3. I guess the only way to filter out good and bad is to raise the standards of education... where the fallen can be taught skills training...

4. the only way to create jobs in my opinion is to expand away from manila. make new cities and create new economies...

i was 21 that time, just graduated college, going for my PRC, that time she broke up with me, because of a these reasons.

1. i'm broke (college days and after) scarce on cash. no dates and all...

2. she wanted to go abroad... she wanted a good life.

hindi po ubra. yun perimeter walls usog namin. pero yun perimeter walkway mawala. we already informed them, we will buy their property to save money. they don't want. basically mahal na din yun lupa and the house means everything to them. so we asked them buy our property, they cant no money. so we asked to rebuild the firewall at their boundary. they don't want well basically wala din pera para sa construction. we asked for a lease on that portion of the property, also reject. so off to the courts na cguro. mabagal na process... yun part ng house na affected is 1.2 (encroached length) x 5.5 (encroached width)

affected yun 2 bedrooms sa 2nd floor and yun kitchen sa baba.

we bought that thing way back 1980's (even before they built anything there as in talahiban lahat) they started building a shanty and slowly becoming concrete and all. around 1990's~2000's nobody noticed that the monuments were moved. but as we are planning to build there, planning stage, we asked a surveyor to check the boundaries and any encroachment. we don't want to encroach to any property and later knowing we need to demolish something or move a wall. that's costly. so the surveyor found out that the adjacent property has encroached on our property.

then talked with the owner of the adjacent property. tigas ng ulo and cannot be discussed in an orderly manner. mali na nga tao ayaw pa magpatalo... re survey, re survey, all findings same.

I guess we let the long process take over. maybe in 5-10 years we'll get it. saying mga plans sa lugar na yun. oh well... pinas..

basically dahil inusog yun monuments yun line ng perimeter walls nag encroach around give or take 1.2 meter inwards, 50m long. the walls will be demolished and we will build our own wall based on the survey. problem is the portion of the house (firewall) that encroached.

if cheap hotel is what you're looking for i suggest hotel 81 (like a motel) around $100 a night. other hotels are higher (130~300~1000) a night. hotel 81 is everywhere.

if you can't afford it, try to look for transient rooms, or dorm rooms, its a hell cheaper, like $25-50 a night.

another advice, dont sleep near bugis, its damn expensive. look for rooms outside the city. dont worry, MRT's buses and taxis are good. of course you just need to spend a bit more time during your commute

last advice - i'd rather sleep in condo's (find one in google) costs around $50 a night, hell better than motels, and cheaper than hotels. maybe can chat with some other pinoys in Singapore.

actually, they know, inusog nila yun muhon. and they are trying to fight their way out, well basically kasi pag nagbakod kami, kailangan nila gibain yun pader nila and yun 2 columns, and walls nun 2 storey house nila.

well for us, cost is not an issue kasi we are standing by what is right. akala kasi nila hindi malalaman, wherein 2 surveyor na, same results. time wise, well maybe one year to two years we can wait for a decision.

for them its cost and an unstable house. as two columns need to be retro fitted or just demolish the thing down.

well, (my opinion) the best place to retire would be.....

1. baguio (outskirts) - cool climate, pine trees, fresh air, time is just infinite. quiet and whistling winds, fresh everything, veggies, fruits, air.... just an hour drive is la union, well.. a beach is nearby, just 30 minutes there's hotsprings... beach, hotsprings, massage... endless supply of girlfriends na lang kulang....

2. tagaytay - well almost same with baguio, beaches of batangas, hotsprings of laguna, only difference would be, its just an hour (kung walang traffic!) from manila.

3. cebu - its like a better looking sister of manila. a hub for tourists, beaches, hotels, kawasan, bohol, palawan, boracay siquijor, etc. (best place if yo own a sailboat) as well.

the notion of income and money. remember guys, people do survive even in the most remote villages. they have a smaller or slower economy. but if city people can invest and build from there, im sure money will become faster, better when the weight of the economy is shifted from manila to the provinces. so, make a business or invest together as a group. there is just too many things to do out there. retirement is the best hope to get there soon

@pinpoint - advice, buy the shares from the shareholders, if the shareholders are dead, get an attorney to facilitate the sale or transfer of shares from your relatives to you or to whoever is applicable. its quite tedious. if i were you, sweet talk everyone, board resolution and restructure the corporation and amend it with the sec.
