rodstryker
i've been a working student way back in college kaya exempted sa ROTC, automatic 3 ang grades. Quote Link to comment
optimusprime666
i think ROTC is a good experience for everyone.yes it is a good source dicipline to everyone Quote Link to comment
pinguerero
ok lang mandatory ulit yan. at least its a good way of discipline kesa namn nasa mall or puro comp ang gawa nilagood pa cya to develop nationalism pero dapat talaga maganda ang supervision nila sa mga studentsin other countries nga its mandatory that you serve your country for 2 years like in taiwan or israel Quote Link to comment
megaman_0000001
well pde nman ibalik pero optional, athletes exempted at ibp... make it fun and challenging more than a breeding ground for corruption and assholes (d nman lahat).. Quote Link to comment
karambula
Dapat equal both male and female. Kaya naman required sa Taiwan at Israel kasi may imminent threat sa kanila (China and Palestine(add the other Arab nations) respectively). Di naman makukuha sa ROTC ang nationalism(with what's happening now, baka lalong mawala pa). My 2/100. madsci
Quote Link to comment
Sequenenre Tao
kaiiwas ko sa ROTC, inabutan ako ng NSTP...graduating ako (2003) pero may freshman class ako, mwehehehe. sarap mag ka gf na 1st year...totoo nyan tinatamad ako pag linggo...hehehehe for four years, isa lang napansin ko: lahat ng officers ng ROTC magkakamukha. parang clones.  siopao/sopdrinks na overpriced...test paper na 1 page pero 5 pesos...gademet (sakit sa tenga) at jesus h. christ (middle initial ni jesus is h according to our military bros? blasphemy na, baka idemanda pa sila ng libel ni jesus).  business was good back back then...pano kaya style nila ngayun? stankyou
noon: rotc = military displinengayon: rotc = softdrinks at siopao Quote Link to comment
kalahupag
No to making it mandatory again, keep it optional so that only those who are really interested in taking the course are are taken in. I think that way "quality graduates" will come out of the program. Quote Link to comment

Vegasboy32
Model platoon daw sya dati. Natatawa lang ako. I don't believe in this BS.
Mandatory? Again? Tsk, tsk.. Â During my time, it was mandatory and I've always wondered why the hell should I be out in the football field with the sun wasting my sweat away.. Even during High School, CAT was a big question mark for me.. I only took CAT so that I would not waste money by buying Boy scout uniforms coz I know that ROTC is a mandatory thing in college.. Â I still question the ROTC course and I still do not remember anything worthwhile except for the friendly conversations I had with some of my platoon mates.. Well, to each his own, I guess.. sir_boss_master
in my days, the only way to make up absences is to provide office supplies w/ receipt (obviously maibubulsa nila ang office budget) and isang boteng alak for the commandant. Â my advice if this is true, pagawa ka ng medical certificate na maysakit ka and bawal mapagod or maarawan if u want your 4 terms of rotc easy. but it's ok din to experience rotc and finish the course. say bye bye to those long hair college boy! GardoVersosage
If what the students will get again is the same lousy training, forget it! Quote Link to comment
Tommy_Cruz
Unfair! Totally Unfair! :thumbsdownsmiley: Quote Link to comment
robo_cop
basta ba kahit babae may rotc Quote Link to comment
Defiant
Olats to...  Although officer ako nung High school. I honestly think we do not need ROTC... It reduces the amount of time a student can spend on studying or focusing on other activities/interests that can help them more with their future careers. It promotes militarianism... and teaches officers to become power-hungry and normal cadets to disrespect authority.
