  1. One of the expectations by his critics is communist yang digong na yan, lang hiya anu na nagyari ngayun peace na sana eh, another 50+ years na naman ang labanan nito.

Duterte has developed good relations with the local NPA in the Davao area. He thought he can do the same for the entire country. He was wrong. The NPA are localized bandits no longer following a strict central command. By now Duterte and his men have realized what many have known before - those oldies that call themselves the communist leaders are leaders of no one. The local NPA commanders run a business, they do it for money. They have no interest in peace.

  2. What did I miss here?

james cutter claimed there's someone here who has 7 alternicks. I asked if he can reveal the 7 alternicks so everyone knows who are just alternicks here. He said mod has to approve before he can reveal the 7. Baka those who seem "non-reg" dito sa PEaCE eh alternick lang pala ng isang regular poster.

I'm not asking for the identity of the person behind the handlename. Just information on which handlenames belong to the same person. For the sake of fairness.

  3. The troll with seven alternicks is affected by my post above. I am used to the troll getting affected by my posts.

Hmm.. Interesting piece of information. Can you share ano yung seven alternicks nya?

  4. So... hindi naman talaga "save save save"? Reducing funds in some areas and increasing funds in other areas. Not sure, pero di ba yun nga yung "budgeting". After Ondoy and Yolanda i would think reasonable to increase standby funds for disasters. And i don't see anything wrong with servicing foreign debts, ayan nga at tumaas pa credit rating natin kasi ok daw tayo pautangin. To address the underspent funds, ayun they resorted to DAP pero nakuryente nga lang sila dun. Solution fail eh.

At yung DAP, di yan parang cash na winithdraw at pinapamudmod ng Pangulo sa senado at kongreso in a white envelope ala GMA. Realignment ng pondo yan to a govt project. As to amount or percentage, di ko alam kung magkano total ang nadisburse through DAP to be able to conclude most sa Corona impeachment nga napunta or not. Yoko naman manghula at baka ma-fake news pa ako.

Ilan?

If we assume kasi na hindi fake news ang data ng PPP Center, may 116 projects worth P1.64T ang na-approve ng NEDA Board sa panahon ni PNoy. Ayoko na lang himayin kung ilan dyan ang infra, at ayoko na lang din mag-assume kung ano ang considered as "major", kasi subject to each one's opinion ano ang pwede na ituring na "major". Kailangan ba bilyones, or ok na 100 milyon?

Masyado mahirap sagutin eh. Di pwede tanong yan sa Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader.

  6.

In 2009, NEDA-ICC approved the MRT 7 project. Pop Quiz Question #1: Sino ang Pangulo nung 2009?

In 2013, NEDA Board approved MRT 7 project.

In April 2016, construction of MRT 7 started.

Yung maka-perfect score dun sa Pop Quiz questions, may prize na Very Good Star.

If you actually had experience studying in the US, mapa-Harvard man o kahit anong top-ranked school pa yan, at the end of every school year eh yung mga graduating students pag nag-vacate ng dorms eh iniiwan mga gamit nila precisely for the use of the incoming students. It's not stealing, it's not mendicancy, it's just how it is.

  8. Once country A commits an act of aggression against country B, country B and its allies are within their sovereign rights to exercise individual and collective self-defense against country A. No UNSC resolution needed. The difference with respect to the chemical attack in Syria is that it was [allegedly] committed by the Syrian government against its own people. There was no inter-state aggression. Just like with most situations where States are faced with the situation of whether or not to exercise humanitarian intervention, the UNSC usually ends up with an impasse and some States just exercise unilateral action. Trumps 49 tomahawks in Syria is one example; NATO's actions in Kosovo is another. And even if such States exercise unilateral action, most other States support them and the vetoing countries (China or Russia) don't do anything about it afterwards. If North Korea invades South Korea, you can be sure the US will swoop in and attack North Korea. The only question there is whether China will come to North Korea's aid. States, no matter how big, avoid armed conflict with other bigger States. NATO didn't do anything when Russia invaded Georgia or when Russia annexed a portion of Ukraine. Russia could only criticize Trump when it rained missiles in Syria and pulled out its forces in that Syrian airbase precisely to avoid being pushed in a situation where they would have to actually respond militarily. The big bad wolves love to huff and puff, but we're still waiting for the house to really come down. We just have to settle for their proxy wars where small States take the beating.

  9. The Du30 administration itself is a house divided on the mining issue. Following the proper processes and undertaking the necessary coordination is the way to address the matter as a whole. The DOF Secretary is most vocal on the issue because frankly, the DOF is the agency most affected by the action of the DENR. The DENR proceeded to shut down the mining firms and contracts without going through the council it co-chairs with the DOF. The budget for this year is 3 trillion pesos, and the DOF has to find that money somehow. DENR won't raise the funds to match the mining revenues that it has unilaterally decided to abandon. What about the workers displaced? Sure let the government give them financial assistance for the time being. Guess where the money's coming from - it's not the DENR. The DBM has to find the fiscal space within the current year's budget to answer for a program that's not included in the budget in order to immediately provide aid to miners who will be out of work. We're talking about billions of pesos here, and that's no chump change. I am also pro-environment but I know first hand that the art of government is not simple. Resolving one issue might seem simple enough, but it impacts other issues as well. That's why going through the process and coordination is important.

  10. Paano ba yan? Yung LP senators tinagalan ng committee chairmanships. The once mighty LP is now a shell of its old self.

Typical story na yan sa Philippine politics. Same story with LAKAS. Everybody bolted out of the party in 2009/2010 and switched to LP or NP. In 2016 the same people switched to PDP. It's probably gonna be the same story in 2022. NPC lang talaga yung medyo matatag na party kasi they focus on consolidating their local bases. And prior to PNoy's presidency LP was no longer a big party. Just a level higher than what PDP was before Duterte.

  11. I'm surprised that no one mentioned the recent controversy of Duterte Admin where solicitor general is appealing to CA to reverse the Napoles' Illegal detention ruling by lower court. What the f*ck is going on? Government defending Janet Napoles? Anong kagaguhan to? Using government resources to defend Napoles? Marami siyang pera may sarili siyang legal team. Attention Dutertards please explain your master's reason for defending Napoles.

    Ako I'm not surprised. :)

  12.

    Best example was Noli Eala

Which means De Lima will suffer the same consequence

    digong din dapat

Ops, easy lang mga sir. Tandaan, ang case ni Eala ay "scandalous" kasi Eala was a married man who had an affair with a married woman.

  13. We just have to accept that the RCC is just another segment of political society. Just like any other Filipino, they have the right to freedom of expression. Hindi yan 1987 Constitution of the RCC.
