  1. two basic self-defense of the Internet generation.. Ganging up on a hapless individual,, KUYOG.. afterwards bragging about it during some drinking spree OR lawyering up..asking Daddy or Mommy.. or some influential relative to sue.. Any other form of martial art is deemed a sport and has no real defensive function..hahaha what a joke!

  2. if u cant avoid the woman then i guess the best way to defend the attack of a woman is to cover one's face with both hands but with the elbow facing the attacker. then keep swinging the elbows as if ur defending ur self but actually ur using it to counter attack, u need to be in close contact for these technique. Never throw a fist or kick or grap to a woman, u'll look guilty instantly.

thanks for the advice sir.. yung siko parang destruction techniques ng Kali .. wherein the defender tries to intercept an incoming blow which the tip of his elbow.. Kaso pag tumama any part ng babae sigurado sabog yun.. soft and frail kasi ang construction ng female body.. talo na naman sa batas.. hehehe anyway thanks po uli sir 307.. yung eye scratching/gorge ang kinakatakot ko talaga.. sabi ng friend ko MMA slip and slide.. footwork to avoid.. kaso pag multiple opponents at nakidawdaw yung babae.. pahirap hindi rin siya tamaan..
  3. You can have as many firearms as you'd like as long as they are not "crew serviced" weapons. Erap signed an EO when he was president repealing the law about "one long, one short" firearms only. I myself have 4 pistols of various calibers. All legally possessed and know others with multiple handguns and high powered rifles(5.56mm, 7.62mm) all legal.

anu po ang ibig sabihin ng crew serviced?? Bakit po yung mga rich and influential may gun collection? vague ang regulations
  4. aikido rin po sir iceman yung style daw ni Mon Tulfo.. yet look what happen.. what I'm asking sir is the degree of physicality needed to thwart the attacks of a woman without getting into legal trouble.. I have no intention of "hurting" a woman,, kaso if she is armed with a gun or a knife.. or nakikisawsaw sa rumble by clawing someboby's eyes.. what can you do?? Anyway.. thanks for replying sir iceman..

  6. since walang gusto sumagot on how to deal with a woman.. tear gas o taser.. para walang permanent damage.. and only if she's armed..unahan na agad.. the worst you can get is slight physical injuries.. which is a bailable offense..

  7. In the aftermath of Mon Tulfo, Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barreto 'rumble'.. now.. would somebody please tell me how I can 'defend' myself against a woman, considering the law is biased, in favor of the "weaker" sex?? The video clearly showed Claudine was clawing Mon's eyes.. In martial arts.. that could be considered a tactic that could cause serious or permanent injury.. If a man were to do that.. one could easily defend against.. but if a woman were to do that against a man.. the man might be reluctant.. have some reservations.. kasi po malamang kakampihan ng naman ng batas yung babae.. even if she were the attacker..ANY LAWYER/MARTIAL ARTIST who can advice on how to go about defending against a woman?? salamat po.. In addition..pag multiple attackers.. wala kang laban.. no matter how skilled you are..

  8. not really. the 52 week low of this stock is 15.30 and the 52 week high is 28.95 and closed at 20.50 yesterday. The stock peaked sometime Aug of last year and has since corrected to 18.50 before consolidating at current levels.

it's still your gut feeling plus some insider information that would decide which stocks to buy or sell.. all the fundamental analysis.. to check out the company's business standing ... the technical analysis to get the stock trends.. do give a semblance of control.. but in the end.. there's still the element of gambling in stock trading.. you lose some .. you win some.. it's an emotional game..you do what your emotions tell you to do.. having the composure to do what's right.. at the right moment would decide if you gain or lose.. the numbers don't lie.. but your perception at times gets blurred in all the 'excitement'.. Please sir fatchubs..huwag po ninyo masamain ang sinabi ko.. and if I did rub you the wrong way .. pa cencya na po..

  9. I'm just new sa thread na to.. Been a holder ng CITISEC for a year now.:). Still practicing..

I've read na mataas ang demand ngayon dyan sa IPO ng GT Holdings and they're saying na hindi daw sila magtataas ng price. I think the current price for this is 455, still in the range which is 415-470. Pwede.. However, I'm not a basher for this stock (or any other stocks)so decide for your own na lang. But I think it's a good buy. That is.. if you could still catch a ride. ;)

GT Capital has interests in banking (Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co.), power (Global Business Power), real estate (Federal Land Inc.), automotive (Toyota Motor Philippines) and insurance (Phil AXA Life Insurance Corp.)

  10. sana po may abogado na makapagbigay linaw sa aking katanungan.. Question: Can you respond proportionately to a violent attack by a woman? especial if she is armed with a gun?? a bladed weapon or a taser?? Kasi po very biased ang batas when it comes to violence committed against women. The law is always in their favor.. even if they provoked the attack.. Alam po ng mga babae yan kaya sige sige lang sila manakit.. ok lang sana if they weren't armed.. SO, CAN I DEFEND MYSELF AGAINST AN ARMED WOMAN AS IF SHE WERE A MAN.. WITHOUT ANY LEGAL IMPEDIMENTS? WAIS KASI MGA BABAE NOWADAYS.. PARA SILANG MGA HAMOG BOYS WHO COMMIT CRIMES WITH IMPUNITY KASI HINDI SILA MAKAKASUHAN HELP PLEASE PARA ONCE AND FOR ALL MALAMAN NG MGA KALALAKIHAN HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS SORT OF SITUATION.. Salamat po..

if walk-in ka ... they would allow you in so long as there as seats available..may priority sa mga clients ng citisec,,, if you do decide to schecule your seminars.. basta punta ka citisec during office hours 9am onwards.. very accommodating sila.. and they would set the schedule for you if you are a client..

