  1. nabasa ko rin dati sa mga ibang online forum na may iphone thread....

lots of users are complaining na mahirap daw mag text sa iphone..

sagot ng isa, if you bought an audi, ferari or BMW, dont complain na mahal ang gasoline.... same way with iphone. they are not really meant for "text-only" users" na pang pe prepaid (kagaya ko). theyre meant for those who frequently calls; those who have money to burn for those huge phone bills, kaya ka nga nakabili ng expensive na phone eh. in other hand, there's nokia & other phones for you. kaya nga nung nabasa ko to, i stopped complaining. bili na lang ng back up na ordinary phone.

  5. ^ I download from Cydia and App Store.

What app are you using to forward messages? It's so frustrating not having this capability. Im thisclose to actually paying for the Ireal SMS.

You can download WeTool from Installer.app, not sure kung meron din sa cydia. you can forward sms and you can delete messages individually ( no need to clear the whole conversation as given by default) and more...

  6. USA.

But if USSR is still a country as a whole. Malakas na team ito. Formidable opponent for the Dream team.

true. imagine a unified teams of russians, lithuanians, serbs, yugos, the old yet tough as a rock kazakhs....... vs US..

that's always a nuclear war waiting to happen. in this case, USSR ako.

  7. For those of you who never read this open letter published a few years back, or for people who have just got into the game, I figured I'd post it for those curious. Or for people who wanted to re-read it for inspiration or for nostalgic purposes. It's well written, and it always gets me choked up. With out further a due, Michael Jordan's letter to basketball.

"Dear Basketball, It's been almost 28 years since the first day we met. 28 years since I saw you in the back of our garage. 28 years since my parents introduced us.If someone would have told me then, what would become of us, I'm not sure I would have believed them.I barely remembered your name.

Then I started seeing you around the neighborhood and watching you on television. I used to see you with guys down at the playground. But when my older brother started paying more attention to you, I started to wonder.Maybe you were different.

We hung out a few times. The more I got to know you, the more I liked you. And as life would have it, when I finally got really interested in you, when I was finally ready to get serious, you left me off the varsity. You told me I wasn't good enough.

I was crushed. I was hurt. I think I even cried.

Then I wanted you more than ever. So I practiced. I hustled. I worked on my game. Passing. Dribbling. Shooting. Thinking. I ran. I did sit-ups. I did push-ups. I did pull-ups. I lifted weights. I studied you. I began to fall in love and you noticed. At least that's what Coach Smith said.

At the time, I wasn't sure exactly what was going on. But now I know. Coach Smith was teaching me how to love you, how to listen to you, how to understand you, how to respect you and how to appreciate you. Then it happened. That night, at the Louisiana Superdome in the final seconds of the championship game against Georgetown, you found me in the corner and we danced.

Since then, you've become much more than just a ball to me. You've become more than just a court. More than just a hoop. More than just a pair of sneakers. More than just a game.

In some respects, you've become my life. My passion. My motivation. My inspiration.

You've my biggest fan and my harshest critic. You're my dearest friend and my strongest ally. You're my most challenging teacher and my most endearing student. You're my ultimate teammate and my toughest competitor. You're my passport around the world and my visa into the hearts of millions.

So much has changed since the first day we met, and to a large degree, I have you to thank. So if you haven't heard me say it before, let me say it now for the world to hear. Thank you. Thank you, Basketball. Thank you for everything.

Thank you for all the players who came before me. Thank you for all the players who went into battle with me. Thank you for the championships and the rings. Thank you for the All-Star Games and the Playoffs. Thank you for the last shots, the buzzer-beaters, the hard fouls, the victories and the defeats. Thank you for making me earn my keep. Thank you for #23. Thank you for North Carolina and Chicago. Thank you for the air and the nickname. Thank you for the moves and the hang time. Thank you for the Slam-Dunk Contest. Thank you for the will and the determination, the heart and the soul, the pride and the courage. Thank you for the competitive spirits and the competition to challenge it. Thank you for the failures and the setbacks, the blessings and the applause. Thank you for the triangle. Thank you for baseball and the Barons. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for the assistant coaches, the trainers, and the physical therapists. Thank you for the announcers, the refs, the writers, the reporters, the broadcasters and the radio stations. Thank you for the Pistons and the Lakers, the Cavs and the Knicks, the Sixers and the Celtics. Thank you for Phoenix, Portland, Seattle and Utah. Thank you for the Wizards. Thank you for the believers and the doubters. Thank you for Coach Smith, Coach Loughery, Coach Albeck, Coach Collins and Coach Jackson. Thank you for the education and the experience. Thank you for teaching me the game behind, beneath, within, above and around the game…the game game. Thank you for every fan who has ever called my name, put their hands together for me and my teammates, slapped me five or patted me on the back. Thank you for everything you've given my family. Thank you for the moon and the stars, and last but not least, thank you for Bugs and Mars.

