Kaya lagi sila late
  2. Its the same crowd and the same food you get in metro manila, but with sand. Thats just my personal opinion though. I love Boracay but at some point the price becomes unreasonable.
  3. Walang sense na ang airfare papuntang Boracay. Around 13 to 14K per person. Samantalang 12K lang papuntang Taiwan.
  4. JTV. Kailangan once a week either Saturday or Sunday night. Unfortunately wala kasi ako kasama madalas lumabas, kaya that's the most socializing I get on weekends. Doon na rin ako nagddinner. It's expensive. Maybe 6-7K per visit. But I realized it's a cost I'm willing to undertake kaysa sa nababaliw sa bahay whole weekend.
  5. Songdo is a university-business district. Better head to Incheon. The anmabangs are usually beside police stations and government offices. You wouldn't miss them. You need to be able to speak some Korean though.
  6. Any legitimately rich people would know that there's zero benefit from bragging that you're rich because: 1. Uutangan ka lang; 2. You will attract the wrong type of women, the gold diggers and 3. If you lose your wealth by some unfortunate circumstances, people have something to say. But it's also not good to be frugal. Always live a dignified life kasi may mukha din wife and kids mo. My entire childhood, my parents were extremely frugal even though we're financially comfortable. I think girls thought I was poor kaya hindi ako sinagot ng lahat ng niligawan ko when I was still studying.
  7. Sa totoo lang our hobby was more fun around 2-3 decades ago. It was way cheaper back then and the FV/BV was far higher than the average right now. To tell you how cheap it was, I was a college student on allowance and I was even able to regularly go every 2 weeks. Now I'm working and it even takes me a while to save up for a visit. Kaya hindi ko pinagsisihan yung nagastos ko throughout the decades, kasi hindi na ulit babalik yung ganyang rates na tipong twice a week pwede ka pumunta.
  8. Actually, a Japan trip is not as cheap as it was a few years back because of the plane tickets. I used to ride JAL and just paid 22K a few years ago. Now due to the insatiable demand by tourists, its already 40K+. It doesn't even make any sense. Plain and simple price gouging.
  9. Actually it does not pay to delay travelling because prices constantly increase. I didn't regret going to the US several years ago because back then the US was cheap. Airfare was just $700, hotels were just around $120 and you can easily eat out with $20. Now expect your airfare to be $1400, hotels are $250-300 and $20 will just get you something at a food truck. Japan is probably the only exception. For those already conscious during the 90's, you'd know how expensive it is back then. Late 90's, ramen was already 250 pesos. A subway ride was also 200 a pop. It was a status symbol as only rich people and japayukis were able to go to Japan. Kaya swerte mga tao these days.
  10. Surprisingly, there are a lot of rooms in Makati under 2K that are not bad. Just make sure to sleep with your clothes to avoid mites. I sometimes have successive meetings in Makati and I get a room so I have somewhere to stay the entire day. Its cheaper than hanging out in some cafe then having lunch or dinner outside.
  11. 3,500 for BK and 14,000 for ATW. That's expensive even for Chinese standards.
  16. The problem with these banks and the BSP is that they're adopting Western standards to a very financially informal country like the Philippines. A majority of people here earn money without the necessary documents. We're a developing country. People have side hustles which are not illegal. It just doesn't have the paperwork.
We are seriously considering it because we are tired of some serial borrowers pestering other hard-working employees asking to borrow money.
  18. If you noticed that money is easily pouring in, save as if you're a college student. That way you can live like a dignified person when the faucet is closed. It does not matter whether you're employed or have your own business. Years of easy money do not last very long. If you're employed, companies can close down or you can get retrenched. If you have a business, your sales can easily dwindle overnight due to a competitor or the business environment. If you have been through income loss or decrease for more than a year, you'll realize how depressing it is. It's different hearing it and experiencing it. You start doing excel sheets of your spending, you stop doing routine things for pleasure, and you suddenly have more idle time in the house because you're trying to save money by not going out.
Got severe depression during the pandemic not due to any illness but due to a lawsuit. I didnt believe it that time but unexpectedly it was a friend who helped me with that lawsuit when I confided to him. In just 6 months, he got it dismissed. Ang gusto ko lang ishare, kapag depressed ka, accept the root of your depression and ask for help from others. You wont believe how many people out there who are willing to help out of their good will.
  21. During the late 90s up to the early 2000's, this was as popular as mobile legends these days. Everyone was playing it and it was darn easy to liquidate your cards. Now barely any of the Gen Zs play it. A lot of millenials also shifted to MTG Arena. Almost impossible to liquidate cards these days due to the very small player base. Kung may deck ka, swerte ka na if you can recover 25% of its value. I stopped at Worldwake when I noticed the price creep and the dwindling player scene. Beautiful game, bad environment. MTG Arena you cannot recover your investment at all. If you pour 20K in it, there's no exit or cash out pag ayaw mo na. Physical MTG naman, it's just the same players, mostly with body odor pa. They barely get new players. Maybe this is just the old guy in me talking, pero pag nadaanan mo kasi yung golden era ng MTG, mawawalan ka ng gana maglaro these days.
  22. I used to love G-Shocks but these days I feel like function-wise it doesn't stand a chance against smart watches anymore. The whole point of G-Shocks was that it was accurate and durable. These days smart watches are like that, plus the all-important message/call notification feature.
  23. When you cheaped out on something then you realized it doesn't work that well. Recently bought a low-end phone because I didn't want to pay 20K for a gaming phone. It can barely play Genshin despite being branded as a budget gaming phone. I just gave it to a relative. What a waste of money.
  24. in the first place malabong mabigyan sila ng visa.
  25. Wala. Puro outcall and they're charging like 2-3k for HJ inclusive of massage.