  13. I'm anticipating a bearish PSE this year, especially with PNoy at the helm.

So I'd advice my fellow investors to be more cautious in buying stocks..Personally I'd prefer Mining, Financials and Telecoms.

And be VERY CAUTIOUS investing in the Property sector.

thanks sa advice sa san miguel Purefoods.. growing fear that interest rates would go up.. tama po caution sa property sector.. HOW ABOUT AGI sir?? alliance global?

  14. My first martial arts training club was Maharlika Kung-Fu Kuntaw where I learned some of my basic and more advanced kicking and punching skills. From there I continued my studies through books.

In college, I joined Mr. Presas' school but was disappointed when they wanted me to join a Karate inter-school tournament while the other advanced students joined TKD. Basagan kasi ng mukha ang karate-do and nobody wanted to join.

I was very confident of my skills then. I had some sparring (full contact) sessions with some friends from PUMA and SuKadSu, not to mention TKD and I held my own. One TKD student who had a higher degree than I did even removed his belt after sparring with me. I tried to befriend him and asked why he wasn't wearing his belt. He told me nahihiya daw sya. Well, what can I do? I couldn't hold back just so he can keep his pride.

Anyway, one day while playing basketball, (dayo kamin noon). An opponent suddenly and not very surreptitiously hit me with his elbow. I tried to keep my cool but I noticed he kept hitting me when I made a rebound or when we're scrambling for the ball. When he suddenly pushed me using his elbow so that I almost fell I just totally lost my cool and hit him in the mouth.

We kept punching and kicking. Kaya lang nasalo nya ang isang paa ko tapos sigaw sya nang "O,ano! Anol!" Hinila ko paa ko tapos napasama sya sa kin sinalubong sya ng kamao ko. I thought he would get knocked out then. But I suddenly felt an arm surround my throat throat tapos ang dami nang sumusuntok sa kin. I tried covering my face pero may biglang humila sa kin tapos sabi, "Tama na yan!" I thought it was a team mate so I removed my hand from my face then WHAM! I saw stars! REally!!

I fell on the ground tapos ayun na, and dami nang nakisipa.

May humila ulit sa kin tapos tinakbo na ko.

What I learned from that experience is that

    1. You can't really use your legs in a fight. Minsan you might get a chance pero di palagi.

    2. Hand techniques are better.

    3. The martial arts teaches you to fight in a gentlemanly and fair way, man-to-man.

    3. Street fights are never fair nor gentlemanly.

Yes, I agree that kids should learn the martial arts so they'll know how to control their anger and more importantly, so they can defend themselves.

I suggest Boxing and Jujitsu. Some foot techniques would be good, but not very useful.

Boxing because it's the most practical and useful martial art there is.

Jujitsu because most fights usually happen on the ground.

KUYOG seems to be the order of the day... sabi nga ng mga older folks... duwag daw mga kabataan ngayon... Swarming is an age-old tactic used to offset whatever self-sefense trainng one may or may not have... ingat lang sa mga kumukuyog... it is very dangerous to gang-up on an armed individual... gun or knife... may turn the tables against them..

  16. chi or ki... or intrinsic energy... is very much real... unfortunately... rare will you find a master who would teach this art openly.,, Even so... most practitioners of the 'soft' style are quick to say that they are not invincible.. I last time I did witness a true internal style was back in the late 60s.. and early 70s...sa Chinatown... a visiting master from taiwan... No dim mak.. the judo guy tried to grapple the 40 something master to the ground... he shoke his body... and the judo guy fell by the side...three guys tried to gang up on him.. attacking from all sides... kuyog style... all at the same time.. he just walked in circles... at hindi po siya tamaan o mahuli... he never threw a punch or kick.. challenge po ung mga participants... they really tried to humiliate the man,,and his so called 'style',,, pero hindi umubra...

Nowadays... it is best to take up BJJ or wrestling judo... and combine it with a striking style...muy thai.. or whatever... and try to study a Filipino martial art that's authentic...to be a well-rounded martial artist.

  17. JUST ASKING... are tachi-waza...throwing techniques of judo or jujitsu...all but eliminated in Gracie jujitsu???... I always see gracie jujitsu stylists.. shooting under a punch... grabe the legs and topple the opponent...once in the ground grapple to apply a submission hold/choke etc... WALA NA PO ANG THROWS... LIKE IN JUDO???...A GOOD THROW CAN EASILY KNOCK AN OPPONENT UNCONSCIOUS... it can also bring an opponent to the ground...ANY INFOS???... TNX !!
