    Any Metalheads Here In Mtc?

    I remember Newsted going here in '96 as well as the members of Metallica were going to specific cities around the world and he was promoting their album "Load" at the time. He even jammed with Sky Church and Wolfgang I think. But after he left Metallica in 2002, I don't remember him going back here. Are you sure of your info?

     

    am not sure of the year, but they do not have any new album out so it cannot be a promo tour of sort. there were no press people around then, i did not even recognized the man until my friend told me it was jason on our way out, only catched last two numbers.

    immortol666: dude, are you sure def leppard played in '96? how could i missed them? i know they had a tv promo tour for the slang album. nelson twins also reached ph for a promo tour (watched them in campo).

     

    jason newstead (yes, i think it was post metallica) played at hard rock glorrieta jammin with local bands.

    tama si immortal, metal festival ang kulang dito sa pinas... kung magkakaron siguro ng pinoy metal festival dito, malamang manonood ako. para naman malaman ko ung mga local metal bands dito sa pinas...

     

     

    malamanglamang tayo tayo lang manood, mukhang rare species and metalheads sa pinas e :P

     

    oh well, in history, sino sino na bang band ang dumalaw sa pinas on tour except metallica and bon domeng?

    two albums i equally loved from EXTREME, too bad only "More Than Words" enjoyed local popularity, all other songs were only aired over NU107 back then.

    mga bro, napadaan ako kanina sa mrt station sa shaw blvd, may nakatinda na pirated dvd ng motley crue, bili kayo dali, cool yun.

     

    di ko lang nga sure kung yung cencored edition yun or kung yung explicit. tsaka yung orig dami bonus/easter eggs, di ko din sure dito sa pirated, nonetheless okay na din. walang available locally nun, yung copy ko galing amazon.com kaya napamahal ako

    @Cruesome: Alice Cooper is only considered hard rock nowadays not unlike back in the day (read: the '80s) when he was still considered metal. But I don't think he's glam. He's the total opposite of glam 'coz his image is dark compared to the teeny-bopper-intended image of Poison, Bon Jovi, Winger et al. A lot of people call his music 'shock rock'.

     

    Ozzy is definitely metal, or 'was metal'. His recent efforts are weak and uninspired and contribute absolutely nothing to metal. His work with Sabbath and his solo material up to 'No More Tears' is definitely metal.

     

    ozzmosis is i think was ozzy's weakest effort, whereas no more tears as the opposite. cooper sounds glam (especially the thrash album) yup, he's dark.

    @Cruesome: Pare, salamat sa mp3 cd na binurn mo sa akin. Karamihan ng hinahanap ko at pinaplano pa lang na i-download sa Limewire e nandun na ata. Unang salang ko pa lang ng cd sa car stereo ko, "More Than Words Can Say" na agad ng Alias! Shet, nabalik ako bigla sa 1991! Habang ipit sa traffic, napapakanta pa ako ng "HEY! YOU'RE GIVING YOURSELF AWAY!" Ha, ha, 'langyang Ratt yan. Gasgas ata sa Power 105 yan dati. Pucha, lumalabas na edad ko dito a. Salamat uli!
