  1. Twilight (garbage)

Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers (Excellent Sci-Fi novel. Better than the movie.)

    Chuck Palahniuk's Snuff (Mediocre Palahniuk.)

Robert Greene's 48 Laws Of Power (Always a good read.)

Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength (The best strength manual you can get your hands on.)

Neil Strauss' The Game (Highly entertaining.)

Sam Sheridan's The Fighter's Mind (Must read for combat athletes.)

Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Memories Of My Melancholy Whores (3rd round. Highly recommended.)

Haruki Murakami's South Of The Border, West Of The Sun (Typical sad Murakami.)

Joel Jamieson's Ultimate MMA Conditioning (For anyone who wants to fully understand MMA conditioning.)

Dave Grossman's On Combat: The Psychology and Physiology of Deadly Conflict in War and in Peace (Also highly recommended, tough guys.)

Brice K. Siddle's Sharpening The Warrior's Mind (For anyone who wants a deeper understanding of "training.")

Liane Holliday Willey's Pretending To Be Normal (An inside view on functioning Autism.)

    I'm in prison.

  2. B) would in any way those slimming or trimming belts or waist trimmers really contribute to shrinking your bulges...those colored black and blue on each side...hehe... B)

It dehydrates you by making you sweat more. But burning fat by simply wearing a belt is a ridiculous idea. If it worked, there would be no more fat people.

Totoo ba na nakakalaki ng tiyan ang cold water?

I find no logic in it. I think you actually expend more calories by drinking cold water (though the deficit is negligible).

biking ba is paraan din para lumiit ang tiyan?sakin kasi i do biking kaya d lumalaki masyado tiyan ko kahit minsan napapalakas ang kain ko.

    If you bike enough, sure.

  3. I prefer boxing. I'd rather see two fighters stand up and fight like real men, than two guys locked up in a "missionary" position on the ground as if they were re-enacting a dry-humping scene from a gay porn flick.

Spoken like a true narrow-minded, ignorant, biased boxing fan.

  4. i gained 10 pounds in 1 year.

no i have a larger belly. which is kind of annoying but got used to it.

problem is i eat crackers or bread during breakfast, lunch just bread or sandwich.

dinner i eat heavy lots of carbs, meat etc. i cant live without carbs eh.

parang pag protein or veggies lang pag gabi, nagugutom ako and wake up in he middle of the night.

i tried fit and right pero wala parin. nakakatamad din kasi mag gym, and besides i feel akward going to the gym,

    ive never done it kasi.

forget the pounds. i gained 25 pounds in like three months.

    fit & right is gay.

i used to do moderate protein and either high carb-low fat, or low carb-high fat. you choose.

you feel awkward because you've never done it. that excuse is silly. being lazy is also silly. would you rather look fat?

read up. the thread has a lot of pages prior to this, and you just might learn something.

  5. Palakol, that I'm not really sure. However, I tried mixing whey with hot water a couple of times and I noticed that its not as soluble as it is when using cold water. Pretty weird right?

i tried that once, and i melted my tumbler. haha. well, i guess the protein brownies are still on then.

Enervon HP! cheap and affordable protein supplement!

i used this stuff every day during the time i competed, pre and post workout drink. good stuff, but it kind of makes you fart a lot. and although it does provide some protein, it merely has 9 g per serving, or around half of actual protein powder.

  6. @ master olympus and master palakol.

thanks for the tip regarding creatine sir, sorry for the typo

yes i lift heavy weights pero 8,6,4,2 there are also days that i do low weights but hi reps. (all are compound exercises.)

yes sir i stay away from carbs, my only carb intake is during breakfast, i eat oatmeal with milk.

my diet is no pork, sodas, white rice, bread(for 5 years now). plus i dont drink and smoke(since birth. im 23 now.).

eggs, tuna, chicken breast, beef, fruits and veggies. is what i eat on a regular basis.

so basically, it's NOT no carb, as oatmeal, vegetables, and fruits are carbohydrates. and you don't actually Circuit Train WITH heavy weights. just checking.

Megamass is crap. Try whipping your own weight gain shake with a scoop or two of whey protein, 2-3 large bananas/ 1/2-1cup of oats and one table spoon of peanut butter. Blend together and enjoy.

does microwaving Whey Protein do anything bad? does it destroy certain ingredients of anything? because i mix my Protein Powder with Peanut Butter and a little water, and i microwave it for a minute or two to make some sort of high-protein cake i can chew on.

  7. "The greatest fear that people have is that of being themselves. They want to be 50 Cent or someone else. They do what everyone else does even if it doesn't fit where and who they are. But you get nowhere that way; your energy is weak and no one pays attention to you. You're running away from the one thing that you own - what makes you different. " - 50 Cent

  8. wait a minute...

my work out is 5 min run and a 5 min run to finish my work out.

i assume this is your warm-up and cool down?

1 hour circuit training but i lift heavy weights low reps. 5 rounds of boxing

let me get this straight... you do Heavy Lifting for Circuit Training?

    also...

i am also in a no carb diet for a month now.

    can you describe your diet?

so basically, you don't eat Carbohydrates while training with methods that require carbohydrates (namely Boxing and Circuit Training)?

and you don't want to loose muscle shempre who wants loose (aka maluwag) muscles... I think what you mean is lose or mawala...

    hahaha. panalo. pinuna na.

  9. MANNY PACQUIAO on TIME Magazine Cover

    http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx229/dcrjmed2014/tumblr_ksnr6wgbTC1qzcshlo1_250.jpg

i think i watched part of this shoot. there were a lot of Pinoys downstairs with boxing gloves and all, it made me feel just like home. funny thing in Hollywood, billboards of Pacquiao are everywhere, even before you get to the gym.

  10. i just came from the Wild Card and i watched Manny train. he's sharp as ever, and i doubt he slacked off in training like people say for publicity's sake. i've never seen hands move that fast.

  11. exactly, hard to beat someone who's hardly taking any damage while causing so much damage to his opponent -- and that is why Machida has been so successful.

By the way guys -- Rogue Magazine's Black Tie Brawl will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Makati tom night. Goodluck to all those competing.

    may fight card na?

Hallmarks of a smart fighter. :thumbsupsmiley:

    well, excuse me.
