Yung hindi mainstream like Italiannis... yung medyo hard to find na magandang date place. syempre dapat above average yung food and service. thanks!

I have almost tried all the "best" Katsu in town restaurants but I find YABU is still the best in most aspects of Food, Price, Serving Portions, Service, Authenticity, Decor, but could get crowded at times.

I remember in the 70's that there was a "panaderia" in Frisco near Talayan Village that sold pan de sal. Is that bakery still there? ( Del Monte Avenue/Roosevelt area). They made pan de sal that I remember. They were huge, crusty, heavy, but soft in the inside. Just one or two pieces will be enough for a good breakfast. I used to toast it with Anchor butter and top it with Reno potted meat or liver spread or Tome spanish sardines or Marca Aguila/Lady's Choice Guava Jelly. It was really yummy and satisfying.

I like my Pan de Sal to be Crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Preferably a little salty and as big as a fist. I wonder where I can buy this kind of pan de sal in Manila. I remember they used to bake pan de sal like this.
