  1. I was in singapore last april for 3 days ....... we made our way thru the city mostly on our own and not thru any accredited tour guides so I guess we kinda got a little pulse of what the singaporeans are. A lot of them are quite frank when they speak to you. But that does mean they are rude. And most of them (especially the ones in the business district) have this "mind your own business" facade. But if you politely ask them for (say directions) they would most probably help you out.

Ironically, my only bad experience here in singapore was with a bunch of fellow filipino tourists who do not understand the meaning of "RESERVED"

my son and i had a similar experience, too last month. "kabayan" pa man din tsk tsk tsk

  2. Mga Kabarangay, I watched the video kagabi from youtube. almost 5 seconds na pala si simpson sa paint area nung pinasahan sya ni devance, dapat tinawagan nila ng tres sa ilalim un.. tsk tsk tsk anyway.. wala lang

6 seconds bilang ko...dalawang 3 second violation bwahahaha

well this is it...let our voices be heard. change the coach.

  3. Sabi nga sa nabasa ko dati sa isang column sa pdi, tabla na daw ang Ginebra at pf in terms of popularity, I guess that is due with the way pf (or derby ace) plays and how they are motivated by their coach na although ma-drama talaga pero magaling mag-motivate at mag-design ng plays lalo na sa endgame or dire situations....

with the way jong's boys have been playing as of late, i will not be surprised if the fans start dwindling. and if this is true na tabla na ang kings and PF in terms of popularity, then this is really bad news for the smc franchise. kings really need a coach who could motivate and energize the players. paging mr. henry cojuangco, we need JA-WORS-KI...JA-WORS-KI

  4. Talo in another closely fought game.

i guess i'll have to say it again...CHANGE THE COACH

  5. @sir Junix, steer clear away from Taurus pistols! you are right, there have been a lot of negative feedbacks. i have personally witnessed, twice, slides literally falling to pieces from Taurus guns. their revolvers, however, seem to be a different case. does your kid have a grip capable of holding hicap pistols? if yes, you could go with APP/Tanfolglios, CZs, Jerichos, Sigs. the steyr is also a good pistol.

i wouldn't recommend a glock to a kid, until you are quite sure about his firearms discipline. the fact that there is no manual safety give me pause on that. since glocks are only being sold to police and soldiers nowadays, you might also find it hard to find one.....

thanks for these infos chief. actually my son's been firing his mom's 9mm bul cherokee for almost a year now and he's been steady with it. he once tried my colt 1911 but it was just too heavy for him. maybe we could check out some tanfoglios or CZs at the gun show. glock is certainly out of the picture.

  6. Miller should psyche himself and 'take it up a notch' on his performance to redeem himself and prove to all and sundry that Ginebra got the better

end of the trade deal with him and Skyrus. This is his moment of redemption...and pag naging factor siya mabubura ang majority perception na mas nakinabang ang Alaska kaysa Ginebra. But, of course, coaching (play execution, rotation, and swift reaction and adjustment) and import (defense, coherence with teammates, and hardwork)presence will play a major factor. Pero magandang sidelight yung 'trade deal'

Let's wait and see...and hope for the best!!!

agree. i expect miller to be at his best in the series...besides this is payback time. and if the kings play the way they did last time against RoS, mahihirapan ang alaska.

i'll take note of these guns chief. btw, any reviews on the taurus guns? if my memory serves me right, i read some negative feedbacks on the taurus guns. anyway, i'll surely check on all these guns.

hindi problema ang Line-up/Import ang problema how he handles the rotation ng players...

if there will be one, then count me in as one of its petitioners.

  9. d only pg whos free would be lakers farmer and fish plus spurs parker..... if they sign amare they should pick fisher or parker.... bt if they want nash they should trade some1 frm them.....

TP is not a free agent so i don't think he is free to sign anywhere, especially with the knicks. the only instance he could be playing alongside amare is through a trade with the spurs.

thanks for this info chief. i'll be checking these guns during the gun show. malamang sa 2nd day na kami dadaan ng son ko.

