Repeal that "Stupid Lina Law".
I think it should just be amended to clearly exclude privately owned real properties.

Saw the Jars concert! Biased ako...ang galing! Although, they didn't play some of the songs I really wanted to hear! Galing nung light show. We thought, they brought it with them. But according to the organizers pinoy set up daw! Grabe! According to my friends, who happen to be musicians, however, the sound wasn't as crisp as they expected! My other friend naman said, parang prayer rally daw! :boo: :boo:
E may mga madre ba naman nanood! San ka pa?!?!
Talked to Dan Haseltine, Charlie Lowell and Steve Mason on the phone before they left last night! I almost had a heart attack! :boo: Yon lang! Just wanted to share...

Lionel Hampton died in 2002. I think his last performance was at the Lionel Hampton Jazz festival pa! The UofIdaho school of music is named after him e.
But yeah, I wish we could get to see the greats in music. My dream would be to see Janis Joplin, the Doors and the Beatles, perform live!

oh that's awesome - what I'd give to see a legend like him...saka si Lionel Hampton - I guess you saw him too...
he didn't play. they just paid a tribute to him. he was like 60 or something. i didn't even realize who he was kasi shempre alam ko lang itsura niya sa poster...not a big jazz fan but i was so moved. it was like a 30 minute jam session! astig!
the whole festival was for 3 days and there were a lot of musicians! they would be walking around the kibbie dome lang and my friends would be pointing them out like it was nothing. it was a great experience!

good student! naks! i loved going to class and when i was a freshman, i was told that because i was in UP, i was duty bound to do me best. i was often reminded that the fact that i was there, meant another person wasn't. kakaguilty tuloy mag-gago. :hypocritesmiley:
except for math 17 the first time i took it. my professor was heartless, he told me i needed to get a math major boyfriend to pass his class! as if! bwiset siya, drinop ko nga! :grr: :grr:

sir mitra, my geometry teacher. he kept pushing me and giving me proving problems to solve because i kept telling him, i was lousy at math! hahaha he said i was an underachiever...but i was really touched by his faith in my abilities and his patience. i was the biggest brat!

unforgettable din yung pearl jam concert in '95 kasi nasa pinakaharap kami tsaka nakapag-body surf ako tsaka ka-slaman ko mga foreigners... sarap ding humawak at humipo sa mga caucasians na nag-crowd surf din...
I remember this too! They were awesome! Galing pa kasi while we were queuing up to enter the folk arts theatre the band was rehearsing so you could hear Eddie Vedder singing...parang teaser! tapos ok pa yung front act...mud honey ba yon?
Sobrang daming tao magkakapalitan kayo ng muka sa sobrang sikip! hahaha pero astig! had a blast!

Is this question for me? The room at Balinghai cost US$45 per night but a friend of mine booked it, she's a local.

I think, the government is duty bound to provide housing for the poor. The purpose of the law was meant to apply to squatters in lands belonging to the public domain. I can only remember some of the law's salient points. One of which is to provide for a relocation area for the slum dwellers, when subject real properties are "reclaimed." In a way, the government is therefore obliged to provide low cost housing for the homeless.
