said.
Jordan converted a mere five attempts in three-pointers out of the 28 times they tried from the perimeter

FACEBOOK SCANDAL
Not only should you be worried about the privacy of your information, but each time a user downloads a facebook application, they are compromising the privacy of their friends:
Facebook’s Web site and lengthy application terms of service curiously fail to mention something rather important. In addition to providing the application developer access to most of your private profile data, you also agree to allow the developer to see private data on all of your friends too.
Many Facebook users set their profiles to private, which stops anyone but their friends from seeing their profile details. This is a great privacy feature that can protect users from cyberstalkers and is completely gutted by the application system. To restate things–if you set your profile to private, and one of your friends adds an application, most of your profile information that is visible to your friend is also available to the application developer–even if you yourself have not installed the application.
Facebook is a big business scandal and their profits come at the loss of their user’s privacy. Users are no longer in control of any information they put on facebook. I will not judge those who continue to use this service, but I will no longer turn a blind eye to this exploitation

Pang-ilan pick ba Ginebra? Rabeh and Baclao are potential top 5 (may be even 3) draft pick. Baka kasi the earliest BGK could pick is no earlier than the 5th pa.

We made the quarters, 'though!
The bad news is that we'll face Iran (No.2 in the other group). The good news is that the team they sent is their Team B (kaya pala nasilat ng Iraq).
