Xenon
Xenon:The tickets for entering Disneyland HongKong costs US$295 HongKong Dollars--roughly around US$38 per person. Whole day affair na yon and you can go to any attraction or rides. Pila nga lang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> naguluhan ako ha! US$295 HongKong Dollars? although i got what you're trying to say. THANKS! crazy8
My personal opinion only but if we have enough cash to spend, better to spend it at Disneyland CA than HKG. Check out the Disney website and you will see that a lot of the big ticket rides are not available at HKG including as mentioned Pirates of the Carribean and the Haunted Mansion as well as Indiane Jones Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Matterhorn Bobsled, Splash Mountain, and Star Tours. They only have 1 of the big thrill rides in Space Mountain. We will miss out on a lot of the attractions of a true Disney park. Hopefully they will add these in the future but for now, I really don't think its worth US$38 for what basically are 2 major attractions in Space Mountain and the Jungle Cruise. I'd rather pay the US$56 for the California Disneyland as it's for 2 parks (Disneyland and California Adventure) and the number of attractions versus those in HKG. Basically, I really think that those who've been to any of the other Disney parks (Orlando, California, Tokyo or Paris) will feel that this park is a let down. Quote Link to comment

I for one had visited Disneyland at Anaheim (obvious ba sa handle?) and California Disney Adventure, I was dissappointed that HK disneyland didn't include 'It's a Small World' ride, the monorail attraction, and the 'other' attractions you have mentioned....eventually HK disneyland will further expand in the near future (as seen in other Disney theme parks)...there are already reserved reclamation areas surrounding Lantau island for future expansion. What's best about going to HK is that it's only 2 hours of travel time by plane from RP, and HK offers other attractions which include Ocean Park. I already bought tickets for two on a HK disneyland tour package, costs 61,000 pesos (two persons) (TPI travels, MArket market at the fort) , 4 days and 3 nights PEAK season date (Christmas time)....itinerary includes 1 night stay at the Disneyland Hollywood Hotel, entrance fee, etc. Edited September 18, 2005 by Anaheim Quote Link to comment

strong_cock
Taba ni Lea Salonga ngayon ha... Anyway, I think Disneyland HK is good for people who doesn't have the time to go to U.S. and also for families who wants to take their kids and on a tight budget. It's closer, cheaper and it's better than nothing. Quote Link to comment
vent536
right now.. i doubt that hong kong disney would be the best.... yes it would be a THE CHEAP alternative for people who want to see disneyland or even set foot on A disneyland. Other than that i would also give a solution for those who cant get visa for going either to the USA. But still nothing would beat the Disneyland in Florida Quote Link to comment

You just confirmed what I was telling my dad for a while now. That 3 people will spend about US$1,500 to US$2,000 for a weekend in HK with 1 day in Disneyland. And for an additional US$500, you can instead send them to the States (Disneyland included) and stay there for more than just a weekend. Of course, a valid US Visa is necessary, and relatives living there (which most of us probably have) and who are willing and able to let you live with them. Mas sulit di ba? Quote Link to comment
hilars888
HK mas malapit, cheaper air fare around 200 dollars inclusive 2 nite stay; I've been to tokyo's disneyland (expensive!), this one (HK) is a more economical alternative... Quote Link to comment
allanon
disneyworld in florida is by far the best, imho. it has so many attractions and you can visit lots of other theme parks in the area if you're not satisfied. disney in hk seems way too small and has too few feature rides kaya sobrang haba ng pila sa space mountain and jungle cruise. it's worth visiting once and if you have kids it's a much cheaper alternative than other disney's but would be nice sana if they made it a bit bigger. shodandille
i've never been to disneyland in la but i used to live 2 hours away from disney world (orlando) and was there quite often.everybody's been saying its the BEST. and even tho i havent seen the other disney parks yet, i think disney world will be pretty hard to beat! it will be interesting to visit and see the other parks tho. Lingerie_girL
i've never been there pa eh....pero i heard na talagang maganda daw don, sobrang haba nga lang ng pila.....i just wish makapunta ko on my birthday........:thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
masi
Been to both, Orlando and Anaheim and Disney World is the best there is. The place is just awesome and huge!!!! The problem with going to overseas location of Disney, ie., Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong, the language used is the national language in the location. This somehow diminishes the value of "being in Disneyland feeling". Imagine Minnie Mouse greeting you "Nee hau ma?" or Pluto saying "Arigato!". Quote Link to comment

Maybe his voice was too high for me to hear. Anaheim has English, Japanese, and Spanish instructions broadcast all over the park, specially before a show. I guess for HK, they'd be in Mandarin and English Quote Link to comment
floppydrive
How come all the tour packages to HK Disneyland only specify one day there? Does HK Disneyland offer only single day tickets? Is it because it's that small? Anaheim and Orlando offer 3,4,5 day passes - the longer the stay, the lower the per-day cost. They even offer additional free days. Is it because the park is new and they know that many people will visit, and there's no need to bring out incentives at this time? Quote Link to comment

faceoff
Hope they extend that CX-Disney promo beyond November. I took that 7am flight to Hong Kong before and its not really full. Most of the passengers are business travellers. Quote Link to comment
kanski
Baka off-season mo nakuha yung flight na yon. We'd usually get that flight to and get the 9pm flight from HK and they are usually packed. With regards to the topic, HK Disney the best Disney park? I doubt it. Not right now anyway. Quote Link to comment
