  2. Hindi talaga ganun kasaya pag business trip kasi naka work-mode utak mo. I love travelling but when it's already a work-trip kahit sa Japan pa yan I can't wait to get home asap.
  3. If you're into nightlife, Tides Hotel inside D'Mall is actually clean for the price. If you want to go bar hopping or clubbing don't bother with hotels in Station Zero because it's a major pain in the ass to go back after 10PM. If you want to see foreigners (Russians, Koreans, Chinese) in Bikini, get a fancy hotel in Station Zero. I was surprised that all of them are there in bikinis since private beach. They cover-up when they're in public areas like Station 2.
  4. Any hotel with its own beachfront for safety purposes. The public beaches along Station 1 and 2 can get really crowded and there are too many peddlers. Movenpick is a good choice.
  5. I have no problems with people going to spas and MPs, but there's something pathetic about some guys introducing a girl to others as his "chicks" pero walker na bayad naman pala by the hour.
  6. Not sure if it's the same for others, but at least where I work uso sa amin ginagawang "alaga" ang ibang employees. That means they're being given a monthly allowance. I heard it ranges anywhere from 20K to 50K a month. But I probably wouldn't get where I am if I'm that stupid right?
  7. The economy wasn't really that great in the 90's. If we remove our rose colored glasses and just rely on data, the late mid to late 2000's saw the highest increase in salary.
  8. Honestly, salaries for professionals in the Philippines isn't that bad. We have one of the lowest rent in Asia. The problem is really the fact that Filipinos have A LOT of relatives who aren't working. There's always one jobless parent, one jobleess sibling, and one perpetually sick lolo/lola who constantly needs money. Assuming you're an orphan life here isn't that bad makakaipon ka pa.
  9. I only did installment payments on iPhones, mainly because it's such a drag to fork out 50k in one-go. Last installment ko na this month sa iPhone ko and all I can say is that after this, I'll permanently be switching to Android. Instead of shelling out 50k on an iPhone, it's just better to buy a 10K phone, a 25K steam deck and a 15K tablet.
  10. Actually if you are a frequent traveler, you will realize how overpriced the Philippines is. The only Asian countries more expensive than the Philippines are probably Singapore and Korea. Hotels and food in Japan are probably just at par with the prices here. If you're a solo traveler, going abroad can be as cheap as a trip to Palawan or Boracay. You can adjust your accommodation, shopping and food according to your liking. Remember that the only real fixed expenses are the airfare, the hotel and the transportation. For example I only spent 100K on my Hong Kong trip and that already includes a lot of visits to massage parlors. But if you're with your family, ibang usapan na. Everything is X4 and hindi maiiwasan ang shopping which I think makes travel expensive.
  11. Honestly, I miss my life before the pandemic, specifically 2019. I feel like my life regressed since then. I earned a lot back then, and spas were cheap. Anytime I felt bored, I'd just go to the spa. Sometimes I'd even go three times a week. After that I'd eat something nice and I'd drop 1K without hesitation. It was the proverbial "party that was not supposed to end". Then the pandemic hit and both my income and prices never went back to pre-pandemic levels. Now I even hesitate spending 1K on eating out.
They usually have the word "anma" in Korean as opposed to the "sauna" which are legit saunas. Usually nasa basements sila ng old buildings. YMMV. Usually after a few visits tsaka sila pumapayag ATW. Medyo extremes sa Korea. Mabaet at polite sila pag nakaka salita ka at hindi ka "masakit sa mata" for them. Pero pag "masakit ka sa mata" nila, just be prepared for a lot of things.
  13. Frequent visitor ako sa Boracay before and after the pandemic. Dati groups of attractive young people would go. Tipong walwal party. Although alam naman natin most of them were addicts and they went there to get their kick. Ngayon either family or magjowa.
  14. May KTVs ba sila na open for foreigners who can speak some Korean?
  15. Mas accurate sabihin na more of lookism sa Korea. Associated kasi ang South East Asian at Indians doon as migrant workers. Advice lang na mabibigay ko keep a low profile and study local customs. It's generally hostile territory for Filipinos. Konting maling kilos, they're really vocal about their feelings unlike mga hapon na tumatahimik lang.
  16. Bring a "companion" from wherever you are. Partying and hook-ups aren't much of a thing in Boracay these days. Clubs and bars are also filled with gay people. It's really expensive though. It's probably at par with going to Taiwan and just a bit more and you can go to Japan already. Airfare is 12K, decent hotels are 6k a night, for standard dine-in prepare 1k per person per meal.
  17. Yeongdeungpo. YMMV though. They also *generally* don't like dark skinned foreigners.
  18. Sofitel was too expensive for its own good. It's inaccessible, old and expensive. Seriously it was a mistake to brand it as a Sofitel. Dapat tipong Mercure lang.
  20. The spas all over Wanchai. Pero hindi marunong mag English mga tao. Install Google Translate. As usual YMMV and be prepared na some cases may discrimination.
  21. Nothing good will happen if you open an establishment smack in the middle of Quezon City. Since it's accessible, gagawin na lang mall ng kung sino sino. The whole appeal of Solaire in Pasay was that it's inaccessible for many.
Pag mukha kang foreigner papatungan singil sayo. Laganap ito sa tourist spots like Asakusa. If you're trying to get laid there, soap land lang puntahan mo, assuming papasukin ka. Before you know it baka na-corner ka na ng Yakuza hehe.
  23. Puro trannies. Definitely not a sex tourist destination
Shibuya itself is really in a bad state. There's actually no need makipagsiksikan sa Shibuya or Ginza. There are a lot of smaller districts in Tokyo na peaceful. Same lang din naman halos mga restaurants and shops kasi iisa lang supplier ng lahat ng iyan. Best time to go for me is late January. Yan ang lowest season for tourists since everyone exhausted their money during Christmas. It gets a bit cold though.
Do it at your own risk though. Wild west ang China. Even my mainlander friends don't get girls there.
