Regarding downgrading your PLDT plans: pwede ba yun?

Knowing PLDT, they'll give you the run-around before they even grant you that. A typical scenario they'll employ: You'll have to unsubscribe your current DSL service first by going to their business office and surrendering your DSL modem and phone filters. Then you'll have to re-apply for another DSL service. Which can take weeks to process.

Stupid, 'no?

Kami naman we wanted our dsl phone line transfered to another location. When the linemen came in they saw that the location was gong to be an office so we have to upgrade the phone line from a residential line to a business line even though it is a home/office. Then when I was applying for the upgrade, the person on the other end told me that they cannot go through with the phone upgrade unless the transfer has been completed or when the order for the transfer has been canceled. Then they're gonna charge us the transfer fee nga. Since we're a small office lang and the business line would cost PhP1,600/month plus the DSL for PhP3,000/month, we've decided to use Globe broadband for PhP998/month and a Bayantel Span for the extra phone line for PhP749/month. Screw you, PLDT!

Ako personally, I hate Reed and Tony the same way. It's just that Tony is the active traitor and Reed is just in the background. So Tony gets more flak.

Cheaper still, use linux.

Dunno if Nebula died again after the Infinity trilogy but then again ur asking for heroes who died w/c I also dunno since I started reading again 2 yrs ago.

Actually I'm not even asking for any deaths for it to be considered a major milestone... Unlike the Civil War series, even if nobody had died, it would still be a critical junction in the Marvel universe saga...

That's what I meant: the Infinity series was just like a bad dream. I felt cheated when I bought that series because I thought it would be something that would become a major milestone in the Marvel universe history.

You mean to say there were some notable heroes that actually died in that Infinity series? Did the whole infinity war have any lasting consequences to the Marvel universe like civil war did?

If an employee is earning 10,000/month, how much is his withholding tax? And how do you compute for it? Do you start computing for the tax after paying off your SSS and Pag IBIG dues, or do deduct your tax from the whole 10,000? Thanks.

Noob Question:

I'm thinking of setting up a business and hiring one employee. I want that employee to have SSS benefits. Supposing I'm giving that employee a PhP 12,500/month salary, how much does that employee and my business contribute to that employee's SSS?

Another question:

Is the deduction from that employee's salary (the amount paid for that employee's SSS contribution) taxable?

The worst talaga ang Standard Charter.

 

This one time (at band camp), I had a total amount due of 3,004.25

I asked my driver to pay for it at Union bank and I gave him 3,000 pesos.

He paid for it and gave me the receipt.

The next month I receive an amount due of more than 300 pesos.

I called the bank to find out why and they said that they charged me interest.

I said "you charged me interest for the remaining balance of 4.25 pesos?"

They said - yes, we charged you interest for the 3,004.25 because you did not pay in FULL.

That is the operative word here "FULL" - that's right, they are FULL of S#¤T

Paid it off and got rid of the card (discontinued the service)

(both to the card user and the merchant) - hindi kasi Greedy ang BPi when it comes to fees and charges, fair sila!

I also have this current gripe with Standard Chartered. Two years ago, we got a call from their call center asking us to pay for a specified amount on a Supplementary card. It was a shock because I thought that by paying the minimum amount from the principal account, we would also cover the dues for the supplementary card. But it wasn't so. So we got irked and just paid the FULL total dues of the supplementary card and asked them to DISCONTINUE the supplementary card on the same day and the call center agent acknowledged the cancellation. Imagine our surprise one year after when they were charging us twice the amount of the supplementary card one year later!

So this situation infuriated me because 1) they were charging me for the dues for a credit card that we supposedly canceled a year ago and 2) The total due for the supplementary card was suspiciously high.

So I called them up and asked for a full transcript of transaction records from 3 years ago up to the present. I found out that some payments made to the supplementary card were being 'bounced' back to the principal account. Diba kaya nga nagkautang yun supplementary card ko was because they were treating the payment from the principal card and the supplementary card as separate? Now they dare to bounce off credits from the supplementary card to the principal card out of sheer pleasure?

In effect, the supplementary card made a transaction against its credit (to the principal account) and instead of having 0.00 unpaid balance, we got charged 2,000.00++. And take note that this happened AFTER we asked the supplementary card to be canceled. So The 2,000 "debt" accumulated a year's worth of finance charges and late dues to finally reach 14,000++. And their law firm is now asking us to pay for the dues or risk getting sued.

So is there any agency where we can report this malicious MO of Standard Chartered? What is their game anyways? Surely this isn't a fair banking practice.

I get mine from demonoid.com. It's a bit torrent search engine. The problem is, they only open registration a few days each month...

It may be true that Cap may be resurrected in the future, I think it would be better if they did not. Although he was my favorite character in the Marvel Universe, his death would have no meaning if they somehow undo this storyline. I think it's a good move for Marvel and it frees Steve Rogers from being 'tainted' as the whole Marvel Universe becomes darker after Civil War...

The only consolation I'd wish will happen with Cap's death is that somebody should k*ll Tony Stark and Mister Fantastic, too...

Have you tried the Toy Shop in V-Mall greenhills? The one on the 2nd floor near the alley that connects V-Mall to Theater Mall? I saw a lot of re-issue 3 3/4 Joe figures there about a few months ago...

It was weird though that according to DC comics the real superwoman(supermans cousin) died. Then all of a sudden she reappears on the JL series and then is left in the future,what really happened to her anyway?

They're both Superman's cousin (sort of). The 'old' Supergirl died during Crisis on Infinite Earths (circa '86) and as a result of that storyline the remaining duplicate earths merged to form this modern DC universe with new timelines. In essence, it 'rebooted' the DC universe from that time on. This 'new' Supergirl is a product of that 'rebooted world' and she did went to the future.

Don't worry about it too much, DC comics 'reboots' their universe once every 10 years or so that it's really hard to get a definitive history of the characters. For the record, Dc also 'rebooted' the DC universe during the Zero Hour storyline and recently in Infinite Crisis.

Saw some of the Hasbro Marvel collection. Ang pangit na compared to Toy Biz's line (the sculpting and the paint finish). They're not as articulated as the ones Toy Biz used to make...

I just got a Strike Freedom 1/100 kit from my trip in Taiwan, but felt bad that the fingers weren't articulated at all. Because of this I bought another kit, Freedom. I liked Freedom better because the fingers at least partially parts and closes.

Regarding Strike Freedom, I want its gold parts to be really shiny (as mirror reflective shiny), is there a paint technique to accomplish that?