I know I'm not the only one who loves you. I know you have loved many before me and will love many after me. But, I also know what we had was unique. It was special. So as our relationship changes yet again, as all relationships do, one thing is for sure.

I love you, Basketball. I love everything about you and I always will. My playing days in the NBA are definitely over, but our relationship will never end.

Much Love and Respect, Michael Jordan"

  8. Naku, hindi rin yata puwede mag-post nang personal life dun sa Kobe thread. Mahirap na ma-accuse ng flaming ng mga sensitive Kobe fans. :hypocritesmiley:

Para di-OT: MJ's gambling problems is the root of one of the NBA's biggest conspiracy theories. According to some, MJ's first retirement was really a forced leave imposed on him by Commish Stern. He was about to be investigated for his gambling, which some say, may also be related to the death of his father. So to avoid all the potential fallout to MJ in particular and the league and general, Jordan was asked to 'retire'.

the guy has psychological problem of being too obsessed in winning on everything. kahit ata sungkaan ipalaro mo sa kanya di ka nya titigilan hanggang di ka nya nadudurog. sana binaling na nya lang yun sa pagiging GM nya o di kaya pagiging coach.

  9. ano bang career stats category naging #1 si MJ? he didnt hold the most no of pts, most number of career Ws, rings, assists, etc. Even vince carter have more impressive dunks than him. Kobe's game duplicate his. So stats wise, he's not the best. kulelat pa nga sya sa 3 point shoot-out na sinalihan nya minsan eh, a measly 5 points.

so what made MJ the best? there must be something about him. hey, millions and legions of fans around the world and majority of posters in this thread cant go wrong. what's the x factor? marketing?

  10. ^^^

Uh no way! Masyadong malapad at bato bato katawan ni Moseley. The size difference is way too much for pacman to handle. Baka mapilayan pa si pacman pag tumira siya ng suntok sa sobrang tigas ng katawan ni Moseley. Isa pa Moseley's hands are too heavy for pacman to absorb and deflect. Kahit sangain nya tatalsik pa din siya sa lakas ng suntok ni Sugar

parang narinig ko na yan dati sa iba when when we all learned about the match of pacman- dela hoya was made. may isang kongresman pa nga na nakahanap ng pagkakataong umepal at sinabing delikado ang lagay ni pacman against the golden boy at baka "mamatay" pa ito sa ring dahil sa lakas ni delahoya.

    parang ganyan....

  11. mannydid the right thing...

Manny will show to them and even to us that Asian boxers especially Filipinoes must be RESPECTED

to what they achieve in boxing.

It open the doors for equality of treatment among boxers.

As we all know that to be on tough is not easy for a boxer who belongs in third world country.

Before they have been noticed (like Pacquiao), lots of works and pain must bear by a boxer.

Manny eat his pride by accepting a small percentage of pie against ODLH because he wanted to show

to the WORLD that he can beat ODLH and need to be respected. HE PROVE IT!

Now it is the time for him to stand in his PRIDE!!!

    Respect is all he wants!

We know that if he accept the 50-50 he can earn millions of dollars.

But for him, He is better than Hatton and we agreed on him.

So if he accept it, he (Manny) looks after the Money, but if he stands for 60-40 and let the fight off,

We must be proud of him because he keep his pride to be RESPECTED!!!

Its time for us asians not to constantly bow to the demands of these white bums. If we believe that its our right to demand for the things that is rightfully for us, stand for it. not because theyre white and are historically superior to us means we'll surrender our pride.

It's hatton who needs pacman more the pac will need hatton. I, too are disappointed that this fight didnt pushed thru. Im tired of him beating mexican ass. I want to see our brown brother demolish a white supremacist, to turn their pale faces into violet object. Go Manny.

  12. HATTON: I'll bring the money on the table. Look around you. You can see how many have turned out tonight. I sold out the City of Manchester Stadium in six hours, 55,000 people. Thousands follow me to Vegas. How many people does he bring from the Philippines? Not many...

PACMAN: i bring a lot of politicians including leeches during my fight..i bring the vice-president, congressmen, governors, mayors, national security adviser, DILG secretary, DOH secretary, DEP-ED secretary, DOT secretary and a lot more of leeches on the table....beat that Hatton......

  13. if only i can have it my way, i would even go as far as 80-20 for pacman. a 60-40 deal for me is quite insulting for his status...

Enough of this "Hatton can bring a bunch of British fans who can afford the expensive tickets or PPV, filipinos cant and will just have to endure hour-long tv ads for free viewing, that's why he deserved the equal share....blah..blah" kind of thing. They forgot that Pacman is not just a Filipino icon. He's an Asian Sensation. The lone sport superstar from Asia. Manny will bring rich boxing fan viewers from Japan, China, Middle East, etc. Not to mention that Hispanic fans from both American continents (he's got a fan base in Mexico) which most likely will also root for their fellow rosary-praying warrior in this match. boxing fans who happens to be in an inpoverished countries will definitely root for the former poor bakery boy from Gensan province. And they also forgot the multitudes of OFWs scattered all over the world. We would even consider Las Vegas as Pacman's homecourt as that pale-skinned Britton never fought outside the British isles. So who's the one who will bring the bigger audience? there's no valid reason for Hitman to demand that equal share.