  11. That win somehow gave Ginebra fans something to hope for, sana lang tuloy-tuloy na nga ang panalo nila at maging maganda sana ang coaching ni Jong, ingats ka Jong may commercial na si Jawo for Ginebra baka kasunod na noon is a return to his coaching stint hehe...

i will not be surprised if this happens B)

  12. Sorry its july 15 to july 19

    thanks junix.

no problemo chief. will you be going? btw, my 12 year old son is seriously considering trying practical shooting. he's been shooting with me at armscor marikina since last year...pero mukhang na-engganyo talaga sa practical. any suggestions on what gun he should try? i have a colt 1911 but i think this one's a bit heavy for him. thanks in advance.

  13. big win by ginebra. now, if only the kings can do it on a consistent basis. up next is alaska.

the kings obviously were inspired with their new import and the return of e-menk. daniels is not that flashy but effective and hardworking.

from now on buhay na naman ang mga ka-barangay!!!

  14. Kaya nga eh, Ginebra used to brought some of the most spectacular imports sa PBA..

i guess this can be said during the jaworski era...the likes of hackett, bates, briggs, matthews, ward and gray to name a few.

early this day, exhibition game against team jordan... sunday salvacion scored 15 pts (5/5 3pt fg), while denham brown scored only 2 pts. BGK lost the game 84-81.

another player who is not being given the playing time by jong to show his true worth. sayang ang galing.

hey chief...nice to see you on the board. yap! universal studios singapore opened sometime in march of this year. was there with my son last month. there are still some rides to be finished, though. maliit lang yung park but over-all i guess it's okay. if my memory serves me right entrance was S$66.00 for adults and S$44.00 for kids. hope this helps B)

  17. with all due respect kay Big J.

in between the legendary Chito Loyzaga, Dondon Ampalayo, Ray Cuenca of the 80's and the Bal David, Marlou Aquino, Noli Locsin era, naging talunang team po ang Ginebra.

during a period of time, naging kuhanan ng panalo ang Ginebra. ito ung panahon na mayagpag ang mga "makabagong sistema" nila Tim Cone, Yeng Guiao, at Derrick Pumaren.

again, with all due respect....if the Big J is coming back to the BGK fold, I do not think it should be in the coaching role, most especially, if you are suggesting that he take over from Uichico.

One may have the system but if the players don't cooperate, I don't think such a system will work. I'd pick the Big J over Jong any time of the day.

let me enggage you on a healthy debate bro.

if we are to gauge the historical era of the Big J of the old Ginebra, we cannot down play the contribution he gave to that team. that team was known to have no "superstars" in its line up. due to team budget constraint Jaworski was left to rely on second degree players and washed up veterans. despite of these consequences, Jaworski was able to win PBA titles (1986 Open Conference, 1988 AFC, 1990 1st Conference and 1997 Commissioner's Cup), including the PBA record setting come from behind (down 1-3)win against Shell..Jaworski always relied on pure motivation when he coached Ginebra. He once said: "simple lang ang larong basketball, hindi kelangan komplikahin..".

let's set aside my being a Jawo-fan.. in my opinion, i believe all of the current coaches are applying the "makabagong sistema" to their team, ginebra included. a lot of them are abroad during off season trying to learn different strokes from different NBA coaches...but then, even if you, as a coach, have a good coaching program, pero ang mga players mo puro puyat, gimik sa gabi, sugal, inom, i do not think your team we'll be effective as well.

on his watch, Jaworski made sure that at 10pm all his players were all at home. if not, you'll get penalized severely..one example was when he sent the great Billy Ray Bates home for excessive night outs back then.

if there will be a poll on who's the most qualified coach at this moment for our team, well, Jaworski will have my vote!

very well said chief. jaworski always squeezed out the best in his players. count my vote on this, too.

mukhang malabo yan chief...ginebra lang ang may ganitong kahabang thread. ginebra all the way!!!
