tough loss!

Even with that loss to Alaska last night I like what I see with the current import of Ginebra.

a tough loss indeed. a 26-point deficit was just too much to overcome. nonetheless i believe we have a good import for this conference...not flashy but dependable.

I'm not all too familiar with detailed directions ........ but I saw one in Eastwood. (not sure if there are other branches)

 

Just look for this resto that looks like a pirate ship (I think this area is called Eastwood walk) ...... keep going straight past the pirate ship and you should be able to see a Dulcenia outlet (just near you should see Something Fishy which shares the same building with Sambokojin)

Kung Dads rin lang, go na to Sambokojin Jap-Korean buffet. From the same owners, but the meat and treatment is better here. Mas mukha pang malinis the food. Some Dads/Saisaki/Kamayan branches kasi ang dumi na.

di natuloy yung trade ni miller at jr reyes. ayaw na raw galawin ni jong uichico yung lineup dahil baka masira daw chemistry. si marlou aquino nag apply sa bgk pero di rin tinanggap. ayun nag retire na lang since wala daw team na gusto kumuha sa kanya.

sayang yung proposed miller-reyes trade. kings could've used an agile big guy.

Langya kung nagkataon pala nagkasama sa Ginebra sina Marlou at Yancy (the original tamad at his heir apparent hehe). Sana kumuha sa dispersal draft ang Ginebra, kinuha sana nila si Mac Andaya, gaya nga ng sabi ko mas physical maglaro ito kesa kay Yancy na puro tira sa labas ang alam, sayang din si Ken Bono....

hahaha kung nagkataon pareho silang nasa dulo ng bangko. yes, sayang si bono. sino ba nakakuha sa kanya?

You can say what you want to say pero dapat talaga naging MVP si Caguiao, he won four (4) championships with Ginebra but still 'di pa din s'ya naging MVP....

i remember there was a season when he was almost certain of capturing the MVP crown. just can't exactly remember what happened to him. injury? was this during the time when the kings were crowned all filipino champions?

if not for his injuries, samboy lim could have been an MVP. never completed a season whenever he played.

latest news sa BGK camp, di nakapasa sa BGK ung prospect import nilang si Joel Smith.. hindi daw impressive.. kaya hanap uli sila ng bago.. Joel Smith nag try out naman ngayon sa BMEG..

well said...it was a well fought series. nothing to be ashamed about. kings went down fighting. unfortunately, it really boiled down to execution and breaks during those close games...especially that double OT loss.

again kings had their chances but it was san miguel which executed well during the end game. ginebra went down fighting, though. bawi na lang sa susunod.

one game at a time and let's see if they did not get demoralized with that heartbreaking loss. kings had a golden opportunity to steal a win...nabulilyaso pa.

sayang! best wasn't good enough to salvage the win. heartbreaking loss indeed. breaks of the game...a missed free throw by caguioa that could have given them a 3 point lead...2 missed free throws by jayjay...the traveling call on tubid. kings had their chances but it was not meant to be.

Sana nga mag Game 7, lalo na at SMB at BGK ang maglalaban, siguradong magandang laban yan. Parang Celtics-Lakers yan, patok sa takilya at tiyak malaking pera sa pba yan.

tumpak...ubusan na naman ng ticket.

I don't believe SMB will be as lucky the next time around. A very interesting series indeed.

i believe so, too. maybe just like in the alaska series, law of averages will soon catch up on the beermen. an exciting series indeed. this can even go the distance...a winner take all game 7.

I have a suggestion: why not, get the core of the TNT to represent RP supplemented by standouts from the Gilas? Meaning, 1 season, wag nang pasalihin ang TNT muna.

 

Sa dulo nito, pag nagkabuliyaso, ung 5 pro pa ang sisihin sa chemistry and gelling.

might work considering that TNT has been together for quite some time...maybe 5 or 6 from TNT and the rest from the Gilas team. peek, carey, williams, dillinger, alapag and ryan reyes plus chris tiu, casio and 4 other standouts.

question now is who handles the team? toroman or reyes?

I sure hope so. For me, the most memorable Ginebra-Alaska series was the 1997 Reinforced Conference. Chris King was the import then of Ginebra together with Noli, Marlou and Bal. The beat the hated Aces in 6 games. Sayang lang at trinade sina Noli and Marlou. Solid ng frontline na yun.

Actually, nung 90s pang contrapelo yung Alaska. I hated the 5 of Juinio, Hawkins, Jolas, Cariaso and Johnny.