  14. so how does this manny pacquiao victory really means to us, aside from entertainment? national pride man! Im working in an international company dealing with a lot of international offices. lot of email exchanges with malaysians, vietnamese, chinese, japanese, europeans, australians and americans. They all rave about manny's victory but my usual reply is " Manny is more than just a Filipino sensation, He represents the powerful fists of the east. He's the new face of Asian supremacy. Give us your trust, give us a major project, place us in the bigger role and we will definitely deliver, even at par with our white counterparts. Manny is just a typical poor boy from a remote province, cant afford his education, making a living as a bakery staff, but was given a chance to hone his skills and handled well by a brillliant trainer, and what we got is one of the greatest the sport had ever produced. Right now, were being assigned to a lot of major jobs from our different international offices definitely not because of Pacquiao but partly by setting his achievements as a fine example of how good we can be in any other areas. The look in the eyes of my expat bosses while we watch Manny crushed the face of the West and their utter disbelief is priceless.

  15. Pacman should just stop being a boxer and instead mag-pari na lang!!! All of his interviews always thank god...thank jesus...jesus is my savior....he gave me the strenght .....when the "stupid" "no self respect" David Diaz called him up and ask him about his performance ang sabi nya he told the mexican moron that "god gave him the strenght" and other bullshit!!! but when a reporter ask the mexican moron about his conversation with Pacquiao, he told the reporter that the pacman told him that he was just lucky.......He should just stop projecting an image of perfection and stop acting as a saint :thumbsdownsmiley:because he is in the company of the devils (GMA, CHAVIT,ATIENZA etc) instead ibili nya na lang ng TV yung tatay nya at sustentihan nya yung anak nya sa labas!!!Pweh!!!!!!!!

praying and thanking God doesnt mean one has to be perfect, saintly and clean. Mannny is just like any of us, nagkakamali, gumagawa ng kasalanan, sumasablay sa buhay. the only difference eh sikat sya. But i rather see him that way, na mapagkumbaba at di nalilimutang magdasal para magpasalamat, instead of being another airhead like mayweather or any other boxer na pag nanalo akala mo kung umasta eh conquering hero. Manny is different from anyone else. But i should agree maraming mga demonyong linta na kumakapit sa kanya.

  16. this is the time when i wish pro boxing is an olympic event, or a polished pacman became an amateur boxer first and won our country's first gold medal before turning into a prizefighter. Sana upon Pacman's retirement, he should help out in building a stable of brave amateur boxers, give funds for training in cuba or mexico, and give them attractive compensation for them not easily be lured by the pro boxing promoters.

  17. ^^^ and whats more... during their training, MP's camp keeps on telling the media that they will definitely go for Hoya's body. But in the first 3 rounds of the fight, Manny kept on attacking on his head, which is hard to imagine how manny would do it given the reach advantage ODLH has. alog na ulo ni Olden Boy kaya later on di na nya alam kung ano poprotektahan nya, kung ulo ba o katawan, at san manggagaling ang mga ratsada ni pacman, which eventually paralyzed him and reduced the golden boy into another punching bag diaz. Amazing display of strategy and Pacman really put on a clinic. Kudos to Freddie Roach, he's really an amazing tactician. for me, it's not Hoya's age, weight reduction issues or "benta" as some may call it. It all goes down to pacman's strategy and amazing speed.

  18. dami pa ring di makapaniwala sa galing ni pacman. there are really some guys who cant believe even their own eyes.

kung mga foreign boxing experts ang mga dudero, we can still understand their bitterness. they can't accept a poor little asian boy can beat the best out there in the west.

Pero kung kapwa mo kababayan ang gumawa ng ganun, there's one word for that: CRAB

I admit when i first learned of the dela hoya- pacman match, i really do think it will be a circus fight. and it was, indeed. we saw how a small guy can beat the ass out of a great and big boxer, and it's almost unbelievable. Nung dati sobrang dami ng nagpepredict na mauddurog si pacman, sigurado daw. ngayon, and alibis are overflowing. age, weight reduction, binenta... keep them coming.. it's just sad to see this age-old sick mentality still find its way even in this moment when we all should be happy and proud.

    anyway: BRING ON HATTON!!!!

  19. media is tooooo way focused on the LeBron sweepstakes 2010. LBJ going to the knicks made a lot of bum sports writers to have sumthing to do, that is to give new yorkers a fantasy of having the king. hehehe. eto naman si Lebron nakiki flirt.. but definitely theyre in into big disappointment.
